Majora's Mask is my favorite by far. I love the creepy and melancholy atmosphere, detailed world, well written stories, strong world building, fleshed out characters and good dialogue, it's originality, it's challenge, having the best side quests in all of Zelda, having the best town with Clock Town, having good dungeons overall, and having some of the best music. I like how it deviates from the repetitive formula of "go into forest temple, then fire, then water, etc." I like the time system because it adds so much depth to its characters, world, and stories. Also, playing as a deku, goron, and zora is just awesome.
This is exactly why I’m hoping they port Twilight Princess and Wind Waker over to the Switch. I need to play them so I know where they stand for my tastes
WW is so good. I am a puzzle hater. The worst part of BOTW to me is the shrine puzzles. Though I love the pace of TP. I couldn’t continue the game. However, I can get completely immersed in WW. You can control wind. You sail over the ocean. These two things are valid enough for me to suffer from all other puzzles. This game has the best sailing experience even better than TOTK when you can build whatever ships or rafts. ❤
Nice list. My favorite part was listening to your well thought-out thoughts and opinion. Here is my list (and reasoning): 7. Skyward Sword (An excellent game held back by major pacing issues) 6. Tears of the Kingdom (In some aspects TotK is the greatest game I ever played, but for every great thing there was an aspect of the game that didn't set well with me. My biggest issues were the story, world building, being able to break puzzles too easily, excessive context sensitivity, and too much time having to scroll through menus) 5. Breath of the Wild (Overall I felt it was a more consistent experience than TotK. One of my favorite games to casually speedrun and pull of random tricks for the heck of it. Depending on the day it this could be #3, but I put it here mostly cause I think there is a lot of room for improvement for the open air Zelda concept. I'm looking forward to where the series goes next) 4. The Wind Waker (Great art direction, great story, epic finale, and wonderful music. Biggest thing that hold it back is that the end of the game feels a bit unfinished. For such a vast over-world, there really should have been 2 or more dungeons in this game) 3. Twilight Princess (A solid adventure that captures the hero's journey. Biggest thing holding it back is the game is a bit too easy for being a "dark" game. I also feel aspects of the game are much cooler in concept than they are in actual gameplay. Despite these issues, I can't ignore the epic feelings I get when playing this game) 2. Ocarina of Time (A the perfect depiction of the hero's journey in a video game. Has a solid balance of adventure, exploration, story, and gameplay. Not to mention this game is the reason why I'm such a video game fanatic and led me on the path on making my own video games. My life wouldn't be the same without this game) 1. Majora's Mask (While Oot was the game that started my passion for video games, Mm was the game that made me realize the limitless potential of the medium of video games. This game is so immersive and despite all of its flaws, I think its very flaws are the reason why I love it so much. I wouldn't change it at all)
Ah yes, Orkarina of time, what a classic 🔥🔥🔥 Jokes aside great video, I do think I would’ve put MM higher tho, I get its placement, but I just love the creepy, depressing vibe of it, so unique.
I actually thought the same thing but out of curiousity I went back to Botw after 800 hours on TOTK and was interested enough to play to completion pretty much
Look up “wind bombing” or “bomb impact launch” this trick alone makes BOTW SO fun to play. It lets you SOAR high and EXTREMELY fast using just your bombs. You can’t do that in TOTK
I agree that TotK makes BotW obsolete pretty much, but I also think I'd recommend BotW more to someone who wants a more subtle and relaxing experience, like a kid for example.
@@rd0303.exactly my thoughts as well Botw was amazing but totk was stale already and dropped it after the first dungeon Still wanna go back to it though
I thought BOTW was okay but I was never a fan of the 100% open world, too empty thing. TOTK was cluttered but still felt empty and meaningless. Worst of them all
This is definitely a game series that has a lot of passionate fans with extremely different opinions. It’s interesting how someone else can have an amazing experience with one of these games, while someone has the worst experience with that same game. Here’s my ranking: (worst to best) Skyward Sword Twilight Princess Tears of the Kingdom Majora’s Mask Breath of the Wild Windwaker Ocarina of Time I can certainly understand why TOTK is towards the top of a lot of people’s lists. For me personally, I really did LOVE the game when it first came out….well, after the first six or so hours getting used to the crafting. But, I found the game to be increasingly more tedious and frustrating as I continued past the 25 hour mark. While the story is loads better than BOTW, it’s still told in a fractured format. The dungeons were disappointing, the crafting was tedious, and the world felt like a retread after a while. Again, I get why people love it! But, for a lot of the reasons people love it….I just didn’t enjoy most of it. I will replay BOTW over and over again before I feel the need to put my self through TOTK again. Skyward at the bottom is mostly just the controls/gameplay. The story is one of my favorites. Twilight Princess is somewhat boring to me. I have a hard time replaying this one. For the top two, I can go back and forth on it. Some days I feel Windwaker is my favorite….the next, it’s Ocarina.
