It’s a great PC except for the fact that the Velcro that holds the shoulder straps in place wears out after a year or so of hard use. I had to sew my shoulder adjustment closed to stop it from slipping when I run
One of my coworkers have one. I life how you used the call out thing as an example. If you went back to security contracting over seas would you trust it over there? I've never used one so I can't speak on that design, but playing army for 10 years and seeing how trashed/dirty my IOTV got how well does the velcro work covered in dust/mud and so forth? I was looking at those a while back but found a good deal on a shellback banshee (that it turns out I'm too fat to fit LMFAO). I do contracting state side and it looks like it would be a good plate carrier for that purpose.
iv been using a slickster for work for about a year now, the only thing to complain about is after 12-16 hour shifts the shoulders start to bother you. unless your wearing some heavier clothing.
I tried one of this on, the were super comfortable. No shifting at all. My complaint was the cut of the plate, my shoulders and chest are wider than the average user and it didnt cover enough of me 😂.
recently bought some plates, was looking at the new TRex Arms AC1, ended up deciding to get The Slickster whenever I can find it available anywhere online!
They used to be located in Canada, but moved because of the hostile atmosphere towards any industry associated with firearms and better access to the American market.
You can also use AR500 Level 3+ elwp with this as well. I’ve had this carrier for about a year and use it for patrol. Solid product, thanks for the review!
@@sammysalha4140 Already sold the one I had for sale. Sorry friend. But there should be a restock soon-ish. If thats not quick enough for you, there is an American made knockoff on ebay, search FENRIR USA CARRIER at the time of this comment it's 120 dollars.
RMA Armor. They are NIJ cert. Level IV and $135 made in Iowa.
I used to own the SKD plates in the video. I just purchased RMA 1093s. Way more comfortable and lighter weight.
Are they also steel?
@@Tragic387 stay away from steel my man. RMA’s are ceramic.
@@takumif7056 the reason for my question exactly. Don’t want steel in any regards
@@Tragic387 I hear you boss man, steel plates are for the birds lol. RMA’s are ceramic though!

Nice little vest with great mobility. 🤜🤛

get the AXL structural shoulder pads, game changer.
Love my slickster. Really cool how scale able it is too.

Unless your lungs and heart are wider than the average, it covers enough

Is there a reason why you get black or grey plate carriers?

Great video very informative and thanks for sharing.
Ive been trying to get this pc since your first review and never can find it in stock 🙁
trex arms ac 1 is a good similar option too
Ivan are you on GAB yet? We all need to be! If so where can I find you?
Would you say a shooters/swimmers cut is better for this plate carrier, or sapi cut? thanks!
How thick is their level iv plate? Have never been able to find that info
Never in stock

I had to sew my shoulder adjustment shut because the hook and loop wore out after about a year with mine. But it’s comfy as heck
Do you like this better than the SKD PIG carrier?
Even though they aren't NIJ certified would you trust/run them yourself?
NIJ cert is not the end all be all. There are a ton of big name armor companies that do in-house testing and I'd trust my life with them.
@@yaddi3434 if you’re doing government work it’s preferable to have that cert for benefits reasons
love my slicksters
You care to sell one to a fellow American?

THEY. HAVE. EVERYTHING YOU NEED!
NAH NAH NAH NAH... NAH NAH NAH NAH!
Needs padding on shoulder straps but great otherwise. Good video.
Personally, I like to keep my PC tight ass loose.
Looks too small or Not very practical. The mags are in your arm pit!

It's made so you can put pouches on the front, he just choose to go without
... For some reason
This is what you get when you put a $5 belly band "holster" on a $30 concealed carrier, then multiple your costs 5x over to try to get a profit...
Ya not from fake t-Rex arms, this is something from people with actual experience
Hey thats not nice
🙄
Because being shot at is the only thing you need to know when sewing together a plate carrier.
