- Let's Play Starfield - Ep 27: Déjà Vu
Hey, everyone, welcome to my Starfield let's play! This is a casual playthrough of the game, where I take my time and learn and explore.
In this episode: We search for Andreja again, and end up visiting a very familiar mine.

To rename your ship:
1. Open the ship builder
2. Go to flight check
3. Rename the ship
1. Yes, you can loot mines. Ignore the fact the red marker. Just be quick about it.
2. Toolgrip weapons are the mining laser/cutter, autorivets, and the arc welder.
You picked up a Maelstrom with a whitehot rounds mod. That was what was setting you on fire all the time. It's a terrific weapon.
"This game is so unimmersive...." I become more immersed when I ignore companions and the main quest and set my own agenda using game systems to do long-term tasks like surveying, or weapon modding, or ship-building, or gathering resources. These tasks require leveling perks and researching in particular ways. It's a tactical kind of playing as I try to make myself more capable in this galaxy independent of all the Constellation yammering. I can get lost playing this way, but when I play after watching a variety of YT let's plays I have a sense of community and gain knowledge about game dynamics, such as selling books for several thousand credits each at Sinclair's in Akila City and I can build and grind and play more effectively. It's not the game teaching me how to play this way, as much as YT'ers. In the process I'm finding the game deep and beautiful, but only when enjoying this world on my terms. Skyrim's this way, too, but here Starfield seems to have excellent ingredients that are somewhat "undercooked."
I also find it more immersive when I turn on the setting to require food and water as I play. If I'm hungry or dehydrated, all my stats go down.
You can sell a ship without registering! Great tip!
Watching you play reminded me how much I miss this game. Currently, I'm digging into DA:2, which highlights how compelling the Starfield universe is.
All facilities with the same name have the same layout. So once you have seen one abandoned mine you have seen them all.
As a quick reminder, do not kill the NPCs outside of landed ships that you wish to commandeer.
Doing so will cause the ship to immediately take off.
Yeah I heard that in a video once, that's why I didn't attack the ones in this episode.
