I've never been, but my two friends who are very passionate travelers rank Vietnam at the top of their lists of best countries to visit and explore. I love the perspective you give as you travel by motorbike.
I can see why they would say they, it is an incredible place to ride and explore. It's great to hear you enjoyed the first episode, I hope you enjoy the rest of the series.
How could I not make it to Vietnam your home. It is such a fun place to ride and explore, the scenery is stunning, the people are amazing, so is the food. I hope you enjoy the series.
Thank you for the support mate, it is greatly appreciated and with out it I would not have been able to continue on from the Himalayas and do this Vietnam series. This will definitely help keep me one the road doing more. I hope you enjoy the series.
@ I watch a lot of the motocycle Adventure Videos, but the quality of your storytelling and visuell edeting is surely the best! Keep on going and Ride Save!
As always thank you for the continued support Frank, it's the only way I can keep making these series with out having to stop for months to save up. Vietnam is a fun place to ride, the scenery is stunning, the people are amazing so is the food. I hope you enjoy the series.
Way to go Joe. Who would have thought this your next port of call. Nice choice. What a stunning country she is,the geography, culture, food and beautiful people they are. Huge typhoon caused terrible flooding and the wind terrible destruction 3-4 months ago, hence the flooded land. Wait till you get to Saigon, the amount of motorcycles is staggering 😂especially in rush hour. Your eye is certainly detailed in capturing the finer elements surrounding you ✨ A joy to watch 🫡
I saw an opportunity and had to take it. This is from a few months back following on form the Himalayas (it take me up to a week to edit each one that is why they are not as it happens). The landscapes, the people the food, history it all really good. I hope you enjoy the series
Hi Joe, thanks for sharing another adventure. I was quite surprised to see this video. I’m so pleased for you that Royal Enfield are sticking with you and helping you out. The new Joe Ryan slogan - I’m on my way but don’t know where I’m going!! The scenery is spectacular already, I’m guessing it only gets better. Keep up the great work Joe 👍🇦🇺
Thank you for the support Kent, it is greatly appreciated. Yes Royal Enfield support with bike is a massive help, without them I would not be able to do these journeys. haha yes Ming nailed it. I hope you enjoy the series.
Yes I don't think anything will top the Himalayas, but there are so many other interesting places out there to explore. I hope you enjoy the new series
I'm Indian and have ridden in the himalayan mountains extensively and I make a yearly trip to the mountains again and again. It's just magical and nothing compares to it. There are tons of other beautiful places in india but the himalayan mountains are just epic on a different level.
Your production quality is getting insane, the intro for this video was BBC quality. This video coincided with a big day for me, I bought my first bike today. And I was inspired to do so in no small part because of your videos, especially your NZ series (I'm from NZ and you made me realize I need to explore my own country). Thanks for the awesome videos dude.
Epic NEW BIKE DAY, nothing better. You have so much to explore, I barely scratched the surface when I was there, in not time you'll be discovering way more places than I did, super cool to hear. I hope you enjoy the series.
You have that right it an amazing country to ride and explore, it great to know you enjoyed the first episode I hope you enjoy the rest of the series, thanks for watching
I do travel through the old DMZ later on and some of the left over stuff from then. It is an incredible place to ride and explore, also the people are very friendly warm and kind.
Brilliant Joe. I was lucky enough to visit Hanoi a dozen times over about 10 years when I worked in Asia, but never visited the country as a tourist/traveller. Hanoi remains my favourite city in Asia... and I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the country through your lens. In my opinion, you couldn't have picked a better "next" destination. Happy New Year!
Thank you for the support mate, it is greatly appreciated, and it is this kind of support which meant I could add on the Vietnam journey and not have to wait for a few months before doing the next one. Your support will help with the next one, as always thanks for watching.
Thank you for the welcome, it is an amazing country, such a fun place to ride and explore, the scenery is stunning, the people are amazing, so is the food. I hope you enjoy the series.
