I came across the cover of Gimme Shelter and absolutely loved. The is also a jewel of a track. Her raspy voice is full of pain & pathos. She is an incredible singer. Truly World Class.

This is one of my favorite songs of all time! I love Joanna- I used to see her in Overton Square or on Beale Street and she always remembered me and spoke to me. She was too small and pretty to have such a dynamic voice! Simply Awesome!

Saw her play in a long since, sadly defunct, rock'n'roll bar in Amarillo, TX in late spring or summer '88. She was absolutely incredible.
