I’m loving these videos from Gibson but I gotta say there’s a serious lack of guitar playing except for the subtle background music. If you’re gonna show us someone who deserves his own signature guitar let’s hear him play the damn thing.
Well I don’t know who he is and I clicked on the video hoping to discover a new talent. No such luck. My comment was directed at Gibson anyway not the artist.
Lisa Sez he’s a good player but this video is on Gibson’s channel and is an advertisement for their guitar. Why should I go out and buy a Lukas Nelson Les Paul? I have no idea. If Gibson wants to sell guitars they should feature players playing. I was not commenting on Lukas Nelson.
Beautiful guitar, and great sound. I think the whole video is about the story of the player and why they are connected to this particular model. Words were deep and from the heart. Thank you for sharing Gibson!!!
Couple things here. Lukas is one of the most humble, sweetest guys in music, period. Super talented and versatile. The bridge is compensated so it will intonate. And do you reeeeaaaallly need to hear it? It's a LP Junior with a P90. You've heard it a million times. The speed knobs are period correct, as are the tuners. The guitar isn't worth 1599 and you once made a guitar out of a frisbee and a PU out of a plastic guitar from Wallmart and it sounded better? No you didn't, and no it doesn't. And lastly, nobody is making you buy anything. Don't like it, move along. This ain't no government mandate.
Nice. I owned a 57 Les Paul Junior a while back, but had to sell it for cash for medical reasons(my cats needed a vet). Now I may want to get one of Lukas Junior's model.
Les Paul Jr. single cut is all the guitar i ever need. Wait…. I need two of ‘em. One tuned a 1/2 step lower than standard and one in open G. Straight no chaser into a cranked tweed champ is the sound of music and rock and roll.
Screw Gibson, but I won't let my feelings about them change the way I feel about Lukas Nelson. He is a great musician and songwriter. And I love the way he plays that guitar. Gibson’s having a lend here.
Please Gibson surely the whole point of these is to showcase the guitar so let's hear it I don't want to listen to the chat....well maybe just a little.
first two minutes talking about his dad okay I get it his dad is famous. It's not until about minute three that he starts going into the details of the guitar itself. Then to have nothing played seems like I just wasted almost 5 minutes. I don't know if he's necessarily qualified after I searched a couple of his videos to have his own guitar outside of his family name I mean no disrespect but I think the only thing I took away from this is the bridge possibly being better than it was on the original unless they are utilizing the thing that Tom bukovac help create? There's a lot of interesting things that can be done with this guitar but this did not show really very much.
The only thing I want to know is how it sounds and if it is good to play, a guy talking the whole video through say me nothing and wont make me want to buy this guitar. Sorry Gibson