Been playing videogames all my life and TotK is literally the first game that made me feel like a kid since i was a kid almost 40 years ago. TotK blew BotW out of the window for me. Sure it used the same freaking map so you knew roughly were everything was but honestly there was nothing really to explore in BotW. What is behind that hill? Most likely nothing, more grass/hills/lakes, maybe a c/p enemy camp with useless weapon. The most interesting thing to find in BotW were the towns and the shrines.
I share the same experience with TOTK. Meanwhile, there is still a lot to explore in BOTW. BOTW is definitely better polished than TOTK. For example, each status of each shrine has a different gesture. The status are all the same in TOTK. TOTK has the best game mechanics Leading to most mind blowing experience. Both are the best masterpieces ever created.❤
7. Skyward Sword 6. Breath of the Wild 5. Tears of the Kingdom 4. The Wind Waker 3. Twilight Princess 2. Majora’s Mask 1. Ocarina of Time Breath of the Wild might be the most overrated game of all time. Tears is better in every way, but the 4 I have in front of it are better. Wind Waker is significantly better than Tears and it being number 4 is not a knock against it.
7. Twilight Princess 6. Majora’s Mask 5. Skyward Sword 4. Breath of the Wild And then my top 3, Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, & Tears of the Kingdom… move and shift around a bit.
Tears of the Kingdom is the worst 3D Zelda because it's the "most unnecessary Zelda" imo. It doesn't have an identity of its own. It’s just BOTW again but with building mechanics that become tedious around the halfway mark. I appreciate BOTW for what it did even if it lacked a lot of what I love from the series. TOTK didn't do anything to remedy that
MM is just OoT again with a time mechanic that becomes tedious halfway through. Just as ridiculous a take. “But it had a new map” so did TOTK, 2 of them. MM is mostly (not entirely) just a retooled OoT map anyway, and small at that. BOTW and TOTK feel different enough just like OoT and MM do. The new mechanics, tools, map/areas and story absolutely give it its own identity. Just the fact that some people can hate one and not the other (like you) is enough to prove that alone.
@@Random1567 very big difference between OoT to MM and BotW to TotK. the fact the main part of tears was literally the same as BotW killed the exploration part of the game. the sky islands were complete ass, most of them are just worthless. the depths is cool....until its not. its just a mirrored version of the overworld with old dlc armor. MM had its own world and identity that was completely different from OoT. TotK just felt like a BotW second draft, and for a 6 year wait, completely disappointing.
BOTW and TOTK are so overrated. I'm not saying they aren't good but the fact that people outright ignored legitimate criticisms of these game and called both of them the "Greatest Zelda game of all time" when they were released is ridiculous.
I really recommend that you play Ocarina of time. To me it’s the best game of all time, and also the best Zelda. It’s such an awesome cool experience w/ great dungeons & story
Breath of the Wild's story being basic is what I liked. It was well implemented in tandem with the gameplay. The gaps between gameplay and story were pretty big so keeping it simple was perfect.
For me BotW would be number 1 if it wasn't for TotK, now it's either number 2 or it's tied for number 1 with TotK, I think they're both pretty much on the same level.
Sometimes the difference between a successful channel and an almost successful channel are the small details. That is also true for everything you do in life.
