How do you like the styling and interior? Jeff
Thanks for the video 🍀
Thank you. This is helpful.
Are you planning to do a button review for rav 4 2023 limited any time soon? That would be so cool!
Got mine 3 weeks ago and I love it. There are some bugs / issues with Carplay that Toyota is looking into that should be worked out this year.
I’m seeing a lot of reports that the range is much worse than what Toyota advertises. Have you found that to be true?
@@studiodsr depends where you live. In my case the ev range is the same as Toyota advertised here in California.
This is the Washington Auto Show, I was there yesterday
Where is the spare tire located?
You can already see all the smudges on the gloss black. That would drive me bananas.
Jeff, I have not seen one on the road yet. Is it closer in size to the RAV4 or Corolla Cross? 🤔
RAV4
Hello, I have test driven the BZ4X twice so far. Everything is great about the car. But the consumption is very high and the battery runs out very quickly. As you have a good contact with Toyota Germany I would like to ask you to forward this feedback so that an update can be made to the cars and this problem has been fixed.
What was the consumption rate (and heater setting)?
He’s not reading this
Horrible charging curve makes it slow charging on road trip. Good for city driving only
Wow. That’s interesting! Definitely an eyecatcher
I’ve always loved Toyotas and the Toyota bz4x and the Subaru Solterra are almost identical but I’m drawn to the Solterra. The move to EV’s is going to be very interesting.
How much is wait time on this vehicle? is it easily available in USA?
Inventory is limited to the coasts still.
@@john1701a I don't even see the model on toyota website anymore. not sure if they are still selling it.
Why this car does not has power for the front passenger seat? For the price $40k car?
There's still plastic on the roof?
Better than MX30 but thats it
I like the BZ4X but it doesn't have many cool features like the Mirai. The Mirai even has ambient cup holders I think.
What do you mean ambient
something i been wondering about these new EV's, are the electrical systems isolated? and well? just wondering if it'd be worth installing my ham and scanner equipment in one of these, or would i be dealing with a ton of interference and electrical hum?
it looks cool. can't wait to see how it competes with tesla
There IS no competition. Absolute joke to have 134 miles of range with a $42k price tag. Battery the size of a regular engine; no frunk. And then I almost died laughing when I saw the manual pump passenger seat... on a $42k ALL ELECTRIC vehicle 🤣🤣
Yup no competition, but other brands catching up real fast, Teslas soon will be lowering their prices in not far future
If there was a solid color option it would be great. Also, Toyota dropped the ball on the launch of this one, frankly. With the wheel loosening issue, and the long charge speed for starters. They have the resources and know-how to go beyond what Tesla or Rivian are doing, yet they seem to hold back, unfortunately, because of vested interests. 🤷🏻♀️
There's no profit in building BEVs (except for Tesla). Just big losses. And Toyota would rather use the resources on hybrids that are now more in demand in their major markets.
I would go neither
I am glad I got the 2023 4Runner: Look’s like they’ll probably update that one for 2025 and it will look like a toy car kids play with. Not a fan with these futuristic looks
Is this made by Toyota or Subaru?
Toyota.
My honest opinion, this could be one of the ugliest cars I’ve seen in years. And the interior, well, looks again are a matter of opinion, but, man, my friends 4th grader could possibly do better. And, no I’m not a Toyota hater, I actually own a new RAV4.
I’ll take a hard pass on this mess.
I own a 2020 v6 Camry and it far whips the bz4x in just about every single way
Until the day that you can charge within 5 mins and gets 100km for EVs. It will never become mainstream. People only goes for "Convenience" ! Always ! That's human nature.
They’re real behind on tech and poor charging. In fact Toyota is rethinking its BEV direction and dedicated EV platform.
Actually, their tech (the EV propulsion system) is very well refined. Slower charging due to not offering pre-conditioning yet (it is on the way) isn't any different than what other automakers did with their initial rollouts. Toyota is looking into accelerating their BEV schedule, which is not a rethink of direction.
@@john1701a they are rethinking a dedicated EV platform which they did not start with.
@@StormBringer- 4X is their first dedicated platform. Jumping to the next stage (a departure from the current production process) is the rethink... accelerating the time table.
If you want to reduce your carbon foot print..we need to stop making products that will live in landfills forever
No EV tax credits. 👎
Unless you’re the most extreme Toyo’s fanboy there is literally zero reason to even look at this. Nobody was impressed with this ev at all. It even fails when compared against Toyota own rav4 prime.
There have been quite a number of reviews that praised its off-road abilities and quality of the drive, including some from RAV4 Prime owners.
Toyota should not have made this stock to hybrids and hydrogen batteries are short term solution plus they create so much industrial waste that extends to environment and dealership lots (teslas).
That dash ... extremely underwhelming
Oh what like your face
@@marcuswebb6714 yes, reminds me of your mother's
the first is going worst
I like the seats - that's about it. There's no reason for electric cars to be this ugly.
LOL nice try Toyota but the bZ4X is no where near even the Mustang Mach-E. Forget about Tesla....its is not even close. No glovebox, very poor DC charging curve, lack of frunk, cargo space is meh. I can't believe for a $44K car that there are manual adjustment seats. Toyota needs to do a better job of scouting the competition when it comes to EVs. I would buy the Chevy Bolt over this overpriced bZ4X car.
It's no good
😂
toyota ev? bahahahahaha
Maybe the second toyota EV will be good.
It's in China only, the bZ3. The next one for the USA may be the bZ3X or bZ5, not sure.
$40+ Thousand dollars cars and seat adjustment is all manual. Japanese is so stingy. I would pass.
