    Damn this was impressive as always Arvids. Absolutely love your storytelling style and impressive footage. 🙏🏻 you should adjust your duckin of the music, it is a little bit to fast and harsh compared to the VoiceOver and nice smooth speed of the story and footage. 🙌🏻 Damn this route is high up on my to do list for the upcoming years. Holy crap I miss the alps! Keep up the great work mate. This is absolutely highest level of motorcycle roadtrips and storytelling. 🎥

    My friend, awesome. As someone who travels solo a lot I was truly inspired with your video. The last two summers I’ve done 5 weeks travel Europe. I’d love to know your route and the off-road bits that I’d avoid given I do mine on a Ducati Diavel, which is hardly a touring bike but you know that phrase, Mad Englishmen…. Awesome video.

    Amazing production level! Also you are probably among the very few people who actually do ADV with adv bikes. I ve only used mine on the road. I would like to try some gravel roads one day, but im afraid to drop the bike.

    • @EaglewoodADV
      @EaglewoodADV  15 днів тому

      Dropping the bike is inevitable. As soon as you come to terms with it (the 1st time might hurt though), you’re never going back. Road biking is so limiting and I’d say even boring!

    • @ccclll987
      @ccclll987 15 днів тому

      @@EaglewoodADV you're right, but I have a guzzi v85, and I would be very very very sad to drop and damage a bike like that. If I had a tenerè I would be less worried, but with a guzzi it's different. You buy because of the look and feel. However, I believe that i could do some easy gravel roads without worrying too much about damaging it.

    • @EaglewoodADV
      @EaglewoodADV  15 днів тому

      @ccclll987 then it’s a street bike. An adv bike by definition has to be dropable. Even just riding on gravel you’ll get chips on paint, exhaust etc. from flying rocks and there goes your precious design piece. I’d say get a dedicated bike that you’ll not be afraid to drop. That’s the only way to enjoy beyond tarmac. Even if you don’t drop the stress will ruin it.

    • @ccclll987
      @ccclll987 15 днів тому

      @@EaglewoodADV that's the point, the bike itself would be able to handle offroad, but because I dont want to damage it, i d rather not use it offroad. On YT there is a video of a guy that goes offroad with it and also goes quite fast. In any case, for the future the best solution would be to do what you suggest, maybe get a second, smaller bike to just do offroad. My guzzi has a heavy retro styled air cooled 850cc engine and the bike weights about 230kg. if I really wanted to do offroad it would probably be better to buy something smaller and with a more modern engine. Guzzi are technically capable of going offroad, but even the guys making them hope you dont actually take them offroad XD

    Really beautiful use of the drone shots in the beginning, the Dolomites are pretty damn awesome, I did slightly dizzy from the 360 camera though 🤣 Nicely done, damn a lot of those roads would have been epic if not for all that tarmac, damn the taxes that paid for it 😅 Looking forward to the next one. Finally got around to starting this new series tonight... and it didn't disappoint. All those chickens... I saw Thomas' comment about the auto-ducking on the audio. There's a button for that in Resolve? Ha, really audio engineers set up a side-chained compressor!

    • @EaglewoodADV
      @EaglewoodADV  11 днів тому

      Thanks! Yep, there’s a new button for lazy people like me :) It’s just that the duck and release times are max 1000ms now which is too little. Hope they fix this, I realy like these features that make life easier.

    • @ReelRidersPodcast
      @ReelRidersPodcast 11 днів тому +1

      @@EaglewoodADV Back in the day (in the '80s) I remember manually calculating the compressor attack and release times for recording a gated snare drum.... These days it's done with the push of a button in SW. You kids have it so easy...... Enjoy and be thankful.

    Arvids, I love this so much. No idea why I didn't find your channel sooner. Absolutely stunning cinematography. I particularly love how intentional your drone shots are, none of that "just have it follow you around" overused bs.
    May I please be forgiven for asking a nasty question: are you using commercially available luts or something custom?

    • @EaglewoodADV
      @EaglewoodADV  20 днів тому

      Thank you for the kind words! Warms my heart each time people notice the filmmaking intentions. I use camera-specific color transforms (in Resolve) to get from log to rec709 and then add a bit of built-in Kodak 2382 at something like 30% But still need to do some custom work, not only to fix exposures, but because all these cameras have so different colors, even two different model GoPros have different colors. I'm looking forward to the day when I'll be able to have all my cameras shoot in usable log.
