2Pac was never a gangster, but was killed by a real gangster!
Ice-T kept it 💯
If you running with a gang, you yelling M.O.B. from the top of your lungs, you stomping out people....then what does he have to do to be a gang member? There is no difference. It's all perspective.
But Tupac was real men unlike that punk ass gangster who got killed by real gangsters
Ice T is in my opinion one of the most genuine, knowledgeable and talented rappers to grace the game. There was nothing manufactured or contrived about his talent. If there will ever be a Mount Rushmore of rappers Ice should be there.
He would for sure be on Rushmore for the gangsta rap genre
@@leonleon2276 I agree. I also think Cube should be on the Gangsta Mount Rushmore as well. Thinking about two more that's well deserving also. Like Pac and Biggie maybe?
major label artist from the start lmao
ur true OG is image product from the 80s
O.g tee
@@supergristmill6195 Tupac and Biggie weren't gangsta rappers, they primarily made songs about money and women mixed with some street tales. Pure gangsta rappers are guys like Spice 1 and Ice Cube who didn't make songs about money or women, just street life.
Ice-T been dropping street knowledge from day one. Always made the clear separation from being a gang banger and a stone cold player hustler.
He was a Gangster when he wrote Colors. The first and probably best gangster rap song ever.
I get where T is coming from. I never even met Pac and I look back at certain choices he made in his life and as an adult now, I find myself mad at him too. Pac had so much potential beyond rap or street culture. He could have been successful and impactful in any lane he chose to go into, whether rap, acting, activism, being a voice for not just the community but his generation etc. Dude was blessed with that level of talent and charismatic ability. He just lacked guidance on a fatherly level. Pac even admitted in interviews that him lacking a FATHER impacted his direction in life.
He didn't give a f***. Listen to that song. They don't give a f*** about us by pac and the outlaws. Maybe you'll understand
Ironically, he made up with biological father (before he passed). Remember Pac used to go hard at his pops, once they reconciled he fell back in talking about him in a negative way. 💯
Lacking fatherly guidance it affect us more than often
I get what ur saying but pac did Gods work. It’s out of our hands and the culprits r all slowly crumbling. Puffy will eventually fall
@@dkscott331 I never new my biological father. Moms never told me anything about him except in a few instants when I pressed. I think she knew I didn't really want to know even if I felt the need to know, you know? About a year ago I was conversing with one of my cousins about it. Most of us grew up without a father. Shortly after Moms text me a picture of some guy with a brief back story. Although it may be real, I didn't quite buy it. I think she just did it to ease my mind.
Rip Tupac 25years later and they still talk about you until this day more and more
It's how people make money. If it isn't Pac it would be someone else controversial.
ua-cam.com/video/9QqQtfjZ-8Q/v-deo.html
If only Pac would've listened to those that knew.
Tupac should have listened to Ice-T and the O.G.'s.; he'd be here now.

He always has been, he never changed, he was the same in the 80's, facts 💯
I love Ice T, he is one smart dude. But you are confusing the meaning of well spoken. He is not an educated, articulate, and refined person.
how manny times he throw the N word ?
One of the most intelligent and articulate spokespeople in hip hop
That how cats were back in the day, you were look down upon If you were illiterate… 😂
Ice T is spitting a lot of wisdom, I hope someone is listening!
You can tell he's educated and educated in the streets... it's why he made something of himself.
As a person who grew up in the eighties, I really enjoyed rap music back in the eighties and early nineties. Modern rap just isn't the same.
I grew up with it as well. NWA in 1986 was my first exposure. The time period you describe was great. I lost interest sometime in the early 90s because it began to feel like there was no new material just recycled stuff. I still feel that way. But 86 to early to mid 90s was fun. There are still gems here and there, of course, regardless of what year it is.

You don’t have to be from a Gang to be an OG much Respect 🧊T 💯
for what does OG stay ?
u dont have to be one to be one is the most stupid thing i ever read here
Yes you do. Thats the whole point
🤔
Ice-T started with the Crips Gang.. .
OG means Original Gangster, but I get what u mean,
Ice T is a hustler from birth this man learned the game at an early age and used those skills to put himself in a position to where he is now.
I love what he said on Rhyme n Reason
This is why Ice T had been able to have the longevity in his career because he knows how to play his hand.
Ice t and Mc Eiht are the the only ones that tells the truth when it comes to Tupac’s gang life style and death ..no sugar coating!!!
True indeed. Suge saw him and saw dollar signs. He got played
He did that Shock G voice perfectly lol.
😆 YEA he did......R I P shock G
This brother literally invented the so-called “gangster rap” genre, turned it from street hustling and gave it the cross over appeal it needed.
You're just going to pretend schooly D never existed!
And then got in that big booty white girl. Championship edition.
Schooly D did #Philly
@@danielgonzales5502 Ice took one song and used Schooly D style. 6 in the morning was the style of rap that Schooly D used on his song Saturday Night.
Ice created his own style after that one.
@@danielgonzales5502 No disrespect to Schooly D. Ice-T took it to another level that no one else came close too. Not to mention he did it from a WC perspective.
Born and raised in the areas Ice talks about while he was on the rise(I went to Palms Junior High 12 years after he did) I NEVER skip an opportunity to soak up game from him. I'm 49.
Ice-T always gives tons of wisdom in his interviews. I can see why 2pac, who was also very intelligent and insightful respected and admired Ice-T.
Ice T has lived on the West Coast for many years and knows about all the bloods and crips in LA, he's a real OG.
He went to my high school.
he is a criminal and gangbanger a active rollin 60 crip
its a shame he even can raise his voice in public.
if u wonder. dont listen to criminals
He is also from Newark NJ
that's the big difference between Ice-T & 2Pac: Both from East Coast, but Ice-T was in LA by age 10 & putting in work, paying dues to the West; while Pac didn't land in LA til he was like 20 & never built no bonds or loyalties, then at the same time turned his back on the East
@@Tarantulisimo correction ice t came out there at 13 but you right pac came to Cali at 17 going on 18
The O.G. Ice T droppin the purest game! Gotta listen he’s definitely the first GANGSTER RAPPER!
Excellent points by Ice T. By getting involved in local politics as an outsider and eventually becoming a member, you can limit your options financially. The people born and raised in that particular environment may have chosen their career path for life at 12 or 13 years old.
Mob James said he didn't like Pac saying MOB. He didn't put work n. Suge was viewed the same. They were basically extorting each other

