I'm still enjoying my grandpa aged -83 Honda XL600r in NW Montana.

Picked up a V85TT this spring. Loving it so far. Cool video man!

I have a DR 650 and it is one of the most confidence enspiring bikes i have ever owned for gravel. I really like mine on gravel but i have rode off road my whole life. Im sure that helps too. Haha

Nice safe riding lots don't know when to ride within their comfort level. Later find a good flat safe road to practice rear power slide, and rear brake slide. I think it would be fun for you. Don't do it alone.

I went from a KTM990 back to a DR, just a good simple reliable and capable bike…the KTM was my « dream bike » but after a couple years I was tired of the weight, complexity, parts cost…DR for the win

Think 120 temp winding road at high speed with tar snakes everywhere.

Loose gravel is still loose. I don't like it either. Speed kills. It's OK to slow down. 😀

Everytime someone rides a dr650 they are always impressed that it handles so well. I guess its because the bike is so ugly. Great honest review!

Nice video as usual. I know how you feel in dirt roads...😁Thanks for helping me decide on a 2020 v85 tt travel that I own for a month. A come from a bmw f800st and I never had a "adventure" bike and I had the some
"nervous"😅 moments offroad lately. But I'm loving it. In Europe there's a buzz about Chinese bikes and a new voge 900 dsx from loncin costs 8888€ in Portugal with all the electronic and 95 hp is tempting. I also checked the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and cf moto 450...I'm glad I choseed moto guzzi...Greetings from Portugal

The Himalayan is nice Off-road, but highway miles? I haven't tried a Chinese bike yet, but if getting parts for one is like my Amazon orders that get shipped (and lost) from China, I won't be buying one.
I put Shinko 705 tires on the V85TT though, and they make a good difference Off-road. They are slippery on tar snakes (road repair caulking) for some reason though.

Not many dirt bikes of your clamed 147 bikes. Dirt is not your thing yet. Take it slow I can hear the fear of the slight slide.

No offense man, but you were making way too many excuses in this video. Jeff can ride faster, more comfortably, and make tighter turns because he’s simply a better and more experienced dirt rider than you. The answer to all the times you asked, “how is he doing that?” is simply that he has more experience. I’d worry less about the minutiae and just get yourself on the dirt more often. It’s not the handle bar width or the ride modes. The rider makes the bike, not the other way around.