1000% Objective take: 1. Ocarina of Time 2. Breath of The Wild 3. Twilight Princess 4. Wind Waker 5. Tears of the Kingdom 6. Majora’s Mask 7. Skyward Sword Explanation: 1. OOT, Innovated many things in all of 3D gaming, cutting edge, world building, a lot of content for the time. No major flaws, especially by 1998 standards. 2. BOTW: Brought exploration back to the series, the physics/chemistry engine is super polished . The attention to detail is really nice, it cuts down on other stuff to focus on gameplay. DLC was great too. 3. TP, pretty much OOT on steroids. For 2006 and stuck on gamecube file size, it is a great game. The early game is only a flaw on replay, and it has the most enemy variety in any 3D zelda game. Hyrule field being emptyish is probably due to the file size sadly, the other main flaw. I hope they make a sequel like in the Wii U tech demo. 4. WW, it has many highs and solid design. The balance between exploration and the traditional zelda formula could be better than BOTW. The main issue is the cut content, like the Nayru pearl dungeon and the dungeon for its sage. 5. TOTK pretty much a better botw in every way but exploration, you kinda of know whats around every corner. Even in the Sky/underground its pretty much all similiar. 6. MM, it’s one of my favorite games but as a Zelda game it has some issues. 4 temples is too little, if they added 1 more dungeon to the Deku/Goron/Zora areas you go back to in the final act it would have been nice. The 3DS version is too bright, has the wrong link model, ruins Zora mask and the bosses. The N64 version framerate is too low, saving is not as pickup n play. 7. SS for coming out in 2012, a year after Skyrim it looks and plays like a joke. Probably why they 180’d to BOTW after. It felt like a last gen game at launch, with the back tracking, easy combat, padding and backtracking. Compared to TP its a step back.
I was 260 hrs in BOTW and never knew how the river and bank from west to east look like in Hyrule. That’s the first thing I did in TOTK. Build my own cruise and sail along the entire river. TOTK definitely gives new perspectives to explore the world when most players thought they already knew every corner of the world but actually not.
I just started the video and i thought if skyward sword is not last i will close the video and you did put it in last place so i really respect your listing
1 twilight 2 ocarina 3 skyward ( on the Wii the motion controls actually made me feel like I was swinging a sword ⚔️🗡️) 4 tears 5 breath ( it improves wind wakers stealing enemy weapons I like taking enemies out with their weapons) 6 wind ( not a fan of cell shading and tingle) 7 majora ( reality has time limits and I play games to escape reality and have fun)
Twilight Princess is #1 for me too and it's sad how most people underate it. it's like Ocarina of Time but so much more. it's the Ultimate Legend of Zelda. Wii version is my favorite as the motion controls make the game more fun. plus, everything being on the opposite side looks weird i.e on the GameCube. to me, it's the last great Legend of Zelda. I'm not a fan of Zelda Scrolls
"The 3ds version, which is definitely the definitive way to play this game," hard agree, but imagine that Nintendo makes a remake with Wild era graphics (or a new engine) and an upgraded menu
Hey cavester. Was looking up some videos to get some inspiration HP for my own Zelda video and this was perfect. Agree 100% on the list although MM gotta be higher, man. Even you were praising it so much I had to stop and be like…. Then why so far back on the list?! Hmmph 🤔 🤔
For me the list is 7) The Wind Waker 6) Twilight Princess 5) Ocarina of Time 4) Skyward Sword 3) Breath of the Wild 2) Majora's Mask 1) Tears of the Kingdom
Idk what was more egregious… Majora’s Mask at second to last or the ORCArina of time. 😅 but FRFR MM is my favorite of the 3D games. MM is objectively not “the best” but it’s my comfort food of video games. (Btw new video idea, your top 10 “comfort food” games)
Cave. It’s really hard to rank them but I guess my favorite is Majora‘s Mask. I’m a sucker for Groundhog Day stuff. Ocarina was my first and it blew me away too.
I was terrible at the original Legend of Zelda and Link to the Past, and I thought for the longest time I thought that I hated Zelda games. Then I played Ocarina of Time and had a blast, and I eventually came to realize I just suck at the 2D Zelda games as though I grew up in a cave or something, and I've enjoyed all the 3D Zelda games. My rankings are somewhat different though. 7. Skyward Sword 6. Majora's Mask 5. Wind Waker 4. Breath of the Wild 3. Tears of the Kingdom 2. Twilight Princess 1. Ocarina of Time
Nice list! Heres my ranking 7. Skyward Sword 6. Breath of the Wild 5. Ocarina of Time 4. Majoras Mask 3. Wind Waker 2. Tears of the Kingdom 1. Twilight Princess
You can notice that Zelda WW was your first entrance into the series because you do not fully point out the downsides like the bad pacing before the end, the absent difficulty in the dungeons and the fact that a lot of space is just water. And you argue very often just with "magical". So yeah, that nostalgia hits you hard, but that is okay! :D Edit: The water temple in OoT is not "bad". It has its downsides, sure, but bad? No.
