You are over-thinking it. They dont scrutinize wine bottles. Just use screw-tops & put new heat shrink seals on. Easy & works great. Don't bother with food coloring. I use bubble wrap on the bottles to protect them & they won't even bother with that.

Perhaps get the color correct in a vessel prior to the pour..into the bottle… also rinse the bottle while the cork is inside, to protect the label.
The cork starts swelling if you dont get out of liquid quick . I like the color match idea though