Hi Joe, am thrilled you are off on another adventure so soon. India was epic and Vietnam looks great too. So impressed by all your Enfield rides that I bought one (Guerilla 450) this week - so determined to do some travel around Oz.
Awesome Joe, I actually had a premonition you may try Vietnam, it's a great country to motorbike around that's for sure, I have not been in Vietnam since 2000, so its advanced heaps since then ..... looking forward to this series ..... cheers ..... 🦘🦘🦘
Thanks for your great work Joe. Watching your Himalayan Adventure helped me in deciding to buy a Royal Enfield Himalayan too. Can't wait for my next adventure with it. Keep up the great work!
Thank you for the support Nicolas, it is greatly appreciated, the only reason I could add on this Vietnam journey to the Himalayan journey was from the support of people like you. New bike! how epic, I hope you're having fun exploring out there.
Fantastic ! Looking forward to this . Love it out there , have done a few trips . It is a mixture of first and third world with a fascinating history . Love the people . The North very spiritual the ride from Hanoi to HCM beautiful . You do this so well
Incredibly well done Joe! I really enjoyed your inspiring Himalayan series and now this one in Vietnam (a place i havent been to but will at some point). Will you be doing a review on the Scram too? Ride on and keep safe.
Thank you for the support Jason, again it is greatly appreciated, with out support like this I would not have been able to add on this journey to Vietnam (it would have been months before the next series). I hope you enjoy the rest of the series.
Ha! I guessed Vietnam would be your next trip. I have ridden there a few times including a big trip from HCMC to Hanoi via all the back roads a couple of years ago. It is a wonderful destination for touring on a motorcycle or scooter.
Good guessing. Yes I get to explore the length of the country, it is a great place to ride, very easy, people are really friendly and help full. It actually the place I would suggest to go first if people have never ridden overseas before and are a bit unsure. I hope you enjoy the new series
@@freewayproject Yes I agree, that is what I did. A few smaller trips on semi auto scooters in Thailand and the Philippines but my first big trip on a proper motorbike after I got my licence was Vietnam on a Honda XR150L. I had an absolutely fantastic time. Vietnam is gorgeous and fascinating and the people are very hospitable to tourists which makes it an easy and very safe place to travel. Definitely looking forward to the series as I am sure I will recognise some of the roads you ride so it will be a happy bit of nostalgia for me. Also looking forward to seeing bits I haven't been to as well for inspiration for a future trip.
Thanks mate, Vietnam is such a fun place to ride and explore, the scenery is stunning, the people are amazing, so is the food. I hope you enjoy the series.
Such a beautiful video, to be honest, I have a bit shame when watching video to see foreigner can explore my own country, but at the same time I also proud to see people excited about Viet Nam. This video definitely inspire me to have more trip with my bike. Thank you

Another epic video! Thanks for taking us on the ride! My wife rode vietnam solo 20 years ago(before we met) her photos are amazing…super bucketlist trip!
Thanks mate, it's great to hear you enjoyed the episode. It would have been super cool riding through here 20 years ago, would have been even more laid back in the country areas. I hope to be able to ride through Japan in the future, I have spent 5 winter in the mountains, absolutely love the place and people. I hope you enjoy the rest of the series.
@ Sweet, yeah Japan is a very cool place for sure. Hit me up if you get out this way! Just started a channel to document riding Japan…would be epic to share a few adventures. Can’t wait for more vids…subbed 😎
My dad was in Vietnam during the war. Medivac. He told me about some of his experiences, but I don't recall him telling me what it looked like. Seeing such beautiful scenery, it makes me wonder if he was ever able to just enjoy the view. It's much prettier than I imagined. I'm really looking forward to this series.
Vietnam does have some unique and stunningly beautiful places. Where the main front of the war was is in the middle of the country and is very thick thick jungle. I hope you enjoy the series.
Thank you for the support, it is greatly appreciated and will help make the series (and help pay off the local police so I can continue the ride). I hope you enjoy the series.
