Emily! You're back! Missed my weekly running shoe content. Sorry to hear that you were unwell. Praying for full recovery. I had to look it up! Thank you for the review. Very intriguing shoe! I learnt so much!
Glad you're doing better! Tried this shoe on at the Chicago marathon expo. Loved it. I need a darker colorway though -- that will get dirty too fast. When I wear out one of my long run shoes, this is likely going to be the replacement. Brooks uppers are the best, and this new midsole is so plush.
Another excellent review , Emily! ❤ Great to see you back and hope that you’re healing well. That is one of the best looking running shoes of the year. I’ve never been the biggest fan of Brooks, but I have to admit, they’re killing it in 2024! 🔥 Great T-shirt by the way 👌🏼. Go Libs! 🩵
Ran 6 easy miles today in glycerin max. After 1/2 mile I wanted to turn around and quit. I kept going and fell in love with the shoe. It’s comfortable with good pop in the forefoot
Glad your sinuses are doing better. I suffer from chronic non allergic rhinitis so as soon as the temps get into the 60s and there’s any type of breeze, managing my runny nose becomes a very annoying part of running. On my 1:49 half marathon in April, I only carried one gel with me, but five hankies.
Thank you! It’s a lot different than the Cielo x1 I’d say. No plate, heavier, more like a daily trainer. So depending on what you want to use it for it might be better. Cielo x1 will be better for long mileage/faster paces and the glycerin max will be better for long mileage /easier paces
Good to see you back Emily. This shoe looks like the love child of my last pair of Glycerin and my pair of Auroras! It looks huge and I couldn’t help noticing from the side angle how it accentuates the over pronation in your right foot. Did you feel there was any instability? I like my NB 1080 v13 for my long runs but am totally uninspired by them when I run in them….do you think this is a better option? Or should I go for the More 4? Would value your opinion as always.
I would go with these over the more v4! I do overpronate (as I do in most shoes) but I don’t find them to be particularly unstable. I really enjoy running in them
This shoe was way to wide for my narrow feet. It was also to much shoe for me (especially is the forefoot). It felt really weird when I was trying it in store. Got the Glideride Max instead.
No I would absolutely get it again. I could never live with what I had going on. I have some minor flare ups still here and there but nowhere even close to as bad as what it was!
I am 6’1 210 lbs and have just decided to get into max cushion and I am completely in love with ASICS superblast 2 . Foam doesn’t sink too much at all and light for how much cushioning there is. I have not tried this shoe but have tried the puma mag max and it is too heavy to pick up the pace. It is for my size and running style , just for easy very slow recovery…
I sure hope it does more than 200 miles. I have some shoes with over 2000 km. I know some shoes will do less. But 400 miles would not be too ask for in this kind of shoe. And I think it will easily make 400. So why would Emily say it does at least 200?
Its crazy to think $200 is resonable price for shoe with only one use case scenario - recovery. There is so much better options for the price and cheaper I dont know why but "super" is making its way to every shoe category- there is super recovery shoe with its super price tag - because non suoer recovery wont do it in 2024 😅
Welcome back! Just finished running Chicago Marathon, now I’m on the couch, watching your latest video as I recover. Life is good.
Love this!!! Congrats on the finish!!!
Same, but after the London Royal Parks Half Marathon.
@@AlaiNaseer congrats to you for your finish was well!!!
Starting running in 1976. This is one of my all time favorites.

She’s back!! Happy to see you back on the way up, another great video! ❤😎
Love this review! I just purchased these and cant wait to take them out for an easy run later today!
Was waiting for you to review this shoe. Great shoe. Glad to hear you doing better!!
The review I’ve been waiting for. Saw other reviews, but still anticipated yours.