Loved the video, you genuinely have played through each game thoroughly and it’s interesting to hear someone talk about these amazing games with actual knowledge! I think ranking this will always stir up heated discussions but hey, that’s what having an opinion is all about! I’ve been playing games since 1992 (I was 3!) and I started with Zelda 2 on the NES. Ridiculously hard game (but not so much after replaying it so many times) but it made me fall in love with the series despite not playing the original Zelda. Ocarina changed my life when it came out, I’ve never played anything like it and the world felt so massive back then! So! Here’s my ranking: 7. TP 6. SS 5. BOTW 4. WW 3. OOT 2. MM 1. Tears of the Kingdom TOTK is single handedly the greatest game I have ever played. I think you placing it so high is proof that the game rewards you the more time you put into it. And effectively, it makes BOTW feel redundant despite it blowing me away when I first played it! Great list, my takes are probably completely different to everyone else’s but I love hearing what people think. These games mean so much to me, they are time capsules in themselves of just wonderful memories, even when things are tough in the real world. Thanks for the video, you earned a new subscriber ☺️
7. Tears of the Kingdom 6. Twilight Princess 5. Skyward Sword 4. Breath of the Wild 3. Ocarina of Time 2. Wind Waker 1. Majora’s Mask I haven’t even finished Tears of the Kingdom. It’s the most disappointing to me because it’s just so disinteresting. Zelda should NEVER be disinteresting. It’s my favorite series of all time, so this was a surprising feeling for me. As a completionist, the 1,000 korok seeds were a huge letdown, and that with the silly reward from each dungeon just made the bulk of the game feel like busywork. Beyond some ultra-hand mechanics, I don’t see why anyone should play through the game in its entirety. Feels like it had no direction. You can get more enjoyment out of the Oracle games
Love the list, although I'm surprised how much praise Wind Waker gets. It's actually the one 3D Zelda that I usually never finish because of Tingle's map quest at the end. It completely takes the fun out of the game that makes you grind for thousands of rupees when large amounts are hard to come by... One of the very few things in a Zelda game that I absolutely fucking hate and don't find fun, and imo ruins the game entirely...
I hate how “cloudy” and yellow twilight princess always looked. Nothing was ever clear and easy to see. It’s like I was fighting against the graphics in that game mostly. Hopefully they port it to Switch.
Nice & fair list. Majora's Mask is my #1. I know the 3 day cycle might lead to an bit of a pressure and I get it if your not the patient type of person. But if you know exactly how to manipulate time and know exactly where, what & how to do it, than it's not that bad. In fact, it's alot of fun. Combined with the Mask you can collect and what I think it approves from OoT like the overworlds, dungeons, challenge, story, characters, atmosphere, soundtrack, etc., I personally believe to be an superior game. Some might disagree. But that's how I feel.
You don't have to defend how you feel, friend. Only immature people would throw negative comments based on your pick 😊. Also... YESSS MM is not only my favorite Zelda game also... But it's my favorite video game ever created 🌚
I find it peculiar that everyone who says totk sucked is a Zelda fan... I haven't played skyward sword or Twilight princess, but I've played the rest. Ocarina is still a 10/10 all these years later, majoras mask somehow changes everything about oot while using the same engine and items, also a 10/10, wind Waker just slaps all around (especially the exploration) also a 10/10. To me though, botw and totk are just flat out masterpieces in almost every way. Botw really opened my eyes to what a video game could be at the highest level, and totk was everything botw was and more. They're both probably tied for my favorite game oat
I would almost agree. I actually had OoT a my #1 best Zelda game (3D/2D) until ToTK. I never thought my nostalgia for OoT would even be overcome but after playing ToTK I had to move OoT to #2 and ToTK to #1.
Very hot takes I say. Tears of the kingdom was my favorite zelda game. Put in over 180 hours n love the customization of making anything you want. No other open world game comes close in my opinion.
Ocarina of Time in my eyes is hands down the best story, gameplay, and world in the story. It's a masterpiece and I get people may think Majora is great and it's my second favorite but it's out there in some aspects.
