In this video we look at 5 ideas of how to pick up the guitar & just start playing! This strays into the idea of playing with more freedom & 'flow state'. We especially look at how to create a simple guitar part that can be layered by using a looper pedal.
This essentially shows a side to guitar which is more fun and engaging than sometimes technique based exercises or following tab can be - however, the goal here is to have most if not all of these skills in order to be a well rounded player & to get the most out of playing!

Yes electric also please
Thanks for the comment! I'm excited to do an electric one too. Anything specific you'd like to see?
@@andycrowley yes think its called harmonics where you lightly press on the strings and it makes a sound I can never do it
I'll include harmonics just for you :) If you can't wait, here's a lesson on tapped, pinched and natural harmonics here, which is part of the Andy guitar membership www.andyguitar.co.uk/lessons/07-harmonics/
I’ve been watching your stuff pretty consistently for almost half a year and this is my favorite video yet. I would really appreciate an electric version
Will do! Anything specific you'd like to see, let me know! (Musical key, genre, looper pedal or jam track or none of that?)
I really like blues rock, or even what I like to call Nashville rock (check out “2:20” by colony house) but anything and everything is what I want to learn. I don’t know my keys that well so a video on giving an overview on some more keys and their typical genres could be kinda cool too!
It made a link to the time stamp in your video but that was obviously not the intention
Could you do more of these? Perhaps for different chords? This helped me massively.
Sure thing, it looks like it's gone down well in the comments! If you want more right away, you can find more looper pedal jams in all 12 keys, plus looper/jamming tips here www.andyguitar.co.uk/courses/learn-acoustic-looper-pedal-jamming
This is great. Relatively new player and this is exactly what I’m looking for when I sit down to just mess around a bit before practice.
Oh, man thanks so much for this its exactly what I had in mind with my electric guitar, not only to try to play along with songs but doing a bit of own creativity ( to become a creator haha) as well and yes I bought already a looper. Again thanks so much
Glad I could help! If you want more, here's a load of looper pedal videos showing tips and tricks plus how to jam in EVERY key! www.andyguitar.co.uk/courses/learn-acoustic-looper-pedal-jamming
yes please Andy (electric also) great video, you make awesome content 👌🏼
Thanks! Will do!
How I wish I could learn more with you in person 😢😢
Wow! I just tried this! It's so much fun and makes the loop sound amazing. Thanks so much!!!
Toujours clair dans ses explications Andy, et avec ces étapes, merci j'adore! Salut de la France 😊
Please. YES on Electric ! 👍🏼🙏
This is the best guitar teacher. Hes just got a certain style that doesnt scare off someone who's basically just picked up a guitar. (me!)
Thanks for your comment. I'm glad the videos help you! Anything specific you'd like to see, just let me know 🎸
Excellent advice. Thank you.
Thanks Andy!👍👍Could you please do one on how to start soloing in the minor pentatonic scale please.🎸🙏
I'd love to see one for Electric as well, please! Seeing as I think I'll primarily be an electric player until I can find a small body acoustic.
Electric version would be great!
Thx andy, am in love with this.
I'd like an electric guitar version of the same video please because I think It would sound like rock.
Yes please Andy
🤟
Thank you!
Much appreciated Andy, happy days my friend 😎
Thanks Andy.
Thank you Andy!
Thanks for watching! Hope it helps 🎸
Love it andy❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
Electric Guitar version? Yes please!
I'm on it 🎸
@@andycrowley Awesome, thanks for the great content for us beginners
Simple makes the most complex sounds. Being enthralled with the sound of a single note helps in getting lost into your own blends.
I totally agree! There's some great solos even with just ONE note - I wanna be sedated by Ramones for one!
I’m on a campaign to promote the learning of the C Scale. Learn that and it unlocks all other keys. Key of G is only 1 note difference. Not even one. A half a note. 😅 Be Well.
Yes to electric guitar version please Andy.
Loved this, I've gotten into a bit of a rut learning over past few months, unfortunately I dont have and electric acoustic guitar so cant use the looper, I'd love to try with the electric though.
Everything I show here will work on electric the same, just have the amp on a clean setting 😀
Great vid,i like acoustic
Electric as well please yes!
When I first picked up the guitar the very first chord I learned to play was EflatMaj7 bar chord
What a guy 🙌
Andy can you do a tutorial on I'm out time by oasis your coolset teacher ever 😘
Great ideas Andy. I all ready play around with d Sus 2 and 4 chords. But soo much you could attempt and make your own music. Need a looper tho. Thank you again for all the tips! 👍🎸
No worries! You might also enjoy this free video showing 10 great riffs that use sus chords, some great ones to learn here! www.andyguitar.co.uk/lessons/10-great-songs-that-use-sus-chords/
Thanks Andy, i will be sure to check them out and have some fun with them ! Many thanks again for all you do. Brian 🎸
Yes to an electric version too please Andy.
Yes, please post an electric guitar version of this.
Definitely do an electric guitar video. This video was awesome!
Thanks! Will do 😀
@@andycrowley I forgot to say please and thank you, so.... please and thank you.
Electric please😊😊😊😊
Electric...yes, please!
@Andy..please recommend a looper for us beginners. ❤
Hard to beat the TC Electronic Ditto looper with one button for around £80 (cheaper 2nd hand and most are still perfect condition). Any Boss looper would be the next step up
Electric version yes please
I bought an accoustic guitar 9 months ago thinking I would learn guitar...I never got around to it...
Although I do dream of jamming on fav melodies one day.
I'm here bro don't worry your channel
will start growing once more l bet ❤🎉😊
Awesome, I'll take the rest of the week off then! 😂
A big yes to electric
🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
I'd love the electric guitar version of this lesson
Some more bowie or some john lennon song tutorials would have been helpful . Thanks .
More Bowie and Lennon to come for sure! Which songs would you like to see? 😀
Personally I’d love to learn Andy Warhol!
What kind of loop petal do you have?
Mine is a ditto X2 and I love it. But I'm really interested to try out the new Ed Sheeran loopers as the features seem pretty impressive
Beginners should learn the A minor Scale in first position by law.