RIP Pac
@stryfetc1 the Illuminati killed 2Pac that’s why you never ever found out who killed him fools
Gang didn’t kill Tupac the IlumiNATTI did
@stryfetc1 exactly. Strange thing is Pac rapped against gangs and gang violence while hanging out and wanting to fit in with them. Suge knight was a terrible influence on him and you gradually saw him losing his way. Both began to believe they were bigger than some things. What high profile millionaires drive around at night with no bodyguards.
@@Biggdoom344 the sad thing is...that pac would have done quite well without that crew.. the man was a lyrical genius. I understand Suge helped him out when he needed it but he should've quickly separated himself...he would've still been here with a ton of mula ...no doubt
Just because a dude is not a gang banger dose not mean he won’t pill ur cap or knock u out your a man before any thing

Exactly !! I hate when people think you pussy cause you ain’t in a gang. When it’s rather the opposite. Gangs are weak !! every last one of them fall onto each other. Nobody is their own
Respect to Ice T, ✊✊. If someone has real "care"\ family care for someone, there gonna be angry about the person's mistakes. That's how it's "shown", you don't lie to fam.✊
The truth is Pac was angry, hurt and in a dark space after going to prison and getting shot up due his former friends. So when Pac and Suge's bad energy was combined, they were on a collision course with disaster.
You definitely speak the truth!! When Tupac was at his lowest, Suge Knight came along and bailed him out of jail and took him under his wing and Pac appreciated that, because he was paranoid as hell and didn't know who to trust. I know there are stories floating around that Suge had something to do with Tupac's death, but I totally don't believe that!! I do believe that Suge cared about Pac (as much as Suge could really care about anybody, lol). That was a stupid move on their part to assault Orlando Anderson and sadly it cost Tupac his life and we lost the best rapper to ever pick up a mic. RIP Tupac!!
I used to not like Ice speaking on Pac but know that I am older Ice T has always been 100 percent correct and I am from L.A!
The story of Tupac and Biggie if you pay attention is like a biblical one. A story with many lessons on life with a moral , plus pacs message was a real human one. 🐐
What lesson?
the truth is . 2 glorifying gangbangers did die becaue of gangbanging, what moral u see here ?
Elaborate please.
It was life lessons and anyone who was paying attention in real time with a little bit of "Knowledge" saw the messages that ran throghout because Pac laid it out in his music and in interviews. That's why it disaponts me that these so called OG's don't know how to articulate what you seem to understand because they are the FAKE ones.

Regained a ton of respect for Ice in this interview. I was basically raised by pac in the 90s and grew up mad at anyone speaking bad about him. Now in my 30s it’s clear to see he was brilliant but very emotional. Respect to the OG for being a guide to others for decades.
Finally, someone speaking the truth about 2Pac, rather than holding him up to this infallible, God-like status. He's right. Pac wasn't no gangster. He was a rapper/actor, and probably the only rapper who could legitimately act too, trying to walk in the shoes of a world he had no business in. Sad part about it is his actions indirectly resulted in the loss of another great rapper, who actually understood very well there's a big difference between rapping about gang life and living gang life.
Pac faked his death. No autopsy report. No doctor or nurse has ever shown up to testify that they attended to Tupac while in hospital.Who cremated him? Are there records at that crematorium to prove PACs body was brought there? Why the rush to cremate him so fast without a funeral? He was a larger than life figure for him not to have a funeral. At the crime scene,a white girl disclosed that she saw an helicopter take off after the shooting. Her story has been ignored and deliberately erased from history.

I love this interview. Tupac was such a passionate, compassionate, intelligent soul. Sometimes that kind of passion can lead to trouble, because not everyone cares to feel where you're coming from. Ice T, Shock G, Ed Gordon, and his teacher from the Balimore School of Arts were men who truly understood and appreciated Tupac. Each of them tried to put the Big brotherly/ fatherly wings around him and redirect him. His passion sometimes over powdered what they were trying to get him to see. He was still so young and was trying to figure out how to navigate this complicated world, that wasn't ready for his kind of intelligence. Imagine if he had listened to their guidance and was given to opportunity to grow into the wise man he so naturally demonstrated. That kind of passion could have brought so much good changes to this world. Those are usually the people this corrupt world tries to shut up. I feel Tupac could have been one of God's prophets. RIP 🙏✝️🌿🕊️❤️☮️