Not finished Skyward Sword (2 attempts - broke wrist when first came out and then moved house with the Wii packed up in boxes on 2nd attempt). Not finished BotW or TotK. Got 30 hours in on both of them and lost interest. I’m not an open world guy it seems. 4) The Wind Waker 3) Twilight Princess 2) Majora’s Mask 1) Ocarina of Time
Thanks. Interesting that you rate totk higher - at least based on what pops in my youtube feed everyone hates totk. Especially the story. 😂 imo, being about midway through*, i loved botw and totk is the botw with lots of extras. botw, especially pre-dlc, is a much tighter game. but if you wanted to revisit botw with lots more to do and npcs in a recovering hyrule, totk is great. *2 sage quests, all memories and towers completed, master sword recovered. I early on prioritized getting and re- upgrading the Wild armor before even starting the 2nd sage quest bc i worked hard for it in botw and resented it being taken away (trumping even my resentment at someone completely occupying my Hateno house 😂). I just beat my first gloom hands in the korok forest a few hours ago. (eta: I went to substantial trouble to get a pristine royal guard spear to fight Phanton Ganon, and beat him the first time a few hours ago with that and a pristine royal Claymore. In between, I thought "why didn't I just use he master sword" and just decide to retry it at, Akala Citadel. It was ridiculously simple to cheese him lol)
My ranking 7. Tears of the kingdom: i guess technically its better than BOTW but it just doesnt change enough. As a sequel its just more of botw. So its just a game I care about less. 6. Breath of the wild: although exploring the open world can be greay actually playing through the story is pretty underwhelming 5. Skyward Sword: I love the motion controls, they can be finnicky but mostly super fun. It is indeed pretty slow tho. 4. Ocarina of time: every game from now on is like a 10/10. This was my first Zelda and holds a special place in my heart. Holds up super well for a game as old as it is. Its iconic and super fun. 3. The wind waker: this was number 1 for years but it has recently changed with my tastes now. I love sailing the world and exploring the islands. I love the art style too. The dungeons are underwhelming but when you see my number 1 youll see that doesnt really matter. 2. Twilight Princess: i just live the vibe, the characters, the atmosphere, the dungeons, thw music. I just love it 1. Majoras Mask: should be self explanatory.
We all have our own opinions. I align with some of yours for sure. Considering Barinade as a redeeming quality of the water temple is not one of them lol
I love all these games so it feels hard to rank them but for me it would be 7. Majora’s mask, 6. Wind waker, 5. Skyward sword, 4. Ocarina of time, 3. Twilight princess, 2. breath of the wild, 1. Tears of the kingdom
Could not disagree more. Or well, I guess I could, cause I also rank Skyward Sword last, but man we have different taste: 7. Skyward Sword 6. Tears of the Kingdrom 5. Wind Waker 4. Breath of the Wild 3. Ocarina of Time 2. Majoras Mask 1. Twilight Princess (best game ever made)
My Top 7 7. Minish Cap GBA 6. Skyward Sword 5. Breath Of The Wild WiiU/NS 4. Ocarina Of Time N64/3DS 3. Wind Waker GC/WiiU 2. Majora’s Mask N64/3DS 1. A Link A Between Worlds 3DS
Of the ones I've beaten so far, which is not much 😂 3. Ocarina of Time 2. Tears of the Kingdom 1. Breath of the Wild I've played a bit of Majora's Mask and Wind Waker, and i think if I'd finished them, they would be in 1 and 2. I'm more of a 2D zelda guy, ive beaten all of em, saving 3D ones for later haha
My ranking and rating of the 3D Zelda games is: 1. Ocarina of Time - 9/10 2. Breath of the Wild - 8/10 3. Majora’s Mask - 8/10 4. Wind Waker - 7/10 5. Twilight Princess - 7/10 6. Tears of the Kingdom - 6/10 7. Skyward Sword - 6/10
Actually I respect the hell outta your opinions and they are hot takes. I’m the same on Majora I love it but it just appeals as a side quest game and devoted full cycles of days for side quest tires. Anyways I agree and of course disagree but kudos
1 oot 2 mm 3 ss 4 ww 5 botw 6 tp Haven't finished totk but it's on par with botw for me Ss and ww are also very close in my heart. But they do not come close to oot and mm
Ocarina of time is so mid for me I enjoyed majoras mask way more the forest temple was mid except for music all dungeons were mid except for spirit temple songs weren't that great the story was good but mm was better needs more side quest time traveling pretty cool needs more depth in the characters child link dungeons sucked overall didn't really like but my 3ds version was a bit better but majoras mask is better
Then for majoras mask the characters and world are great the story touches my heart about a kid losing his friends the atmosphere of depression but the lingering hope can be found in the world everywhere and for only having 4 dungeons damn were they good great music song of healing and stone tower still in the top 5 overall great game
Haven’t watched yet, but I disagree wholeheartedly

Majora's Mask is my favorite by far. I love the creepy and melancholy atmosphere, detailed world, well written stories, strong world building, fleshed out characters and good dialogue, it's originality, it's challenge, having the best side quests in all of Zelda, having the best town with Clock Town, having good dungeons overall, and having some of the best music. I adore TOTK. It’s a beautiful masterpiece. But BOTW Got me into Zelda and will always have a special place in my library
Nice list. My favorite part was listening to your well thought-out thoughts and opinion.
