It's only confusing if you make it confusing. There's no right or wring way to do any of it. If you'd rather just write or draw, just write or draw. If you'd rather stick stuff on the page, go for it. Some people prefer photos, others prefer paint. Just do whatever takes your fancy.
Hahahahaha, your drawing of your waking up hair cracked me up. My hair looks like that when I wake up too!! I love your idea of printing the months and adding highlights of those months. Great flip through (still chuckling over your wake up hair picture). Thanks for sharing.
Oh my gosh I'm a total stalker...I love watching your videos!! I love the idea of the index in the beginning as well as the washi and the tags that's a really great idea!! I loved looking at your fauxbonichi!! Thank you for sharing!!
That's OK, I stalk you back LOL. I'm enjoying finding odd little things to do differently than everyone else. And you can literally change it every month! I love the format, it's so much fun.
Hi I just wanted to say that for my hobonichi style book I use an Arles Castelli notebook which I got from W.H. Smiths. It has 400 pages which should be about right. The paper quality is not great but I use coloured pencils for drawing. You can buy a refill for the notebook from the Castelli website and you can choose between lined or plain paper. I like it. I write with a Pilot Frixon Rollerball pen and there is only a little ghosting. It took a long time to find a notebook with enough pages. Give it a try.
I was just looking at those the other day! The only reason I didn't get one was because they didn't have a grid refill, but I did wonder if the paperchase grid would fit in it. I didn't realise the notebooks were also 400 pages - looks like it probably would fit. Does it have pockets inside or anything or is it just plain? Thanks for the tip.
Yes it does have pockets where the refills fit like the cover you made. I use them for storage of stickers etc. I too would like a grid pattern on the pages but I couldn't find anything like that, and I don't want to order from America. Nice to speak to you.
JantyTopaz The MiquelRius ones like mine and Vicky's are available in Paperchase, but not all stores stock them. The A6 are on the website, but not the A5 currently. They told me to ring customer services to find out which stores had them in stock and order direct.
Can you please do a video explaining what made you start journaling in the first place? What need does journaling meet? What do you get out of it, personally and emotionally? What happens if you DON'T journal? Have you always journaled? I hope you don't think this is intrusive or weird! It's just that when I watch your like this one, I feel as though I am watching a very personal process, and I want to understand it! Also, on a selfish note, I would like to get back into journaling. For years, I used to write in a diary, but I have gotten out of the habit. I could use some inspiration! If you have already done something like this, could you please link to it? Thanks!
I have talked about this in previous videos, but I can put it on my list to do again :) Basically, arty/journalling family = enablers! I did cover some questions in my Journal tag video l 20 Questions Art Journal Tag - Rhomany: ua-cam.com/video/l20WIjs9S3g/v-deo.html
Loved it! I like the quotes you've written, especially "Karma's a bitch especially if you're one " and "If Frodo could bring the Ring to Mordor, you can wake up on a Monday morning!" PS: Love watching your videos! Keep them coming! PPS:Could you do a video recap of what current journals do you use and for what purposes? If I recall you have Filofaxes, Midoris/Fauxdoris and Hobonichi XD
Love your style! And thanks for all the work you do to help animals.
Thank you 😊
I am rewatching your & MissVickybee videos. I really love the miquelrius notebook. Thank you so much for sharing how to diy this style of journaling.
Glad you're enjoying it :) It's fun, even I'm managing to keep it going every day!
The index idea for major events and weeks is fantastic!
Never occurred to me to just write them on the monthly calendar LOL
I am so lost with all of this, stickers, tape etc I am sure journaling was never this confusing :)

Your hobo is so cute! Love the set up and your drawings! TFS!
Thanks! It's a lot of fun.

At least now it only takes a few minutes to fix when I wake up looking like I stuck my finger in a socket! Thanks for watching.
You did a great job! I love it! :-)
Thank you :)

JantyTopaz Thanks I will ring Paperchase to enquire about their availability. They may stock more if they think there is more demand.