Would love to see you rank/compare max cushion shoes. Glycerin Max, NB More V5, Asics gel nimbus

Amazing shoe. Brooks is on a roll this year & I hope they keep it up. This shoe felt great on my 5K.
Thanks for the always good reviews 👌🇳🇱🫶
Glad you are doing okay. And yes Emily, YOU are amazing 😂. Stay cool 😎. Hi Pretty Ruby 💕🐕🐾
I wish they’d make the ghost max 2 look half as cool as this!
Glad you’re slowly on the mend!
Hell, it’s good to have you back Emily. Cool shades - what are they?
Glad to see you back!
good to have you back!
Glad you are back.
Welcome back!! Glad to hear your feeling better.
I just ordered a pair yesterday, excited to try them out!
Been waiting for your review of this shoe! Is it better than the Hoka Cielo X1? I love the Cielo X1. TY! Glad to hear you are better.

Welcome Back !!!!
I love my Brooks Glycerin Max.
I just received it and today I just ran a half marathon. So I will use them on Wednesday next week for my first recovery run of 8km 😊
6:27 that rocker is so nice
Welcome back!

how about GlideRide Max and Glycerin Max in comparison
Glycerin max feels wayyyy cushier
Great review! As usual. Glad to see Brooks catching up. I stick to NB ! 50 bucks less...
I love NB as well…. This is in a different league than the NB MORE V5…..
I bought them but had to send them back as i had issues with the heel lock 😢
Darn!
Great review interesting shoe glad you are felling better and hi sweet ruby
This shoe was way to wide for my narrow feet. It was also to much shoe for me (especially is the forefoot). It felt really weird when I was trying it in store. Got the Glideride Max instead.
How did the procedure go? I’m debating to do it. Would you do again? Or just live with what you had?
No I would absolutely get it again. I could never live with what I had going on. I have some minor flare ups still here and there but nowhere even close to as bad as what it was!
My favorite shoe over alphafly 3 adios pro 3 asic metaspeed sky and edge, Saucony pro 3, NB 1080 and brooks glycerin.
I almost bought these yesterday as a local retailer was selling them for 160, because apparently nobody is buying them… hmmmm 🤔. but I stayed away
Which store? Help the running community out so I could get online! 😄
Same. I wasn’t a fan. Cushion was great but just too darn heavy!
Haven't heard that they are flying off the shelves here, fake news
@@LACop-10-97weight?
I need this in green.
I have taken up race walking, as well as my running. Ever thought about including power or race walking into your work outs?
I’d consider it!
Great video, would you recommend these shoes for bigger runner
Yes!!
I am 6’1 210 lbs and have just decided to get into max cushion and I am completely in love with ASICS superblast 2 . Foam doesn’t sink too much at all and light for how much cushioning there is. I think these shoes feels great. The weight isnt realöy that noticeable. I mostly use tyem for recovery/long runs.
Great review ❤ any thoughts what you would compare it to?
Probably the superblast!
Is it Asics GRM alternate?
Yes but they’re a little different. This one is going to feel a little more energetic, but it’s heavier feeling
@@RunLikeHeller Which one is more versatile between them?
Would you say these run the same sizes as an on cloud?
They’re both true to size but don’t fit exactly the same. On shoes (most of them) are maybe a little more narrow
Is it good to run a Marathon with a 6 min pace?
Probably not meant for that as it’s pretty heavy
@@RunLikeHeller Thanks a lot!!
Good for an ultra marathon?? (On a flat route)??
I definitely think so
Do you like this one the Balos for long runs?
Both are great! Balos is much lighter
I sure hope it does more than 200 miles.
I have some shoes with over 2000 km. I know some shoes will do less. But 400 miles would not be too ask for in this kind of shoe. And I think it will easily make 400.
So why would Emily say it does at least 200?
Yes lol I think it’ll do 400+ honestly I was just saying that it’ll do way more than 200 for the 200 dollar price tag
I found that I had to work harder to overcome the forefoot in this shoe.
I felt like I had to run harder to get this shoe to work
That’s understandable!
It’s not a running shoe.. it’s a jogging/walking shoe,
I found them too wide and too heavy. Also no gusseted tongue for $200?????
Its crazy to think $200 is resonable price for shoe with only one use case scenario - recovery. There is so much better options for the price and cheaper

Massively gigantic cruise ships on your feet. I will keep them. 😊
I tried to like them, but those side walls irritate my arch - even with sizing up a full size!
Nice foam, too wide for my foot.
