Live in the us the 4.8s love boost they seem to accept boost with open arms the 5.3 does really great with boost too but the 4.8 can make 700hp crank with stock parts
This thing is nice. I'm a lover of small cubes and big boost. This thing would do great with medium sized twins and huge waste gates. That way you can run smaller rear housing and then it will smash early onto boost hard.....but where everyone thinks your turbos are going to choke the motor; that's when you open those crack those big gates a pinch and let some of that back pressure bleed off exhaust enough to keep spinning the turbos at peak boost, but not restricting the flow of exhaust! There's no need for huge rear housing that's an old myth that you need the flow to create big horsepower and lag is inevitable.,.... Wrong! Small housings and big gates for the win. You can use EGTs to become more precise or you can just build a 3D mapping a boost curve with peak boost being constant. Lastly electronically controlled waste gates are the best investment as guys in drag racing are already using CO² setup with bottle adding weight just to compensate for boost control. E gate gives you full control of boost. Make the gate aperture way way larger than you think and you are winning
speaking of small cubes a boosted coyote would crush this thing the 2 valve push rod motor just isnt effiecent and takes large cubic inch to really make power
My Barra makes 100rwkw more on pump E85.. Its great for weekend warriors. Also run flex fuel sensor incase we go for a big drive and get stuck needing to use 98, the car will remove timing according to the Ethanol content in the fuel
4.8 isn't a small engine and a g42 isn't exactly a small turbo either lol you smoking your souvos re? but I get it. Cool setup. I'd have put in far more comfortable seats lol

As an American it's hard to imagine a 4.8 being rare, I'd expect every junkyard in America has at least 10 of them. Good to see more boosted 4.8s!