Here is my list (and reasoning):
7. Skyward Sword
(An excellent game held back by major pacing issues)
6. Tears of the Kingdom
(In some aspects TotK is the greatest game I ever played, but for every great thing there was an aspect of the game that didn't set well with me. TOTK kinda ruined BOTW for me. I don’t see a scenario in which I’d play BOTW over TOTK. Both great, but why go back?

Orcarina?
This vids are really relaxing to me for some reason
You should rank all the God of War games, you haven't done that ranking ever before
I honestly dislike BOTW and TOTK. Especially TOTK put 10 hours and dropped it. Twilight Princess is the best in my opinion.
I agree, BOTW was awesome for me and different but TOTK was stale and didn’t even feel like a Zelda game

"What will be Spider-Man 2"
My lord Johnathan, when did you record this? Lol
This is definitely a game series that has a lot of passionate fans with extremely different opinions. It’s interesting how someone else can have an amazing experience with one of these games, while someone has the worst experience with that same game.

Skyward Sword
Twilight Princess

Majora’s Mask
Breath of the Wild
Windwaker
Ocarina of Time
I can certainly understand why TOTK is towards the top of a lot of people’s lists.
TOTK has the best game mechanics
Leading to most mind blowing experience. Both are the best masterpieces ever created.❤
You earned yourself a New subscriber. Great content. My favoritt game is skyward sword. Miss the old zelda formula
Genuinely surprised that so many people loved Majora's Mask. I enjoyed it but I wouldn't play it again. To me it was alright
Here’s my mega hot take. Tears and Breath would be bottom of my list. Yes great games but I don’t enjoy them at all
7. Skyward Sword
6. Breath of the Wild
5. Tears of the Kingdom
4. The Wind Waker
3. Twilight Princess
2. Majora’s Mask
1. Ocarina of Time
Breath of the Wild might be the most overrated game of all time. Tears is better in every way, but the 4 I have in front of it are better. Wind Waker is significantly better than Tears and it being number 4 is not a knock against it.
BRO CAME INTO THE COMMENTS AND DECIDED TO SPIT 🔥
7. Twilight Princess
6. Majora’s Mask
5. Skyward Sword
4. Breath of the Wild
And then my top 3, Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, & Tears of the Kingdom… move and shift around a bit.
I respect your opinion, but I STRONGLY disagree
7. Tears of the kingdom
6. Majoras mask
5. Breath of the wild
4. Skyward sword
3. Wind waker
2. Ocarina of Time
1. Twilight Princess
@@GUS-fc3jg You can have your own opinion, but we don’t seem to disagree that much. Our lists are pretty similar except for TP & TotK.
Totk is the worst 3d Zelda without a doubt
@@rd0303. You are welcome to that opinion, but it is not one I share.
Bingo
@@Random1567nah bro, cope. Totk was terrible
@@Random1567 MM is not like OoT at all, anyone who has beaten both would laugh at that statement
The Very Underrated Skyward Sword 🗡️ > Wink Waker, TOTK, BOTW, Majora’s Mask in that order
You should Rank every Pokemon games!
Yes
Only played 5 of them so my personal ranking is:
1. Majoras mask
2. Tears of the kingdom
3. Twilight princess
4. Skyward sword
5. Breath of the wild
I love your list!!!
Fantastic list!! I liked the No. 1 😊
I really love them all, but majora and botw is my favourite :))
Merry Christmas! Cage
Cave*
Breath of the Wild's story being basic is what I liked. It was well implemented in tandem with the gameplay. The gaps between gameplay and story were pretty big so keeping it simple was perfect.
For me BotW would be number 1 if it wasn't for TotK, now it's either number 2 or it's tied for number 1 with TotK, I think they're both pretty much on the same level.
nah og zelda>>>>>>
W list. Only thing I would personally change would be Majora’s mask and Oot placement
MM is my favorite. It's unfortunate to see it so low.
Sometimes the difference between a successful channel and an almost successful channel are the small details. That is also true for everything you do in life.
1000% Objective take:
1. Ocarina of Time
2. Breath of The Wild
3. Twilight Princess
4. Wind Waker
5. Tears of the Kingdom
6. Majora’s Mask
7. Skyward Sword
Explanation:
I will forgive you for putting Skyward Sword bottom because you played the Bamboo island theme in the background.
