- So we need to get this car done, so everything else is taking a back seat at the moment, and were going to solider our way through and get this car done before touching anything else, today we have made HUGE progress, the engine is back in and all running, gearbox is on, seats are in, brake likes are on and even the seats are in.

After editing this video.. I’ve realised I’ve put the hydro brake lines the WRONG WAY AROUND!😩😂 let’s hope I can buy an adaptor for the braided line end because Id rather not pay for another one 😬😂

If U remove the drop glass,the window channel bolts out,giving access to door locks and mech etc.
Did BMW really build the door around the lock mech? Doubtful. If it went in, it will come out 😬

Maybe instead of bolts for door handle maybe sum countersunk screw headed bolts (ones like the ones u use hold discs on with)

I think you've done really well with this build, Lee. It's not been easy at all and like you say this isn't your bread and butter it's been a proper learning curve. In respect to "ruining the shell" like it's a drift car exactly haha!? End of the day, your car, your time, your money. I love watching your videos and I won't be the only one, keep going 💪💪

I don't understand that you don't have time. Being a UA-camr, surely time is your main commodity. The longer a project is uploaded, the more views gained. I'm sure you'll reply with your explanation 😅
Sadly long term projects lose views exponentially, that’s why UA-camrs try to flip a project wrong as fast as possible to move on to the next

All the weight in the OE doors is in the glass. You could have removed all the inner skin on the OE door and you'd still have some structural integrity and channels for the poly windows to sit in. Plus you'd have saved a load of hassle swapping all the mechanisms over. All that work for minimal weight saving. You'd have been better off having a good shit. Also not all tracks or race/drift series allow f/glass doors, especially without substantial door bars. I'm not saying any of this to be a cockwomble Lee. I like what you do, hence subbing. Pleeeeeease don't fit those awful M3 arches though mate. They're terrible quality. Lots of love. Mark
I’d rather put the doors on tbh, I have a full cage with double door bars.. and I am fitting the whole kit 😂
I put that exact same kit in a skip. The rear quarters have all the structural rigidity of a wet fart on a windy day but I won't say I told ya so. Good luck with fitting. Should provide some comedic value anyway! @@itsleelockwood
Just had a look at doors for an E30 they range from about £300 upto £700 a pair 🤣 I'd be crying not that I give a fuck like chop away 🤣

Im not putting hate on your build but why the hell would you put holes in your new fiberglass doors like that, just glue the brackets to the door andbit will fine, and the OEM doors that have new been butchered, if you had of removed the window then you could of removed the window slider runner then have space to remove the locking mechanism, then you could of then sold the doors, stop rushing your build because its ruining your build quality and i know you have it in you to build a quality drift car so slow down abit please.

The way i see it, your putting videos out there for hundreds of thousands of people to see, so you really should be wanting quality in your videos, people look up to UA-cam contact creators now, so you should a be inspirational to them viewers, im not having ago, just what im seeing as a subscriber/viewer.
