LYRICS:
Adam Levine: YOLO
Andy: YOLO, you only live once.
The battle cry of a generation.
This life is a precious gift.
So don't get too crazy,
it's not worth the risk.
Chorus
Adam Levine:
You know that we are still young.
So don't be dumb.
Don't trust anyone,
cause you only live once.
Verse 1
Kiv: Ugh, you only live once,
thats the motto.
So take a chill pill,
ease off the throttle.
Jorm: Never go to loud clubs
cause it's bad for your ears.
Your friends will all be sorry
when they can't hear.
Andy: And stay the hell away from drugs
cause they not legal.
Then bury all your money in the backyard
like a beagle.
Kiv: Cause you should never trust a bank
They've been known to fail.
And never travel by car, a bus,
boat or by rail.
Jorm: And don't travel by plane.
And don't travel at all.
Build a bomb shelter basement
with titanium walls.
Andy: And wear titanium suits
in case pianos fall on ya.
And never go in saunas
cause they're crawlin' with piranhas.
Kiv: And never take the stairs
cause they're often unsafe.
You only live once,
don't let it go to waste.
CHORUS
Adam Levine:
You know that we are still young,
so hold off on the fun.
Cook your meat 'til it's done,
cause you only live once.
Verse 2
Jorm: Yeah,
and here's another piece of advice:
Stay away from kids
cause their hair is filled with mad lice.
Andy: There's no such thing
as too much Purell.
This a cautionary tale,
word to George Orwell.
Kiv: So don't 1980 force
any plugs into sockets.
Always wear a chastity belt
and triple lock it.
Jorm: Then hire a taster
make him check your food for poison.
And if you think your mailman is a spy
then destroy him.
Andy: No blankets or pajamas
they can choke you in your sleep.
Two words about furniture:
killing machines.
Kiv: Board your windows up
the sun is bad for your health.
And always wear a straight jacket
so you're safe from yourself.
Kendrick Lamar:
Take no chances (no chances)
Stop freelancin' (right now)
Invest in your future,
don't dilute your finances (uh huh)
401K, make sure it's low risk
Then get some real estate (how much?)
4.2%Thirty year mortgage,
that's important, that's a great deal
And if you can't afford it,
don't forge it on your last bill
Renting is for suckers right now
A dependable savings,
and you'll retire with money in your account.
Beast.
All:
YOLO, say no no.
Isolate yourself
and just roll solo
Be care-folo
You oughta look out
also stands for YOLO.
Chorus
Adam Levine:
You know that we are still young.
Burn the prints off your thumbs.
Then pull out all your teeth,
so you can't bite your tongue.
Only on this earth for a short time, time
So don't go outside, cause you don't want to die, die.
Just take our advice and hide
and scream YOLO to the sky.
Andy: You oughta look out.
This is gonna be so fire at the superbowl

Yes he did.
First Friday of The Month Y'all
(Cleveland Show reference)
Yes, and it's fairly sound advice. Traditional 401K contributions come from your gross income. Some companies match a percentage (they put in something for every dollar you put in). If you already have a 401K with your company that has enough in it, you can "borrow" up to half the total amount for a down payment on a house then pay "yourself" back with contributions from your paychecks. Those come out of your net pay, though. It may be most feasible to save the down in a savings or low-risk investment account. Socking away net earnings, even a little at a time, adds up. Having a house also gives you tax breaks. Real estate -can- be a good investment, depending on the climate of the market where you buy geographically and depending on the percentage of appreciation per year in a given area. Sometimes it gets hot in a single area quickly so you need to be ready to act. Having the down payment ready for the right moment is the best possible thing you can do, and sometimes saving the down payment is the hardest, but I promise it's worth it. Once you've got money for down, earnest, and inspection, there is almost nothing stopping you, provided you have good credit and a dependable income / job. It's very feasible to live in a property, fix it up while you're there, then sell at a profit, while you continue to contribute to a 401K. Always go for the conventional loan. Always, even if it hurts at first. I realize some of us are already struggling financially; I was for quite a while, but pennies and dollars over time really do add up. If you're more adventurous and willing to take the risk, you can acquire multiple properties, but you may need to draw up a business plan and show prospective lenders that you'll make a profit, or you may need to show them that you've done this before on a smaller scale. (They need to know that they'll get their money back and that you're not a risk.) The key is to start SOMEWHERE then BUILD from there. If your credit sucks, start by building it back up. There are lots of ways to start doing this. Research it. Then when you can, start small with something you can afford in an area that's desirable. Pick a house with solid bones, built in the 1970s or 1980s, or later, which is only in need of cosmetic renovations. 1970s tract homes are very solid in some areas, but they're time capsules. The one I bought had green and orange shag carpet. Gugh! But it was all replaceable. :) Be careful about where you buy and what you can afford, realistically. Do whatever it takes. Rent out your couch. Rent out your spare room. Rent out your basement. Take odd jobs. Save all the cash you can. Then just GO for it. If you can borrow the remaining amount (after down, earnest, and inspection fees are paid) based on your monthly income, you can very likely "afford" a house. I swear, if I did it, anyone can do it. (Or you can write a hit rap song, but ya know that takes work too. ;-D )
Naiya Cominos Not sure if you're trolling or serious.
This song is basically the anthem of today’a world

+Jack Ding In a comedic way, yeah
In what way? How Much A Dollar Cost is(basically)about how Kendrick meets a homeless man and selfishly does not give him even a single dollar because he believes he is just some crackhead, yet this homeless man turns out to be God, and he tells Kendrick he has lost his spot in heaven for just one dollar. This then leads Kendrick to question the worth of a single dollar. Again, that's a really simple and summed up version, but I still do not see how it relates whatsoever to his verse on this song, which tells people to invest in their future basically. I guess one could connect it to the fact that there is a homeless man in How Much A Dollar Cost, as some people are homeless because of their own bad life decisions, but in no way does that break down the whole song.
+Sassy Sasquatch I think the original commenter wasnt talking about the song, but the actual worth of a dollar, and how it's funny that he releases a song about that 2 years later
