To me, I think a big part of what makes this remix better than others is that you actually gave the background harmony its own prominent voice, instead of just focusing on the main melody and drowning out the harmony with huge symphonic flourishes and guitar distortion and all kinds of other fluff. A big part of what makes the original track so good is the way that the two parts of the song play off of one another, and I think that a ton of remixes completely miss the mark. Well done!
I appreciate the simple addition of new instruments (Maybe that's an understatement since RB was just Beep Beep Boop) and an updated style to make it more grand. To many people try to hard to make it Epic, and Dramatic, and it would never fit in a Pokémon game, and just ruins the feel of the OG music. You on the other hand, remained (And Remain) true to the Original Music. And added some flare and depth to it, while staying true to the Original. What I just said applies to all your remixes. So what I'm trying to say is, Good Job!!!

Sometimes there are ROM hacks that improve the experience significantly, like Sonic 3 Complete. It really depends on both your opinion and the game in question.
