I'm grateful that I was able to see these guys several times, meet Gabe and Justin, and enjoy their music for 20 years now. Thanks for the memories, fellas.
I will never forget my introduction to this. It was in 2004 in a study hall class. My friend Ryan kinch pulled out plague soundscapes and I saw the cover and asked him what it was. He asked me if I wanted to listen. I asked him again what is this? And he said 23 minutes of pure insanity. I was hooked ever since. These guys put on one of the tightest live shows I have ever seen. I had the privilege of seeing them open for Poison the Well in San Antonio Texas at the white rabbit. Absolutely and utterly mind-blowing these guys. Rest in peace Gabe you were a fucking God
god I love this band. saw them 4 times throughout their career and it was mindblowing every single time. Damn, I wish I had the chance to see the neon version 😔RIP Gabe😔
When I met them I was amazed at how short they were. They always looked like giants on stage and I thought Justin was at least 7 feet. Well...maybe it's cause they were giants on stage.
So this is the last Locust show ever as far as I can find. Dang. Thanks for preserving history. If there is a full version of the footage that would rule if you could put it up some day :)
i always wanted to see The Locust live, mostly because Gabe was a hero to me. i tried to see him with Head Wound City one time, but he wasnt there for that show =/ never got to see him live.
watching Gabe play, he always looks effortless. like hes barely trying to play that fast or do all these complicated rhythms. like, if you watched this video on mute and just focused on Gabe, you could just imagine the entire song based on his playing.
I love this video! The opening run of four tracks stands out as being great. The late Gabe Serbian stands out as a mastermind on drums. His timing and intensity is uncanny. What a horrible loss for this genre of music.
I just found out within a 30m period that there was a new locust album coming out, that they had done some shows and then that fucking Gabe Serbian had died in april…. Fucking bullshit. My favorite drummer is fucking gone and so are the hopes of one last album from him. So fucking bullshit.
This is probably the best footage of their last run of shows. Gabe’s precision is incredible. He literally conducts the band.
RIP
I just found out about Gabe. Big F.
best drummer, best human being. love you gabe. there will never be another you
Totally ripping❤️
There was really a magical symbiosis...
Can't get enough of the locust

I was here!!! The openers were rad too. Can’t believe how lucky my wife and I were to see them.
Good call!
