Right? Back then it really was just to bring back the PH balance of your skin. But now there are a lot of new toners with active ingredients. Also I'm seeing so many people who are against toners but still use essences when they're basically the same thing...

Skin type : normal to dry, non-sensitive, sometimes reactive, doing skincare since I was 12 (I'm 24 now) 1. Cleanser : I stopped using cleansing soap in the morning 3-4 years ago, only using water or cleansing toner if necessary. I stopped having acne ever since (maybe only 1-3 times a year and only one spot each time but bc i skipped skin care routine) because my acne was from dehydration (my skin was super dry). 2. Toner : I love toner, I use toner since the beginning of my skin care routine. My skin is sometimes dry and flaky after cleansing (especially during winter) and the 'prepping' the skin works for my skin so I do it. I do think it depends on your skin type and preference. 3. Serum : I use a hydration serum every single day since I was 15, I use active ingredients serums (vit c mostly) occasionally, but I make sure I only use one serum when using them. I avoid mixing things if not necessary. 4. Moisturizer : used since the start. I have dry skin but i hate sticky oily thick cream. Now I use hydrating gel cream in the morning and moisturizing cream at night. 5. Sunscreen : no comment. Since baby probably. Current skin concern : only scared and worried about wrinkles and anti aging 😅 oh and I scratch my face a lot so even tho I don't have acne I have scratch scars 😭 My advice is ofc find a routine and products that works for you, not just on short term but long term.

I like the idea of spf in different layers and steps on skincare. I always find wearing the recommended amount to be too much to wear alone. Layering a serum and moisturiser with spf and then an elegant amount of sunscreen sounds more like what I’d do on a daily basis
I feel like washing with just water itself dries my skin out, but toning keeps it balanced My routine is CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser, Laneige Cream Skin Refiner, Krave Beauty Great Barrier Relief, La Roche Posay Toleriane Sensitive - my skin is super dry so I need all that hydration - then Biore Aqua Rich or Ultra Violette Supreme Screen

Please correct me if I am wrong. Isn't it counter productive if you use micellar or cleansing water in the morning because they still leave you with this sticky residue/film on top of your face, and you need to rinse it off with foaming cleanser eventually before doing the rest of your skincare routine?
Personally if I use micellar water in the morning, I would rinse with water as I don't want to leave surfactants on my face all day. I'm not sure about cleansing water as I'm not too familiar with those or if they are any different from micellar water.
You don't need a cleanser to remove your micellar water in the morning. Just use water. Micellar water has surfactant that still needs to be removed from the skin but since it only has the products you used last night and maybe some dirt, it's not as bad as melted make-up.
@@calico_queen8976 thank you for clarifying that out! Because based on my experience sometimes water is not enough to guarantee that my skin is clear from the residue of micellar water. I am glad that it works for someone else tho 😁

Another question is do I do all these steps before my makeup ? Meaning that after all these steps can I then apply primer and start my makeup? That’s it :) Thanks you so much because your videos have helped me in so many ways.
Hi, I’m not the person you asked but since it’s been two weeks: let me help you out with the sunscreen question. The answer is yes! There are different types of sun rays. There is UVA and UVB. UVB is the type that will Burn your skin (hence the B). UVA is the type that wel Age your skin (hence the A) UVB is not always around only when the sun is fully out. UVA is always around. When it’s cloudy, when it’s raining, when you’re in your home; it’s there. Sunscreen protects against UVA and UVB so always use sunscreen to protect against premature ageing! Hope this helps!

