    Just used my 2003 zx6r for first time since I had one of these fitted . Totally transformed my riding around donnington. As a novice rider it really helped me break the fear barrier and hit that rev limiter. So much more comfortable on the wrist and certainly i felt i was way faster on the straights than normal. Even got black flagged for noise so must have been revving far more than usual as this has never happened before ( I'll post videos so you can give me feedback as before. ) great article 👍👍

      phil hallam Phill, that’s an absolutely brilliant comment mate. I couldn’t agree with you more, especially on a 600 this throttle really gets the bike going like you have never felt before. And when I used it properly for the first time it just used to make the bike go crazy and really gets rid of the fear as the throttle action is halved compared to standard throttle. Please do post the video , I would love to see and let me know when you do. And I definitely agree, that once you get used to the crazy acceleration and start to manage it, it definitely brings the laptimes down . Thanks for watching mate and leaving a lovely comment

    • @ChasingTenths

      Kal Heer absolutely agree, it’s not for everyone. It’s a niche product. And one you use it you never go back to standard throttle. It’s quite easy to change those cams to suit your riding style but this is definitely for your avid track rider and racer who is really looking ways to shave time and improve little by little in many ways , sector by sector , tiny tenths gained here and there accumulated to a second .... it’s a marmite product but from personal experience, it’s a great mindset changer

    really good video just hoping to pick your brain, I tend to do a few track days a year but also use my bike on the road (2020 mt10) this is a mod I have been thinking of as you need double jointed wrists to fully open the throttle on most bikes and no point having plenty of horse power unless you can use it. Do you think it would make the bike too snatchy for general road use, I appreciate that it is my own choice to do and you can`t advise but just after an opinion if you don`t mind. Keep up the great videos.

    • @ChasingTenths
      @ChasingTenths  3 роки тому +1

      Hey Phil, apologies for the late reply , some comments slip through the net. MT10 is a superb bike with so much beautiful midrange torque, it always delivers that torque quite smoothly so this throttle wouldn't make it snatchy. If I were you I would try with the most aggressive Cam first and If you like it then stay with it. Modulate the throttle movements in the beginning gently and make it more suited to your riding stye. You must give time to get used to it. Its amazing how much throttle feel you get from these thin but full of feel domino grips. Let me know how you got on with them , in this same comment thread. Happy to always help , feel free to ask. Thanks for watching my stuff Phil

    Excellent advice. Out of curiousity -with the quick action did you have to 'readjust' your habit of rolling on the throttle when coming out of turns? Was it more difficult since there is a smaller range hence you would have to be more gentle when starting to roll the throttle on? Sorry if that question was already asked below.

    • @ChasingTenths
      @ChasingTenths  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Mariuz, don't apologise mate, no problem. Yes for definitely I had to modulate the throttle with my wrist and change mindset slightly especially on the white coloured cam. When you go full throttle , the bike just goes crazy , in a good way. I wouldn't recommend changing cams for different riding days , but keep one cam for all conditions but change your mindset and adjust your throttle , its very very easy to get used to. and its very rewarding in the long ring :)

    I'm mostly a street rider but working my way into track riding once per month on a Ducati Panigale V2. I actually just picked up a Domino RBW Plug & Play Electonic Quick Throttle but couldnt find much on how it will change the "feel" of my thorttle vs my OEM one. Just from twisting it I can tell the rotation is much less than stock but was worried that I''ll loop the bike or something because there is less room for error going from closed to full throttle. Will I get used to it quickly? I hate how much rotation I have to give it as of right now so was hoping this would be a nice fix. My bike does have riding modes (Sport, Race) where it changes how the thorttle responds (smooth vs dynamic = more responsive).

    I mainly intend to canyon riding at the moment but I also use the same bike for daily commuting. I want to get a quick throttle for my r1 but im not sure if it is going to affect street ride-ability. I know you can change the rings for normal and quick but I feel like it will be hard to adjust to 2 types of throttles at the same time, like maybe ill think im on a normal ring on the street but im on the quick one ending on a low side. Have you had any experience with this type of scenario?

    • @ChasingTenths
      @ChasingTenths  4 роки тому

      Abel Tavares Perez mate. That’s a fantastic question. I’ll be honest I have been using the white ring (rapid track ring) for the road in 2018 . And to be honest it takes a ride or two to really get used to the feel but you get it sorted , it’s all in the head and the wrist mate. I wouldn’t change the cams (rings) for different styles of ride. If you always do roads and not tracks. Try the medium ring first , then move on to white one. Only because I have seen some canyon crashing videos and And I get worried with the undue camber I notice on American canyon roads . Sometimes you can have lovely camber which helps you and then negative camber bites you back . So start with the medium ring , then experiment with the white . If you think white is too much then move back to medium one. But don’t change them regularly mate depending on your ride . That won’t be good
