I love the message he shares, sometimes acting tough could get you dead, so just stay humble and out of gangs.
OG said she was a criplette I haven’t heard that in years! 💯 real OG shit
Same that old school
Ice T is living proof that verbal skills are one of the most valuable skills to have. Dude's almost always fascinating to listen to.
Being articulate
Not lying! I've been in areas I 100% shouldn't have been, as a little ass white boy from maine😂 BUT, because I know how to talk to people & de-escalate possible hostile situations, I was ok ! Been more than once I walked by a group of dudes who were CLEARLY gangbangin, had one start questioning me & I instantly just shut that shit down & let em know I'm nobody important lol I'm not from here, not with any gang & not trying to get murdered!! They always just laugh & let me pass on by lol.
A lot of these gangbangers and gangsters know if you’re not in the life. They’ll generally leave you be if you’re a mere civilian. But if you start playing the part, when you’re a phony or a studio gangsters, that’s when you run into trouble with the real ones-just like Tupac found out.
And that's what makes him coolest of the 🆒😎
fr. I ran with gangs in high school but I wasn't a gangster. My ability to articulate and make people laugh without pissing people off kept me alive.
Aaaah, it’s Tookie! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

He's got some cuts though
One of his best Quotes is " Real people tend to Understand and Reapect real people"
Ice T is so honest in every interview he does. Now that is real. The fact that he admits to being scared at times is awesome. He could make a killing just going on speaking tours across the country about his life experience. One of my favorite stories he recollects is when he talked about how he and one of his boys decided they were going to start pimping and they had a couple of girls over to party and put them in the game and the next day when they got up the girls had robbed them!
😆.....you REMEMBER T telling that STORY
@@3for4PA Hell yeah when he said it so damn candidly I feel over laughing . But at the same time it was like damn this man is humble. A lot of "hard" brothers would never admit that
@@3for4PA I remember, I was there 🤣
There’s nothing wrong in admitting you’re scared. Have you not seen tookie? Would you not be scared either?
@@boons1132 I think that this is the point. The rational thing is to be scared and to want to leave as soon as possible. If you're not scared, then you have a vital piece of your internal survival senses missing. But, how many people actually admit this, instead of trying to keep up a tough guy image?
I like the way Ice-T kept it real,it reminded me of my teenage years when I was a young punk getting into shit I had no business in being
Like what?
Much respect to Ice-T for always keeping it 💯.
Met Ice T. and he was very down to earth.Didn't come across as a G,but you knew he was.
Met him between takes on his TV show down on Wall Street a few months back. Yup, very down to earth but 100% T. Has a very impressive and varied life.
Before Pac, E40, Too Short, Eazy E and NWA there was the original ICE T!!!
Yeah you know he was kinda lucky timing wise
In the sense that he kinda had a sweet spot almost all to himself for a couple years in the early early days
Like 85-87
If nwa would a came out BEFORE him he probably wouldn't have been as well known an popular
Ice T predates Short? I thought they would be same time.
@@Jpppppppp12 I guess you could say they did appx, but Ice T was already well known in some parts, he did the score for colors and breakin and couple other movie in the early 80’s

Ice-T's earliest music releases are from '83 & '84... Too Short I believe had his first releases in '85.
Love the old stories, this is street history told not by word of mouth but by someone at the place and time..nothing can fill in the blanks better than ICE T.. HE has a way of bringing you into the story with him and you appreciate it more knowing he tells it real, no BSing it to make it sound more exciting , he just remembers it and you feel it.. thanks for sharing.. its special ....
That's a major reason why I've always liked Ice-T. I'm not from his world at all; I'm from England. But, he was always an amazing storyteller, and the production on his tracks always made me feel that I was there or I was watching a movie. Totally immersive.
He's an amazing storyteller, and he's down to Earth and honest, he's really funny, and he doesn't glamorise the life.
Love that these guys have seen it all. Kept their heads up through the whole shit
Became successful.
Now he can actually chill and tell some interesting stories.
These stories are sitcom and soap opera worthy, but they lived it.
Much love and many more years of the good life to you all.

Ice-T has to be the best narrator of all time. He made the movie The Other Guys even more funnier. I’m not going to lie he’s so damn good. I was considering buying Car Shield. 😂😂🤣🤣
That's one of the things I love about Ice-T. If pretend tough-guy Steven Seagal was telling that story, he would never have admitted that he did the sensible thing and got out of there as fast as he could, and never would have admitted that he felt really scared. I love Ice.
Yeah Steven would have you believe Tookie wasn't a real gangsta and would have been a easy throw threw the window or across a table like he does with stunt men in his movies.
@@021881mt Speaking as martial artist that's also a bodybuilder and powerlifter, I can tell you, there's TON of unconditioned martial artist whether scrawny and frail or fat and sloppy that genuinely believe they could take a guy like Took or even worse his mentor Craig Monson. It's infuriating cause that's the same mindset that they teach their students
Well he was in the 10th grade so it sounds reasonable
Tookie would have got smoked by Steven Segal bro, his chit ain't fake, he would front kick him like he taught machida and silva
@@er8sr530 no way, bro. Seagal is a high Dan grade in Aikido; which I respect in that he put dedication into his beautiful artform of self-development.
However, Aikido is not a workable martial art, in the cage, as self-protection, or whatever; it only works on compliant partners. And that is what Seagal is the expert in. He has no confirmed cage, street, bouncing, miliary, or LEO experience using these techniques (unless you count his bs "lawman" fantasy). There is nothing new that he could have taught experienced mma combatants in order improve their game.

I could never take that gang life seriously, I grew up in the same hood as a lot of these dudes, but I was studying, to prepare myself to go to college, I wasn’t about to kick it with none of them. I was the only one on the block that went to and graduated from university. A lot of those dudes traded the option to have a good life for popularity & fast money, the crazy part is, don’t nobody even remember none of them dudes that were banging on my block 20+ yrs ago, when they got locked up, it was out of sight out of mind. These young kids don’t know nothing about any OG’s & don’t care honestly. So to me it’s like, what was it all for? It can’t be for the legacy when the young generation don’t know nothing & don’t care, so to me, it was all for nothing, just purely suicide.
