Park Chan-Wook is a master of psychological thrillers. The Handmaiden was absolutely awesome and almost everything he's made are bangers. The Vengeance Trilogy is still some of the most compelling movies ever made.

Love to see how Downey continues to reinvent himself - even if he's doing it by taking a page from Peter Sellers/Mike Meyers playbook by playing so many characters in the same film. Also, it's nice to see a broad range of Asian actors getting so much work! Not so long ago a project like this would not get made because it requires so many Asian leads - now it gets made BECAUSE it does.

It was so intense. Did you know that you couldn't get certain jobs with the government? or military is you just VISITED certain communist countries? If you went to the Soviet Union as a tourist even for just one day, you could kiss any chance of a top level US Govt. Job GOODBYE at the height of the COLD WAR. Back in the 1980s I knew a guy who LOST his job with a US aerospace company just because his BROTHER married a girl who was Russian (and a soviet citizen at the time). It was crazy.

I have a co worker that fought in the South Vietnamese army, because of Reagan he was able to come over here to America when the north took over. It’s funny to me that Hollywood thinks the average American is stupid and can’t tell the difference when average blue collar workers work with immigrants daily. I deal with Koreans, Vietnamese, Russians, North Sudanese, Pakistanis etc.
I really appreciate them using VIETNAMESE american actors to play Vietnamese characters. Not only will they look Vietnamese but chances are their spoken vietnamese has a good chance of being better (not guaranteed of course, we have tons of Americans of various ethnicities who cannot speak the 'mother tongue', me being one of them, hahaha) but I like casting that authentically gets actors from that ethnicity.
All of the movies and shows nowadays are trash, no longer any true meaning, just trash to make somebody feel sensually thrilled, or shows part of the social engineering agenda - worthless
