I have a process haha. Calls, texts, data tests, reliability, I take them to buildings all over, inside, driving, outside, and other things. I try to be as thorough as possible :). Mudita Pure is coming soon!
So happy I found your channel! I just got back from trying to downgrade at Verizon and they only had two flip phones to choose from and their pricing was off by about $80 from what I researched online since returning.
Did some reading - The "Mocor" software on the AGM M6 is also based on ThreadX, same as Nokia 110 4G. Menu layouts, system functions, right down to the keypress tone, the 110 4G and the M6 are functionally the same system. 110 4G has some ease of use & visual improvements - otherwise they're hard to split.
I have looked at most of your reviews. There is one function on the phone I have that does not work well. That is I can't feel the vibration mode in my pocket so I miss calls. That is one thing I wish reviewers would add to their reviews.. thanks
I really did think that the 110 4G had S30+... Dang, thanks for clearing that up. So are there any devices left that fit that bill, or is S30+ just not available anywhere?

I think it's very strange that these phones don't support USB tethering. ThreadX has a USB stack and a TCP/IP stack. It can run Opera mini but it can't tether. I wish Nokia would allow flashing ROMs, maybe then people could figure something out.
@Soids Dempsey No tethering. I usually include it, but if I don’t mention it its because the phone does not have it. It’s on the database and on the dumbphone finder tool :)
S30+ does not neccessary support Java apps, for example Nokia 222 outside of Vietnam. Most of these support MAUI Runtime Environment (MRE, .vxp extension), though.

Nokia's manual is woeful. It doesn't explain what you need to press so you can use the keypad to input a number you want to call that isn't in Contacts. Also, I don't need internet because I have it on my computer. I bought this phone because it had buttons, not touch screen and because it had mms, so that I could receive larger smart phone, android etc. photos. No one explains how to set the mms on the phone so it receives Multimedia photos. After being told it can't be done, I finally found how to permanently unlock this phone. Just turn Automatic lock 'off'. Hope you can help with the calling and mms.
@@JoseBriones If you look up Nokia 110 4g 2023 on the net, you'll see it does have mms and I can testify to that. I got onto Optus and they turned it on for me. I didn't know they had to do it. I thought it was one of the mms options mentioned in the menu but I didn't know which one to choose. MMS is the reason I bought this phone, so I could receive the larger pictures from Smart phones and Android phones etc. Now I can receive the photos. This phone has buttons, not touch screen. I haven't found a mode that will let me input a number on the keypad except in Contacts. All other phones I've had, just let you do it in 'home' mode but this won't.

That's why I bought it last week, so I could receive the large photos sent from Smart and Android phones. I didn't know it had to be turned on by my provider (Optus). Now it is working. Before a message came up '...failed'. If anyone knows how to magnify these photos, it would be good to know. I can't read the writing on some of them. I still haven't found a way to dial a number without using Contacts. Other phones I've had you just input from home page but this doesn't work on this phone. Nothing happens when you press the keypad.
I tried 2720 flip...that phone was a disaster-couldnt even rely on the alarm clock because the time would freeze when the screen is off,so the alarm will ring when you wake up the device,hours later XD
Very interesting video. This phone seems to be exactly what I need for a two-week trip to Texas from the UK. My own phone, a Moto G(8) is apparently not compatible with US networks. So, if I purchased one of these phones presumably all I would then need is a pre-paid SIM for it fro T-Mobile? How does that work exactly? I am not well up on this technology.

You said (4:20) you can "read out pdfs", I cannot find how to read pdf files on this phone. No mention of it in the User Guide, . Is it possible, and if so, how do you do it? What folder do you put them in, and how do you read them?

T-Mobile tells me the Kyocera Rally that I have been using for years (and has worked very well for my needs) will no longer work due to ending of 3G. The Nokia 110 4G and 105 4G are the closest I've found for a replacement of the Kyocera that are priced for my nonprofit organization's budget. But I see in the comments that the 110 does not have Bluetooth. I'd really like to have that so I can connect my mobile phone to the phone system in my organization's Nissan Altima. What would you recommend that would be comparable to the Nokia 110 or 105 in size and weight but that would have Bluetooth functionality? With thanks for your service, David Best
I believe you’ll need a Nokia 225 4G for the Bluetooth functionality. But even then your car needs to recognize the phone and sometimes that doesn’t work, but in theory the 225 4G should work.

Great video. I think there is some confusion between S30+ which came out around 2013 when Microsoft owned the Nokia phone division and S30 which Nokia developed around 2003. Two totally different OS but similarly named. I think the lack of Java is more to do with the chipsets now used. IMHO

Yes!!! I haven’t been able to due to scheduling and because I’m moving, but I will make the video for sure. Essentially, don’t buy devices that are not updated and supported. Check the database or the Dumbphone finder to learn more. I’ll make a column that deals with privacy concerns :)

As I said before, I need to transition more slowly than most. I have just looked on a UK website and an American website to compare the Nokia 225 4G on both. The American website specifies "LTE Bands - 2,3,4,5,7,12,13,17,20", the UK website specifies "GSM 900/1800 )Dual Band)". I am more confused than ever!
I had the 105 4g it was bad after a week I charged switched on and was presented with a blue screen with the words couldn't find install file or something thing is dead!

Hey I got this phone new and got it to work but the battery drops significantly on standby overnight and seems to be done with only a day or 2 of use any comment?
This Nokia is $40 with Camera. And people say paying 300 for the bare-bones Jurassic light phone 2 is better🤦🏼♂️. Dont get me wrong, i like it and people do need to get off their smartphones (even if its just a week) but $300 for a massive downgrade of a side-phone is just nuts.
It really depends on your needs tbh. I love that my light phone has podcasts, music, and maps. It also has hotspot, text messaging (group text included), and it works with Verizon. It is all about your needs and what your appreciate. I love that there are options and that people can choose :) Until you see the support, community, and features of the phones, you don’t realize what you miss. But again, options are always good 👍🏻
Does someone know how I can search my contacts by their beginletter? When I search for a contact on the Nokia 110 4G, let's say a name that starts with the letter T. When I type the letter T, it doesn't show me the names that start with a T, but it shows me áll the names that have a T in them 😪🥲. Really frustrating!
Because Nokia is calling S 30+ it’s own system but it is based on thread X S 30+ used to be a Symbian-based OS but this one is not and it’s based on thread X

Nokia 110 is an utter rubbish. The Mini Opera browser is a total failure: It is so primitive it would not display captcha. But when you want to open your email or any other webpage where you need to enter your login or password, you are asked first of all, are you human or a robot? From this point, there is no way to log on because this bloody captcha is not displayed by this bloody mini opera browser, and there is no chance to install another browser. This renders the Internet access on this phone completely out of use.

Not anymore. The only one that has reliable driving maps for T-mobile is the CAT S22 Flip.

You can import contacts via SD Card. No automatic syncing online

You can import contacts by Bluetooth from another phone. You can't sync contacts with Google.

Type the number on the Home Screen and then press call. There are no MMS on this phone.

True S30+ allows for installation of jar files. This new "S30+" is not based out of the old architecture, but rather based out of a OS called ThreadX

I am not 100% sure. Check the bands (should be listed on the website). If the bands are the same for both US and UK phones it doesn’t matter.

Nokia 110 is an utter rubbish. The Mini Opera browser is a total failure: It is so primitive it would not display captcha. But when you want to open your email or any other webpage where you need to enter your login or password, you are asked first of all, are you human or a robot? From this point, there is no way to log on because this bloody captcha is not displayed by this bloody mini opera browser, and there is no chance to install another browser. This renders the Internet access on this phone completely out of use.
