When I lived in LA in the late 80s/early 90s, it seemed like every time I went out to the clubs, I’d see Tiny. He was always very friendly looking & seemed like a nice guy, just the opposite of the roles you’d see in the movies. #RIPTinyLister

Another great episode about a legend in the industry. Side note, I love the fade out at the end of the video because it reminds me of listening to a record.
Haven't watch the video yet, but I expect it to be up to the usual high standards. I wish other people on UA-cam would look at this channel as a model of what to do.
I can't speak for anyone else. but I don't want to be online anymore than I have to. These videos get to the point, they don't beg people to subscribe or have annoying music that hurts your ears. And something I really like... the text stands out against the background so I don't strain my eyes.
I also like the personal touch, the narrator letting us know what music and movies he liked "back in the day." I always come away learning something new

I always think it's always bitter-sweet that most of the "scary big black dudes" are absolute teddy bears in real life. I imagine puberty hitting them hard and always being aware that they must be as kind and gentle as possible to avoid being in a bad situation.

You are correct about Hulk Hogan hating on the Zeus character! I remember all this. They didn't want to entertain the prospect of Zeus being WWF Champion!! His popularity was growing and WWF played his character down to the point where he wasn't the "formidable " opponent for Hulk Hogan!!
I watched Friday so much at one time that I learned the entire movie. My kids love the movie, everybody in my family. Members of my favorite band love the movie (the bass player at one time did a virtual video and said it was by "Big Perm Productions". And yes, they are white guys). They also had a song called SBABACO (Stop Bein' a Bitch and Come On). The movie is such a cultural touchstone in the black community, but white people love it just as much as we do. I remember him as Zeus and Z-Gangsta. I thought that was so wild that an actor could be a wrestler. When I saw him in "The Fifth Element", I thought that was the coolest thing ever. He wasn't playing a bully or just a body with muscles. He was playing an actual character with some real substance, and that was when you got to see his range. I loved him, and when he passed, it was such a sad day. I was sad when John Witherspoon passed away, but Tommy "Tiny" Lister... it was like... unreal. I actually said out loud, "Aww man! Not Deebo!" Great episode. Wow! You on your way to gettin' your 100K plaque! I wish I could draw in subs like you! "What'choo got on my 40, homie?"
