For the mgp, use your moogle tomes from the current event! 30 of these for 50k mgp.
If you want to grind the mgp:
- Basic challenge log for Saucer + fashion report is 75k per week.
- Get your cactpot tickets for the weekly draw
- Play the minipot daily
- Do GATEs
(- Maybe the stupid book from the Idyllshire brat)
You can ask your fc to put up the +mgp action or get the VIP tickets from your squadron missions

On getting to level 50 if its just a level requirement note that getting to level 50 is insanely easy if you are playing as a new player on Dynamis. Just do roulette for like 3-4 days plus msq.
You have to finish the ultimate weapon quest though so it does require story
