- thing is, i have an aptitude for creativity, not gaming. i can use virtual worlds to make things i deem pretty, so precision clicking is never enjoyable, i was more into arcane odyssey for it's creative roleplaying features, but the fact that pvp is enabled kind of rots the game and community

nah in general the punishing factor of AO turns off people who dont like feeling pressure or stress in a game
like the punishing factors i.e losing 350 galleons when you die, losing fame/bounty etc etc

its not heart problems its just anxiety when you play arcane since anything can happen and it'll cost a lot
Thats ansiety... i have it too, it helps on some aspects, but in others is not good for you.
its adrenaline, pretty normal and happens to people are arent really used to this type of thing
I had it but now I practice calm breathing before fights and now even if I'm jumped I can remain focused

god this is SO relatable, with the feeling fine against NPCs but heart starts beating when fighting against players and point about the player kills
Honestly the thing about pvp is so true, I have 1k+ Player kills across all slots. But the main thing that happens NOW in pvp is either A: you run and get chased down/insulted constantly. B: you fight back and either win or lose, with adrenaline pumpin. Or C: Adrenaline is pumping while someone is exploding you dealing 500+ damage per hit. AO pvp is hella stressfull, the main ways to avoid it is log out when seeing high pk players (ratio Player kills to the amount of hours to measure their skill) or B, don't be noticable. Sadly, this doesn't change the fact jerks are all over the place on AO

I feel you perhaps not on the part were you get jumped for popularity but the part were you get jumped for no reason . I never fightback since it is useless cuz 90% of the time they deplete your health super fast. I had to leave my clan because I felt guilty ruining their infamy.
Oh and I forgot to add one thing I DONT CARE ABOUT SPIRIT WEAPONS NOR KINGDOM ALLIGHMENT ADD PVP TOGGLE NOW

I agree with everything you said, in my own opinion I use to get that adrenaline burst when I would get into PvP fights but that is not the case anymore. Hopefully you find a new game to make your channel go farther than you can dream of.
I always keep love potions right on hand, if I get hunted I just throw one at them and boom, no more damage for the next five minutes :)
I feel like your channel fills a rather unique niche in the ao community - most of ao UA-cam is flooded with pvp related content - but said pvp gets in the way of your kind of channel, I understand.
I feel like a private militia could still possibly help if you make it clear that it is just there to keep you safe during recording and is not a dedicated clan that does normal clan stuff. They're still getting their edgy pvp out of it and they're getting it by protecting a beloved content creator. Hell, I'd even consider protecting you myself if I wasn't in my own clan.
But, I know that isn't what you really want. At the end of the day, arcane odyssey is not the right kind of climate in its current state - pvp rots a lot of aspects of this game to their core, and that's coming from someone who actually enjoys the thrill of pvping, helping friends with gankers and such.

I share your opinion on the PVP aspects of AO. Whenever I am going to fight any player, my hands immediately get drenched in sweat from sheer adrenaline. It is definitely too sudden a lot of times, and it's pretty punishing. I'm also unsure why usernames are left completely revealed ingame. It definitely gives UA-camrs and other celebs a pretty big target on their back for people who wanna just hunt for the giggles. If perhaps Vetex made only the character names visible in the list, it could help mitigate the hunting a bit because then they have to actually use their brain to deduct who they're trying to hunt. I don't know a foolproof solution to solve this issue, and ultimately yes, you do have to unfortunately get PKs in order to be intimidating enough to other players to make them not hunt you frequently. Wow I wrote a lot again, oops. Long story short, I agree with most, if not practically all the points you made in this video. PVP definitely should be looked at a bit more and perhaps be reworked to allow fights to be a bit more gradual, instead of getting ambushed by a party of 5 combative children for being semi-popular. Some other solutions are to throw love potions at the hunters so they physically can't attack you for a period of time, allowing you to wait for the combat icon to go away and server hop. Or you could use alt accounts to show off different things and keep the screen zoomed in enough to not reveal the username.
Wanted to separate this so it wasn't a headache to read, however since you have an aptitude for creativity, I do also suggest you could perhaps make art of Arcane Odyssey.
