The Short Stop is right up there with the Scottish Resistance in terms of weapons that people underestimate, but really, REALLY shouldn't.
Scottish resistance is a bad sticky launcher but it turns out a bad sticky launcher is still REAL good. Unless it’s mvm then it’s just god tier
Pretty crazy just how far you can deal a lot of damage from with this combo.
I always remember old scout sniper (Shortstop , Fying Guillotine , Sandman)
Just replace sandman with wrap assassin and you get finally a subclass for scout, mid range menace.
Use cleaver and wrap from distance and when enemy flees you pepper them if they're alive

kinda random, but I was that medic that ubered you in that first clip and I genuinely thought you drank the regular bonk and were gonna do nothing until the latter half of that uber.
still funny how that's in the video nonetheless. (also, as a scout main, I'm going to have to play around this loadout myself, unironically seems pretty fun)

I hadn't played tf2 in a while and when I came back I tried a loadout like this (I used the atomizer though) and the shortstop quickly became my favorite scout weapon next to the regular scattergun.

One thing: the Wrap Assassin's bauble is a guaranteed crit if it travels in the air for more than 1 second. (moonshot)

Or as I like to call, that time where the scout accidently drink a jar filled with yellow juice expecting to be bonk. But something weird happen after that unfornate event, Scout suddently started hearing weird digeridos, coulnd't stop eating chicken with Vegimite that is now crossing through his veins and the worst of all Scout was slowly loosing his Boston accent and started to develop this weird accent that nobody in his team could even understand.
Medic tried to help the scout with this weird problem but scout faced medic and just said "Piss off wanker"
Now scout is going around shooting at long range with his "sniper rifle" as he calls it and gets "Headshots"!
If any scout is starting to behave like this pls contact the local Merc medical department.

Lol the wrap assassin does so little damage there wasn't even an assist listed (by anyone) for killing the sentry. I appreciate the commitment.

I don't know what is the most satisfying thing about this loadout : the amount of damage combined with a very good accuracy, or the sounds the Shortstop makes

God tier thumbnail and I love these videos that go against the grain you can find a lot of interesting fun niches and combos if you look hard enough in tf2 I've always felt like each weapon could be used interestingly the only thing that makes a weapon underwhelming is if the effect itself just doesn't have a lot of application. Thanks for shedding light here, I'll definitely have to try this out!

It's crazy watching you so long that I'm seeing your aim get better in real time. Some of those airshots you hit were crazy, like the pyro that got donked, or the pyro you JUGGLED with mini crits... poor pyro XD
I lowered my sensitivity recently and it feels more comfortable, so that probably has something to do with it
@@BrickiestBrick Oh hey, pretty cool! When I was newer at scout I'd set my sensitivity high to something like 3.3 or 3.2 because I see that all the pros are making super fast flicks and that's what I should be doing, but lowering my sensitivity to 2.8-2.9 helped me get way better too because I might not have had the steady hands and fine control for flicks but I started getting better at actively aiming and tracking enemies.
I love using the Force a Nature too because even though other people hate it for it's knockback, it forces me to make my shots count and when I hit both, I get great damage in and disorient the enemy cause they're getting bounced around, and there's enough space for me to either retreat (since FaN can handle lighter classes in 2 shots pretty well), use my secondary, or reposition for follow up FaN shots. It might not be the best strategy but it's what works for me and I have fun doing it!

You should use the soda popper, flying guillotine, and sun on a stick. It’s my favorite scout load out.
I prefer to run the Wrap Assassin instead, so you've got two long range projectiles as Scout (which are a bit difficult to land, but hitting both makes 125hp classes bleed to death)

I was gonna do this earlier but I forgot
I prefer with Milk, but the Shortstop is such a great weapon. IF you can land your shots. If you can't land them, and maintain a fast fire rate while doing so, you'll suffer. I also prefer to have a 'normal' melee (Fish) because sometimes you just need to get up in someone's face and finish the fight faster than a reload will allow. Good, difficult-to-predict double jumping really makes it shine up-close, even Heavy can be beaten if you can make your evasion and aim work together. Scattergun Scouts are a close fight, they can be beaten too, but a good one will require you to be very, very quick and precise with shots and movement.
Imagine doing this with a friend who was running jarate sniper…
