Not in my channel. I do show a weld but I don't go into detail about it. Someone else may have one uploaded. I have done commercial work for 35 years....what kept us busy was the poor quality...get done and get out attitude. That said I have trained every person who welds here and the process I do it in. So just be mindful of what your watching may a quick Willie video that may not last.
@@RVROOFINSTALL thanks for the quick reply so there's foam underneath the plywood what holds the roof from bowing down is there some cross members or some steel frame that runs from one wall to another?
Some have some aluminum supports. Some don't. If you are DIYing you'll find out when you open it up . There a few different designs from manufacturer to manufacturer.
@@RVROOFINSTALL so I just opened mine up and basically it has aluminum skin that's covering the steel 1 1/2 rectangle tubing. This one's a very similar to the one you have you're working on mine's a 1993 29 ft four winds. About half of the front the plywood is all delaminating just like in this video. Today I spent probably a couple hours taking screws out of the roof vents and screws out of the side tracks it looks like to me they folded the aluminum over the corners on the sides and stapled the aluminum and then covered the seam with that molding. This should be a fun job I'm really enjoying working on my motorhome. I got a really good deal on it it only has 23,000 miles on it and I paid $1,000 for it and I just also got everything working I think I got pretty lucky. Had to clean the carburetor out on the Owen generator. When I pulled the air cleaner off the engine airbox looks like some kind of rodent made a nest in there. Also had a couple of codes on the engine one was the EGR valve was stuck and also the engine coolant sensor was out of range but that's pretty much it. I'm going to probably have to redo the brakes on it even though the pads are hardly wore down the brake calipers we're sticking. We're also going to take the carpet out and probably do some click lock flooring. I found the original invoice and they paid $36,236.00. the engine is a fuel injected 460 big block Ford. It's probably going to get like 8 miles to the gallon.
@@ronbown3836 I'm glad for you friend. If you got the aptitude and know how... Yes you got a good deal. Change the brake fluid, in fact I'd change all the fluids, antifreeze, oil and diff oil. It's been sitting for a while. Maybe run some seafoam through it to clean out the injectors. Hopefully you will get more than 8 mog. You'll get it together.
Oh ok, do you sell them COD by any chance? What would you say the benefits are to adding the curb compared to installing the vents flush with the roof?
I apologize if you said it and I didn't hear, but what kind of roof did you put back down. Was it it pvc or TPO , I know it wasn't rubber because of what you said about the 100 lb roller. Nice job. Thanks
We install commercial grade TPO. It is 60 mil thick structured. It's the same exact material.they use on hotels, office bldgs, restaurants.... Thanks for watching!
The manufacturers buy truckloads of whatever they can the cheapest. May be EPDM rubber this month and TPO next. Both membranes are low budget cheap of the cheapest. We install commercial roofs on the RVs. Thanks for watching. Give a call Monday 423-475-7663.
Thank you. I am not sure I'd have to look up the work order. But we are generally less expensive than an RV center.
Thanks for sharing your professional knowledge. Is there a video available explaining the heat welding process?

We shy away from pricing on social media....but we are less than an RV center for sure. Thanks for watching!
What kind of roof material is this
Nice job ,what does something like that cost...
What kind of epoxy do you use
We use different epoxies what are you referring to?
RV ROOF INSTALL the epoxy for the roof to foam
@@jesslooking4truth274 use 3m90 spray adhesive. You can get it at Home Depot or Lowe's
RV ROOF INSTALL thank you so much
How do you make the curbs that all the fans and such are up on, how tall are they?
All those components bare proprietary to us. Thanks for watching!
Oh ok, do you sell them COD by any chance? What would you say the benefits are to adding the curb compared to installing the vents flush with the roof?
@@janajones7392 No, we do not sell anything. Curbs are how a flat low slope roof functions. The divert water from protrusions.
what did you use for the leveler? I have a low spot after I put my new plywood up. Would like to fill / level it if I could.
Use a self leveling product even Dicor self leveling lap sealant woukd work. We use Sika. It's a urethane product.
Use a uretethane self leveling caulk. Sika will work.