7. Skyward sword
6. Ocarina of Time
5. Breath of the Wild
4. Twilight Princess
3. Wind Waker
2. Tears of the Kingdom
1. Majoras Mask
Cave! lol I also very much agree. The games are amazing and OOT is pretty close to perfection.
Skyward >>>>> twilight = majoras >>>>>> windwaker > ocarina of time (i havent played the switch 3d zeldas yet)
SS enjoyer W
I saw the notification, and I clicked.
Wind Waker was my first Zelda game as well back when it came out on the gamecube 😊.
1 twilight
2 ocarina
3 skyward ( on the Wii the motion controls actually made me feel like I was swinging a sword ⚔️🗡️)
4 tears
5 breath ( it improves wind wakers stealing enemy weapons I like taking enemies out with their weapons)
6 wind ( not a fan of cell shading and tingle)
7 majora ( reality has time limits and I play games to escape reality and have fun)
Disagree almost entirely (my top 2 are MM & TP, and bottom 2 are WW & OoT), but that’s why the series is so amazing, there’s something for everyone!
My top 3 are MM, WW and OOT and TP is in the middle lol
"The 3ds version, which is definitely the definitive way to play this game," hard agree, but imagine that Nintendo makes a remake with Wild era graphics (or a new engine) and an upgraded menu
Hey cavester. Was looking up some videos to get some inspiration HP for my own Zelda video and this was perfect. Agree 100% on the list although MM gotta be higher, man. Even you were praising it so much I had to stop and be like…. Then why so far back on the list?! Hmmph 🤔 🤔
SS>OOT=TOTK>TP>BOTW>MM>WW
Ocarina of Time was way better than BOTW and my first Zelda is BOTW. I only played these two.
You should play Majora's mask. Absolute masterpiece.
@skyvader1238 100% my favorite
Definitely prefer OOT to MM
Based
@@jc8322 Yeah, I have Majora’s Mask on 3DS and I am struggling with knowing where to go, it’s very annoying. I prefer OOT
Good ranking but i'd put MM much higher in my cave. Merry Christmas.
For me the list is
7) The Wind Waker
6) Twilight Princess
5) Ocarina of Time
4) Skyward Sword
3) Breath of the Wild
2) Majora's Mask
1) Tears of the Kingdom
Idk what was more egregious… Majora’s Mask at second to last or the ORCArina of time. 😅 but FRFR MM is my favorite of the 3D games. MM is objectively not “the best” but it’s my comfort food of video games. (Btw new video idea, your top 10 “comfort food” games)
37:48 Ah yes... The Bland Open Worlds with not much to do in them...
Now I can see why you put SS at the bottom. I never realized how stacked the 3d zelda games werw
I have the same top 2. Great list!
Cave. It’s really hard to rank them but I guess my favorite is Majora‘s Mask. I’m a sucker for Groundhog Day stuff. Ocarina was my first and it blew me away too.
wish I had been able to experience peak nintendo 64 and gamecube games
TLOZ: Ocarina of Time is the Only Zelda Game That’s an MasterPiece for me
I was terrible at the original Legend of Zelda and Link to the Past, and I thought for the longest time I thought that I hated Zelda games. Then I played Ocarina of Time and had a blast, and I eventually came to realize I just suck at the 2D Zelda games as though I grew up in a cave or something, and I've enjoyed all the 3D Zelda games. My rankings are somewhat different though.
7. Skyward Sword
6. Majora's Mask
5. Wind Waker
4. Breath of the Wild
3. Tears of the Kingdom
2. Twilight Princess
1. Ocarina of Time
Nice list! Heres my ranking
7. Skyward Sword
6. Breath of the Wild
5. Ocarina of Time
4. Majoras Mask
3. Wind Waker
2. Tears of the Kingdom
Edit: The water temple in OoT is not "bad".
So! Here’s my ranking:
7. TP
6. SS
5. BOTW
4. WW
3. OOT
2. MM
1. Tears of the Kingdom
TOTK is single handedly the greatest game I have ever played.
7. Tears of the Kingdom
6. Twilight Princess
5. Skyward Sword
4. Breath of the Wild
3. Ocarina of Time
2. Wind Waker
1. Majora’s Mask
I haven’t even finished Tears of the Kingdom.
Minish Cap is a good one, enjoy!
Ocarina of Time in my eyes is hands down the best story, gameplay, and world in the story. It's a masterpiece and I get people may think Majora is great and it's my second favorite but it's out there in some aspects.
Putting MM at number 2 is just downright incorrect.
