Dude when I watch solos played I'm always skeptical at what they're playing, how they're playing and if it is worth the time watching. You are worth Hearing and Watching! Awesome
Hey Rob, thanks for this, i am learning the song and that last solo is tough, it is the first video i see where we can see the notes you play, i'm gonna use this and try to put a solo together that i can play, thanks man!
I have wanted to play this for ever, but I was too lazy... Now, I will nail it for sure, thanks to you !! Please send me your tab, because it is probably the only accurate one..
I. need help. supposed to learn it in a couple days. I have the whole song down to the - well last solo. I'm gettin down to basics with this - pentatonics. can you help me out with which scales I should learn before attempting this great whale of a beast?
it looks like you're playing the way my GnR tab book has, but watching slash play, he plays alot of the different parts from the same position (obviously!), anyway, its great to see someone getting the same effect from what I've got written, will be a great help in getting the solo down. Thanks for a clear and helpful vid!!
@HitlerCamper Not a rule. You can read tabs and watch guitar lessons on youtube but if you reach the level where you want to play this solo that means that you should be able to use your ears. Slowing down the video at the fast parts also helps. But you can't tell people that this isn't a lesson because he' s not talking. He's clearly showing you what to play and your job is to absorb it and learn it. Do you think 25-minute videos of someone telling you what fret to press on what string have a certain quality to them? Anyways, sorry for rambling too much :-)
nathan maynard Did you go to school? That is the way lessons are structured. I acc learned the solo off a tab in the end, but one can’t call something a lesson when there is no teaching. Don’t just @ me with an Ad Hominem.
t depends , you got to have a schedule for your guitar studies , i mean , if you practice it everyday for about 3 hours your work will get better and better . Dedication and patience are the key :)
Yeah, I'm aware of that. I learned this entire solo using tab from a Cherry Lane book but I corrected the parts that were wrong. The positions might not be like Slash, but the notes, for the most part are as close as I could get.
Great work, always love the dedication some people put in sharing their work on UA-cam this is really brilliant, helps so many people around the world become better guitarists. I do however understand how some of the “perfectionists” out there roaming the web might come and feel tempted to maybe thumb down the video, on 1:12 you’re obviously playing in A minor pentatonic towards the bottom of the neck (i.e. frets 17-20) but the real song is still in G minor pentatonic (i.e. between the 15-18 frets) and the climbing noodling isn’t really functioning like it should... I understand you’re playing on top of the real song but that one bit feels maybe just a bit too “messy” to the purists! Anyway, giving it a thumbs up at my end, good work man.
Good catch... What is that? The note he is playing is clearly in G minor, yet on screen he is fretting an A minor pentatonic. What??? And in the slowed down lesson part he plays that note back in G pentatonic. Maybe he recorded the track and filmed it at two different times?
@@PATKRO Might be just overdubs, or something, and recordings blended together, great work though overall, and I clearly gave it a thumbs up at my end - but yes I can see how some of the disciplined purists out there could come and go “wait, what” in a few small locations...
Good double time cover,,,I have all the notes, and play through alright. I just have to work the speed up,,,it sounds goods slower too, people shouldn't get discouraged if it's not up to speed. You weren't up to speed at one point. Thanks for tutorial,,,there's a couple different ways to play the same notes.
Greg Hinkle Good point. I may have been a little behind the beat in a few spots. It actually does sound better a little slower. Tell that to your drummer, good luck!😁
Have to say this is the best cover of Paradise City Solo I've heard. Accurate! Congrats, dude!
What's that, like 10,000 notes you memorized? Holy blurry fingers Batman! That was one awesome jam! Loved it, thanks for posting!

@@1trkmd Thank you so much! Super stoked to learn this. 🤘
Can 1 of the 3 tools who thumbs down this plz explain?
Sean Naughton because in a lesson you don't watch people do stuff, they actually are supposed to teach.
Fola A use your ears. If someone needs to tell you what frets to press on what strings then this solo is definetly not for you...

Thank you,
dude, on the video lesson slash gives for the song this is played on the 8-10th fret mostly rather than 3-5.

fucking nailed it in my opinion :0
dude, on the video lesson slash gives for the song this is played wearing a top hat, leather pants, and aviators mostly rather than a t shirt.
