I have every thing to make this! so guess what I'm making for Christmas and thanksgiving for the fourth time!! this Turns out just like the photos and Is super yummy too! 100 out of 10 definitely recommend!!🤩🤩😋😋💯❤💌
Thank you for sharing this recipe with me! I made it and it was delicious! I’ve also used Nutella to fill it in replace of the cinnamon and sugar. Both are really lovely ♥️
I love your channel. I will usually look to you first when I am trying to find a recipe. I have a request. At the end of what ever you are making can you add how to best store and how long it will typically keep? I find most recipes lack this. For instance I just recently on my own discovered shortbread gets better a few days later… this kind of information would be so helpful!
I’m so glad I found this video. I’m wanting to tackle star bread for a baking challenge, but they look so complex. You made this look like something I think I can actually do. I can’t wait to try this! Thank you so much!
I make your galette recipe and love it. Just made a pear one this weekend. However, I'm not good at rolling out dough. I do what you say but as much as I would like to make this, it's a challenge for me because of the rolling. Maybe I'll work up enough courage to do it one day! Lovely to watch. It's very impressive.
Thank you so much! I'm really bad at rolling out dough too! Ugh circles become amoebas really really fast. My husband always makes fun of me then comes over and rolls out a perfect circle. 😂😂
After making your pizza and bread recipes I’ve become more confident on making bread, usually it intimidates me but thankfully all of your recipes have turned out amazing especially bread or recipes that use yeast, so ty! I’ll definitely give this one a try
Hopefully my new Stand Mixer will be able to tackle this. I have a tilt head but maybe I should consider adding a bowl lift model to use alongside with.
That looks amazing. I've done plenty of bread baking and I've occasionally experimented with folded puff pastry. But I've never done anything like this. I'll have to give this a try :)
This looks so beautiful! The only day I have time to make it is Wednesday, how should I store it for Christmas morning? Freeze it? Keep in fridge? Counter? Or will that be too far ahead ?
You could also prepare the dough the night before and put it in the fridge to rise over night. It could over proove (rise) a bit but make it a late as you can. Then you can finish the remaining steps in the morning! (I have done this before and it turns out with my bread, the refrigerator shows down the rise considerably. Just another idea, I don't mean to intrude)
No intrusion here. We welcome other feedback. 😊 I haven’t tried it myself so I’m hesitant to make a recommendation. It’s great to hear that it does work. 😊
Can the dough (or even the bread) be made ahead of time and frozen? Also how do you store the bread once it's baked how long will it stay good? I'm asking because I'd like to make a few of these for friends for Christmas and I don't want it to be stale by the tie I can give it to them. Thank you in advance.
You can store it for up to 4 days in an airtight container at room temperature after baked. You can also freeze the baked star bread for several months.
This look amazing! Definitely gonna try this trick with a few other desserts :) hey also Sam, what’s your opinion on brown butter? Do you think it tastes better in treats then normal melted, say in something like a butterscotch dessert?
Yes! If you do, combine it with the sugar, salt, and half the flour then add the warmed milk/water and stir well. Then proceed with the recipe, stirring in butter, eggs, and remaining flour as needed. You can store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days. Enjoy! 😊
I know this video is older, but if you haven’t tried it yet try this with cream cheese and a raspberry jam…it’s to die for. Put the cream cheese layer between the jam layers
If you refrigerate the dough after dividing it will work better.
That sounds like a good idea.

@@SugarSpunRun You are lucky!
It’s so annoying! I try so hard then he just comes over and doesn’t even give it any effort and boom perfect circle!
Beautiful! Maybe a light drizzle with cinnamon glaze. This would be just right for Christmas morning.
Awesome bread

I have used your recipe and made it several times with rave reviews from my grands !
I'm so glad it has been such a hit! :)

Hopefully it holds up. My kitchenaids do pretty well. They will start to struggle a little bit towards the end but they get the job done. :)

That's absolutely beautiful :)
Looks good
It's just as tasty as it looks!
This looks so beautiful! The only day I have time to make it is Wednesday, how should I store it for Christmas morning? Freeze it? Keep in fridge? Counter? Or will that be too far ahead ?
After it is baked it can be stored at room temperature for several days. Just be sure to wrap it up tightly so it doesn't dry out. :)

Can you fridge this after the second rise then bake in the morning?

How many inches across is this baked bread? I would like to make them for gifts .
I believe that sheet pan I bake it on is 12 inches wide. :)
@@SugarSpunRun Thank you!
Would this work with puff pastry I wonder
I imagine the technique would work. Your final product is going to be a lot different though. :)
Can I substitute whole milk for almond milk or soy milk for this recipe? Thanks!
I haven't tried it but I think it should work. ☺️
This look amazing! Definitely gonna try this trick with a few other desserts :) hey also Sam, what’s your opinion on brown butter? Do you think it tastes better in treats then normal melted, say in something like a butterscotch dessert?
I think everything tastes better with brown butter. :)
Not having a “dough mixer” any suggestions?
You can do it by hand. In the description I talk about how you can do it by hand. :)
Hi there Sugar Spun Run! This has nothing to do with bread, but do you have a recipe for cream puffs!
I do! ua-cam.com/video/u4pxf32q62Y/v-deo.html
@@SugarSpunRun Thank you! 😊
Is it okay to use instant yeast? Also does this store well?
Yes! If you do, combine it with the sugar, salt, and half the flour then add the warmed milk/water and stir well. Then proceed with the recipe, stirring in butter, eggs, and remaining flour as needed. You can store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days. Enjoy! 😊

Sooooo good! 😊
Omgosh-too pretty to eat!!😂I’m definitely gonna attempt to make this!😍🤪
I hope you love it! 😊😊
I feel sorry for the blue standing mixer. Promise next recipe you’ll be using that one. It’s just not fair.
😂😂 I'll have to see how it behaves.
I dip mine in nutella 🤣
Yum!!