In my morning I feel I need to cleanse, as the night before I use facial oil and retinol which I feel needs to be washed off, so I use Sioris milky cleanser

Also can you ladies do a video on BIORE products especially their new line of Jelly cleanser with lemon and ginseng...I have been using this cleanser and OMG IT BRIGHTENS UP MY SKIN SO Good...infact it is also listed on the cleanser tube that it brightens skin in a week. Which it truly does it's a magic cleanser!!! 👍👍👍👍
@@sobean9309 If you use like really strong prescriptions (which most people don't) with sensitive skin then you should with a very gentle milky cleanser.
From everything I have heard from different creators is that we are supposed to allow the spf to form the protective film over our skin before putting anything else on top such as makeup. Would using moisturizer right after the serum render the spf ineffective? Dr. Dennis Gross has a sunscreen that contains vitamin c.
As we age do we need to add a skin care routine or the amount that we put in our face? Honestly am generous with my skin care routine however my main concern is what to add to my skin care routine as I age? Because the more we get older I believe the more we have to invest on our skin to stay young and healthy. 💛💛💛
Loved this video, super insightful! I actually just recently started to skip cleansing in the morning and man did it make a difference! I totally felt my skin was more hydrated and less oily. Though, still trying to figure out moisturizers that work with my acne prone/oily/combo skin 😩. Question: What if one of your products already have SPF/sunscreen in it (I use Bioré UV Aqua Rich Essence w/ 50++++ and I loooooveeee iiit!!)? Do you still need to layer sunscreen at the end?
Supergoop mate unseen made my dace and neck so dry. I will exchange it for another supergoop hopefully that helps. Also I been using for the entire 2020 The Ordinary ascorbic acid in combination with the Ferulic acid almost every morning before sunscreen. I really like the results from it. Can that be combined with supergoop vit C spf it that is just too much? Thank you ladies.
Is double cleansing always with an oil cleanser? I use the garnier mirecellar water for taking of makeup, spf and dirt and after I go in with the la mer cleansing gel with a foreo face brush 🤷🏽♀️ so do I also do double cleansing?
I don’t wash my face in the morning. I’ll use a hot towel cuz it feels good and to wipe sleep from my eyes. In the summer, I might wash depending on how my skin feels, like if I’m oily, but def not in the winter since my skin is super dry when it’s cold.
So would I put my moisture before the superfood vitamin c sunscreen? I want to make sure I’m doing it right and getting all the vitamin c absorption and benefits for my skin care routine.
I tried not cleansing in the morning, but it just feels weird and I think it made my skin worse. But I know my face isn't that dirty in the morning since I just cleansed at night. So what I do is shorten the time instead. I cleanse my face for about 10 sec in the morning instead of the recommended 30-60 sec.
At 19:58 Fel pulls out some Vit C serums, can anyone confirm what they are. Looks like The Ordinary one and the Purito one. Also absolutely love your vids Ro & Fel you guys made my 2020 ❤️❤️❤️.
I would suggest something hydrating and soothing like the Purito Unscented Centella Toner but use it the morning after, you shouldn’t apply Vitamin A products (like Retinol and Tretinoin) to damp skin because it increases irritation. If your not using vit a definitely layer the hydration! ❤️
I only do a nighttime cleanse and only use two products with my face tool. Since ive had this light red rash on my face/cheek area for years and im sanative to almost every product! So im nervous to try new things.
No, those products when used together are very stripping I would recommend only cleansing with a water based cleanser once. Check out double cleansing with and oil or balm first!
No, both of them are good as stand alone cleansers but too much can be too stripping. I suggest alternating between the Foaming then the SA 3x a week. Or you can use the Foaming at morning and the SA at night.
My routine: 1. Wash face with water 2. cleansing gel 3. wash my face again with water 4. toner 5. moisturizer 6. sunscreen I repeat this twice in the day, except that at night I don’t use sunscreen.
skipping cleanser in the morning has really helped my skin in the winter!

