For the ignition live you could have just turned the fuse box over go to the looms running to the back of the box and your be able to find an ignition live in the loom and solder you wire onto it, will look nice and neat and hiding when the fuse box gets mounted back up 👌
One thing I admire about you is you will have a go. Doesnt matter what it is, and that's all about learning. Funny moments when things go wrong which makes good viewing. Credit to you lee you keep us entertained