Putting MM at number 6 should be considered a hate crime.
Not finished Skyward Sword (2 attempts - broke wrist when first came out and then moved house with the Wii packed up in boxes on 2nd attempt).
Not finished BotW or TotK. Got 30 hours in on both of them and lost interest. I’m not an open world guy it seems.
4) The Wind Waker
3) Twilight Princess
2) Majora’s Mask
1) Ocarina of Time
Thanks. Interesting that you rate totk higher - at least based on what pops in my youtube feed everyone hates totk. Especially the story. 😂
imo, being about midway through*, i loved botw and totk is the botw with lots of extras. botw, especially pre-dlc, is a much tighter game. but if you wanted to revisit botw with lots more to do and npcs in a recovering hyrule, totk is great.
I freakin love TOTK but in my opinion BOTW is just slightly better. Oh yeah, Cave!
My ranking
7. Tears of the kingdom: i guess technically its better than BOTW but it just doesnt change enough. As a sequel its just more of botw. So its just a game I care about less.
6. Breath of the wild: although exploring the open world can be greay actually playing through the story is pretty underwhelming
I just love it
1. Majoras Mask: should be self explanatory.
We all have our own opinions. I align with some of yours for sure. Considering Barinade as a redeeming quality of the water temple is not one of them lol
Cave. You correctly put the right game at number 1 lol
What comes next for the legend of Zelda ? Maybe a remake or something ?
1. Twilight Princess (Wii)
2. Ocarina of Time (Nintendo 64)
3. Wind Waker (GameCube)
4. Majora's Mask (Nintendo 64)
5. Skyward Sword (Wii)
6. Breath of The Wild (Switch)
7. Tears of The Kingdom (Switch)
I love all these games so it feels hard to rank them but for me it would be 7. Majora’s mask, 6. Wind waker, 5. Skyward sword, 4. Ocarina of time, 3. Twilight princess, 2. breath of the wild, 1. Tears of the kingdom
Majora's mask was done dirty
Good list
2. Orcarina of time
1. Majoras Mask
(The only ones ive played)
can anyone please let me know the song that's used during the first part of the video? that synth goes crazy during his narration lol
Could not disagree more. Or well, I guess I could, cause I also rank Skyward Sword last, but man we have different taste:
7. Skyward Sword
6. Tears of the Kingdrom
5. Wind Waker
4. Breath of the Wild
3. Ocarina of Time
2. Majoras Mask
1. Twilight Princess (best game ever made)
what’s with all the tags in the description
My Top 7
7. Minish Cap GBA
6. Skyward Sword
5. Breath Of The Wild WiiU/NS
4. Ocarina Of Time N64/3DS
3. Wind Waker GC/WiiU
2. Majora’s Mask N64/3DS
1. A Link A Between Worlds 3DS
Of the ones I've beaten so far, which is not much 😂
3. Ocarina of Time
2. Tears of the Kingdom
1. Breath of the Wild
I've played a bit of Majora's Mask and Wind Waker, and i think if I'd finished them, they would be in 1 and 2. I'm more of a 2D zelda guy, ive beaten all of em, saving 3D ones for later haha
When i get home from work ima go into my cave😂
1. Majora’s Mask
2. Twilight Princess
3. Ocarina of Time
4. Wind Waker
5. Skyward Sword
6. Botw and Totk (hate them both equally)
For me its like the following:
7. TP
6. SS
5. WW
4. TOTK
3. MM
2. BOTW
1. OOT
My ranking and rating of the 3D Zelda games is:
1. Ocarina of Time - 9/10
2. Breath of the Wild - 8/10
3. Majora’s Mask - 8/10
4. Wind Waker - 7/10
5. Twilight Princess - 7/10
6. Tears of the Kingdom - 6/10
7. Skyward Sword - 6/10
I agree with Skyward Sword being at the bottom. SS is a great game, but it pales in comparison to the rest of the 3D Zelda games.
I love the water temple 😂
Actually I respect the hell outta your opinions and they are hot takes. I’m the same on Majora I love it but it just appeals as a side quest game and devoted full cycles of days for side quest tires. Anyways I agree and of course disagree but kudos
1 oot
2 mm
3 ss
4 ww
5 botw
6 tp
Haven't finished totk but it's on par with botw for me
Ss and ww are also very close in my heart. But they do not come close to oot and mm
Someone who says it “Orcarina” WOULD rank Majora that low…
(I’m just teasing, but this one was rough for me on a soul-level lol)
