I was at an RV show recently and found out that Steele Rubber Products makes that mounding in black only. Just thought I would pass that on. Love your channel!

Wow I would love to have some for my camper but I just read that you don't sale it. 🙁
We don't sell our components, that is true. But an RV roof really isn't something I would suggest someone tackle. Most have realized what it takes for them to out on...costs of materials and their time...couples with not a complete professional roof...they should've just had us install it.

Was the color choice of the Insert Trim for esthetical or functional reasons?

Rubber seals? Or do.ypu mean insert trim. I buy the 1 inch insert trim. Then it bulbs out and rolls the rain into the gutter.

I need to ask a couple of things, my old molding is 1 inch wide when flat,the opening (top) is 5/8 what would you order? Steele Rubber sent me samples and none of them fit as good as your. another question where else can you buy that type of molding that you have other than steel rubber?
Is this to fit in or cap over? Measure the track. Those are smaker ID. The ones that fit in the gutter are 1 inch.
Cap over is what I want, I have a class C front bunk overhang and I want to put new inserts in, I have a very small leak somewhere on the passenger side.
Also what is Smaker ID ?
Typo..track ID means inside dimensions. Leaks could be coming from the lights, could be the screws to the corner molding. If you replace the corner molding like you want to, you should backcourt every screw a little bit and swab a dab if caulking on the head of the screw. Take a few out and see if the shank is rusty. Also, make sure the corner molding is caulked well, especially in the bottom, because that's where the water hits.
It’s corner insert trim with the opening on the front of the bunk that wraps around top to bottom.
Trim is 1-1/4 wide with an inside opening (insert) 1 inch with top opening at 5/8. When you flatten the old insert it’s 1 inch. I was going to do everything you said but if you didn’t buy the Steele inserts where did you get the ones you used ?
Ok well how do you make sure you get the correct width? My rails are just measure 7/8" as the groove width and 5/8" inner slot width. You can get 3/4", 7/8" and 1" wide trim but which one do I get. Is 7/8" nominal 1" trim with it bowed in the middle or what?
We use 1 inch. It should bulb out which will cause the rain to follow into the gutter. It's a water adhesion principal.

@Toledo’s LivingLife I have to buy 2 miles of it at a time. I do t know where to buy a small quantity for one camper. We don't sell anything. We are a service center only. AP products does have some insert trim. Its called RV vinyl insert trim...if you search online

What is the name of the trim they usually use for the rv? I need to replace mine. I don't think I want to use the super expensive one right now.

I don't know kw the exact name without looking it up, but it's called a vinyl insert trim. There are some you can search o line for. I know AP products make a similar one. When you search, click on the image search. It's easier
Where can you buy that in white? All I can find is the cheap stuff. Or who makes it? Appreciate the assistance.

What size is that black insert moulding? You linked 7/8". When I measure my track it's 7/8" but it seems like most still use 1". I just want to make sure it's going to be a nice tight fit. Thanks and I have learned a lot from your videos.

@@garydelangis2775 Gary we don't sell anything ... We are just a service center. You can try some local commercial roofing companies to see if they have some extra hanging around. Otherwise you'd have to go to a local commercial flat roof supply house.

@Gary Delangis we don't sell anything because then we have to collect tax. That's another bag of worms we don't want to get into. We'd have to send sales tax money to all the different states. Sorry my friend...

We did have a bit of sticker shock but in the long run its worth it. It's a better product to keep coaches even more watertight and since it's not a increase coach by coach we just sucked it up and got 5 years worth...lol. we want to offer the best products to our customers because these are too expensive to do twice. Folks expect professional service and professional grade material. We take their trust seriously and don't cut corners. I've a a few coaches overstay their welcome with problem after problem but we still stay in track to correct them and do a quality job. Not necessarily a fast job....lol. thanks for watching.
