  • I have had the Fox Coilovers and Fox shocks on the F150 for a few months and they are great. The Fox coilovers gave my truck 2 inches in the front and the fox 2.0 shocks gave about an inch in the back. The fox shocks performance is great. Fox suspension upgrades are great for off-roading.

    I hate it when the bed of the truck jumps up and down after hitting a bump. I will try these Fox shocks on my 2022 f150 for sure.

    Good video clip. I'm seriously considering Fox2.0 shocks for my (lifted) GMC Savana Vans.
    How does it drive on Freeway? is it better on daily 70mph drive on freeway than the stock?

    • @RichardFredrickson
      @RichardFredrickson  2 роки тому

      So much better. A lot less body roll and when you hit bumps the truck eats them instead of doing that swishy bounce down the road.

    Remove the sway bar and enjoy how smooth it is after that! Best thing I did after the lift and shocks

      Coming down the mountain on I-70 can be fast and curvey and I don't want to flip... would that cause issues?

    • @prestont5769

      I drive 85-90mph on the highways here in wyoming and haven’t had any issues. The aftermarket shocks I think keep everything nice and stiff. Did the same with my Tacoma before and it was also awesome with no issues.

      @@RichardFredrickson Keep in mind if you get into an accident you could be held legally liable or refused compensation for removing a sway bar. As a mechanic I would advise AGAINST this unless it is for offload use only.

      @@RichardFredrickson do a sway bar disconnect kit instead. Its basically new end links and instead of bolting to the sway bar they use a giant pin. You turn the wheel, pull the pin, turn it the other way (for clearance) pull the pin on the other side and its disconnected.

      Got my Fox 2.0 setup installed in the spring, with some 35x11.5r20 Cooper Rugged Trek (E Rated) and it has been phenomenal. I just got my first tire rotation @ 5k miles. I have taken them through some semi - thick mud pits, some hill climbs, trail rides, wash board roads, blown out logging trails, and a decent bit of highway. Looking forward to seeing what they will do with a couple feet of snow on the ground. Coming from a 3/4 ton to a 1/2 ton, I love how it stiffened up the ride. Cornering is much smoother, especially without the body roll at higher speed. Hauled a couple thousand pounds of oak logs in the bed, and handled just fine. Pulled a 9k lb camper through the mountains like it was nothing. Really liking this setup. Average mpg went from 22 to 15, although I got 19.5 yesterday driving 82 miles round trip (mainly highway, through a few small towns). Liking the Fox 2.0 coil overs and the compliments I get.

    Good to hear they worked for you. I went with the Bilstien 6112 front / 5160 rear for the F150, mostly because of cost and that the fronts are 2.5 inch along with the external reservoir in the rear. My review would be the same as yours with the Fox. Almost like Ford should have made the trucks this way.

      @North jersey Kev I did get the Eibach Pro-Truck Coilover Stage 2R installed. It is an improvement over factory suspension. The rear shocks are perfect and exactly what I was going for. The front shocks are a bit firm. I am extremely picky and was looking for a specific setup. I achieved the goal of losing body roll when cornering over low speed bumps (driveways, speed bumps etc). That was really important to me. Acceleration over bumps is great over all. They perform well under load. The part that is a bit form up front is specifically regarding rebound. If I could dial out some more of the harsh ca roads they would be perfect. Can’t have it all unfortunately. I think I’ll be looking at fox next. I was afraid they would be too soft.