I saw an opportunity and had to take it, Vietnam is a fun place to ride and explore, the scenery is stunning, the people are amazing, so is the food. I hope you enjoy the series
I was looking forward to the start of a new series. This time I'm in Vietnam, and I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of trip it will be. Please be careful and have a good trip.
Lovely surprise to see a new series so soon. I just had a big loop around the north last month on a Honda Wave, but stayed on sealed roads. Awesome scenery. I think you have headed north, if you get the chance, go slightly SW of Hanoi towards the Laos border, Pu Luong area is really pretty.
I did this 6 years ago, it was the coolest thing I've done. I went from saigon to hanoi. In 2 weeks I'm going to the Dominican Republic and will do the same thing
It has been on my list of places I want to visit for a long time, Vietnam is such a fun place to ride and explore, the scenery is stunning, the people are amazing, so is the food. I hope you enjoy the series.
No pharken way... are you off again impressing us with not only your bravery, but your ability to capture incredible images of this world. Joe, Vietnam, this episode will be INCREDIBLE!!... Had to edit the comment.... phark, phark, phark.... I want to binge and see the lot all at once. You are the Man!
Joe, you’re treating us to an early Christmas present……this is impeccable timing as I am considering both Vietnam and Thailand next year for a motorcycle tour…….Himalaya’s are on the list as well and after seeing your last series it’s going to be a tough call. Great to see you back and looking forward to seeing what’s next.
They are all great places to ride and explore on a motorbike Marko, I nearly did Thailand this time but will get there in the future. I hope you enjoy the new series.
Hey Joe, I’ve been following your Himalayan adventures with great interest planning to go there next summer! I’m really excited to see what’s next in this new series. I hope you had an amazing time in Vietnam-as I’ve had on two wheels for almost 20 years now, despite the challenges posed by typhoon Yagi and its aftermath. Looking forward to your next update!
You'll have an amazing time it the Himalayas.Vietnam is a fun place to ride and explore, the people are amazing and the food is so good. I hope you enjoy the series

@freewayproject Looking forward to the rest of these Vietnam vlogs. You're getting strong viewership right off the bat on this first one - good for you! Vietnam is such a rich pastiche of color and flavor. Hope to get there someday myself. In the meantime, I'll just have to sit back and enjoy your videos.
WOW...what a place to ride...the green is really green.....if the rest is half as beautiful...it will be spectacular......looking forward for another epic adventure....thanks for bringing me along. Garth
Yes a change from the high deserts in the Himalayas, Vietnam is such a fun place to ride and explore, the scenery is stunning, the people are amazing, so is the food. I hope you enjoy the series Garth.
I think you present your videos SO well. It is hard to believe you do this all on your own, - it is SO good. Very entertaining, so much so, I am always wanting the next video ASAP ! I think your content is also spot on. It is nice seeing the "real" people of the countries you travel in and also not not just the tourist areas. Be careful on those bloody dangerous roads. Safe travels. From NZ. PS - I would be checking the tappets on that motor !! It does not sound too healthy !
It's great to hear you have enjoyed the previous series and I hope you enjoy the new series. Yes I am not one for the main tourist areas, I find the more remote places more interesting, so that is where I try to explore even if I have to start in the cities.
It is an amazing place to ride, I do get down to HCM in this series and back up. It's great to hear you enjoyed the episode, I hope you enjoy the rest of the series.
Thanks Ali, Vietnam is such a fun place to ride and explore, the scenery is stunning, the people are amazing, so is the food. I hope you enjoy the series.

Great to see the man back in action! It's already looking epic. Vietnam, must be hard for an Aussie to go through Vietnam without thinking about the old Redgum song, 'Only 19'.. "and Frankie kicked a mine the day that Mankind kicked the Moon", its already in my head;-))
It's great o be back. Vietnam is such a fun place to ride and explore, the scenery is stunning, the people are amazing, so is the food. I do go through the DMZ and to another very famous Australia song reference. I hope you enjoy the series.
It would be almost impossible to top the Himalayas but there are still a lot of interesting places out there to explore, I hope you enjoy the new series
