Thank you for sharing another lovely walk. Sussex is unbeatable, and after 50 years of absence, apart from too-few and too-short visits "home". I still miss it terribly. The wildlife shots were a great addition and also the (what I think were) Highland cattle. I'm looking forward to the next one!
Thank you for watching, and we are pleased you enjoyed it. Having lived in other parts of southern England, West Sussex is very much our home. It is quite special with the downs, coastal areas and historic towns and villages, though it is being spoiled by over-development. We were not 100% sure whether the cattle were Highlands; they could be in their summer coats. They seemed uninterested in us though we are always reluctant to enter fields with cattle! We are making the most of the good weather here by filming when we have spare time.
Absolutely wonderful film. Sussex is so beautiful, and you capture its beauty so well. I love the countryside and all the wildlife and the not-so wildlife 😂. The European rabbit was a highlight for me. Having two domesticated bunnies myself, seeing this bunny in its natural habitat was amazing. Seeing all the habitants along your walk is lovely. It's really helpful to have a description of each . Although I recognise some, including the Highland cows, it's always nice to have the caption, especially for those I don't know or can't remember! Thank you once again for another relaxing and enjoyable watch.
Thank you for your kind comments. We were rather surprised just how tame the rabbit appeared to be, although once we got too close it soon disappeared. It helps having a 600mm lens! Glad you like the captions; we only introduced them this year, and hoped they would be helpful. Thank you for watching.
It’s Idyllic or what I perceive as idyllic. 🙂Autumnal signs. I heard the lapwing! What a friendly bunny. I ( like many others) won’t go near cattle. They worry me. A local retired G.P. was killed by cows & you read of similar occurrences quite regularly, unfortunately. Having said that took a tour around a local organic farm, saw the pigs, sheep etc then went into the field of cows! About 5 min in, the farmer told us the bull was in there too!! - assured us he was tame and he was! He was French ( Charolais) & only interested in the cows haha - typical Frenchman. Seriously though they were all very docile & we had a wonderful visit. I appreciated all the close ups- we hardly see butterflies anymore & honeybees are rare too. But we have oregano - it’s more than a pest, seeds everywhere but it attracts honeybees. Amazing to hear their buzz 🐝. I liked the unknown church - wow that mansion beyond!! All very beautiful thanks so much.
Yes, it is very much the rural idyll but, sadly, as is often the case, whilst humans shape the landscape they also spoil it. Having said that, this area is still quite pleasant - it is difficult to build on flood plains! As we have mentioned before, we are selective in what we film. We are always cautious with cattle, and had to face these monsters twice, though they appeared quite docile despite the massive horns. We have found that the shaggier the coat, the safer they are - and we believe these were Highlands in their summer coats. The mansion behind the church, in a much smaller form, was originally the vicarage. It now appears to be a very comfortable private residence. We are pleased you enjoyed watching.
A beautiful part of the country, well captured. Really good feel and the quality of the photography is high quality.
Thank you. Like you, we are blessed where we live.