I love your videos so much!
Can you do a makeup routine video? Love your looks always!
From everything I have heard from different creators is that we are supposed to allow the spf to form the protective film over our skin before putting anything else on top such as makeup. Would using moisturizer right after the serum render the spf ineffective? Dr. Dennis Gross has a sunscreen that contains vitamin c.
My morning routine :1) rinse with clear water 2) sunscreen
I’ve missed you guys!!!!
As we age do we need to add a skin care routine or the amount that we put in our face? Honestly am generous with my skin care routine however my main concern is what to add to my skin care routine as I age? Because the more we get older I believe the more we have to invest on our skin to stay young and healthy. 💛💛💛
Love for Felicia ❤️♥️
Loved this video, super insightful! I actually just recently started to skip cleansing in the morning and man did it make a difference! I totally felt my skin was more hydrated and less oily. Though, still trying to figure out moisturizers that work with my acne prone/oily/combo skin 😩.
Question: What if one of your products already have SPF/sunscreen in it (I use Bioré UV Aqua Rich Essence w/ 50++++ and I loooooveeee iiit!!)? Do you still need to layer sunscreen at the end?
I love each of your styles! Do you all have a page where we can see where your clothes are from?
In the summer, I might wash depending on how my skin feels, like if I’m oily, but def not in the winter since my skin is super dry when it’s cold.
omg first!!!! This is the first time for me ever pfft
I love the plumpness in the morning too 😺✊🏻
So would I put my moisture before the superfood vitamin c sunscreen? I want to make sure I’m doing it right and getting all the vitamin c absorption and benefits for my skin care routine.
Please look into the brand called Roundlab esp their dokdo toner!
They tried that product in this video: ua-cam.com/video/zxJgkXEz1-M/v-deo.html
Beautiful girls 💖😘 Thank you so much.
I tried not cleansing in the morning, but it just feels weird and I think it made my skin worse. But I know my face isn't that dirty in the morning since I just cleansed at night. So what I do is shorten the time instead. I cleanse my face for about 10 sec in the morning instead of the recommended 30-60 sec.
try the versed Sunday morning please!
Could you suggest us which is the best makeup primer in terms of skin protections and ingredients that u would surely recommend?
I've been struggling with finding a good makeup primer for my oily skin so that it wouldn't ruin it.
Me with a 2 step routine 👁👄👁
lol me
make sure there is sunscreen lol
What are your 2 steps?
Hi 5
SPF?!??!!!!
Do u need additional niacinamide (ordinary) if it’s an ingredient in the Supergoop sunscreen?
Missed you queens
At 19:58 Fel pulls out some Vit C serums, can anyone confirm what they are. Looks like The Ordinary one and the Purito one.
Also absolutely love your vids Ro & Fel you guys made my 2020 ❤️❤️❤️.
I think it's the granactive retinoids 2%
So happy while watching and excited but broke!!
i got a question when taking a patch test do you wait minutes to see if your skin reacts or is it a overnight thing and i’m testing with exfoliation
I think patch tests are usually 24-48 hours
@@monique7885 ok thanks
Is the tony moly gel to water cleanser considered a cleansing water?
It is a second cleanser for the nighttime. It isn't a cleansing water because it isn't watery like a micellar water
What toners can be used the nights I use trentinoin?
I would suggest something hydrating and soothing like the Purito Unscented Centella Toner but use it the morning after, you shouldn’t apply Vitamin A products (like Retinol and Tretinoin) to damp skin because it increases irritation. If your not using vit a definitely layer the hydration! ❤️
I only do a nighttime cleanse and only use two products with my face tool. Since ive had this light red rash on my face/cheek area for years and im sanative to almost every product! So im nervous to try new things.
Propolis + Black Tea + Snail Is A Must Have To Me...
Is it ok to use two cleansers like a SA cerave cleanser and the flaming cleanser ????
Yes it's fine because the foaming one is just the basic and the SA one could be used when you need gentle exfoliation
Yes, only use them one at a time
And probably only use the SA one 2-3 times a week depending on how oily you are, don’t over exfoliate!
Love youu💞
I have oily skin and I tried the only cleansing at night, I would break out. I hardly ever wear makeup because I break out if I wear foundation.
My routine:
1. Wash face with water
2. cleansing gel
3. wash my face again with water
4. toner
5. moisturizer
6. sunscreen
I repeat this twice in the day, except that at night I don’t use sunscreen.
Do you recommend facial mist as a good part of a skincare routine? Especially in humid countries and now that we’re wearing face masks all the time.
They've mentioned the sioris time is running out mist, neogen truffle mist, and the make prem mild soothing mist
