I don't think I will be able to keep up with it on a daily basis right now, but its definitely something I'll probably get into in the future :) I love your vids, keep 'em coming!
Isn't it? It stands out too, so no need to keep a complicated log of migraines, I can just count the skulls! I thought of having a scale of 1 to 10 LOL
oh my goodness I was eating chips and screamed when you mentioned me!!! Hahhaha I love your set up!! It looks wonderful! I watched it twice and got some ideas! xo
Haha! Classy bird you are :p I'm enjoying this format, it's totally no pressure. Instead of writing about 'important' stuff you can just scribble down odd little things. It's cool.
Great video. Thank you. The exact black A5 grid book that the brill MissVickyBee uses can be found at Paperchase for a tenner. I have one- it's 300 pages I think. Paper not as refined as the Hobonichi or the MD notebook and doesn't take fountain pen/inks as well but still great value
Thank you! I thought it might be as they both seem to be the miquelrius ones, but our Paperchase hasn't got them and they only have the a6 size online.
I love this even better than the Miquelerius, because I want to put it in a Filo Flex that I plan to hack into Midori style, so this thinner version is perfect. Thanks for sharing!
The Artful Journey I thought I saw someone had put the MR into a flex. But yes, this one is thinner and would fit alongside a planner or whatever if that's what you wanted.
Awesome! I love your set up! After seeing vicki' s first video a couple of weeks ago I went out and bought the journal she uses. It's definitely a chunky thing. I did my layout like vicki' s minus the moon phases and the monthly calendar. My problem is that I can't draw so there's a lot of stick people happening. Lol:) I like it though. I would still like to get an actual hobonichi. I actually prefer a smaller size. My days just don't seem busy enough for all this space. I like how you added the lines down the sides and bottom. I might try that. TFS:)
It's not really about beinb busy, just capturing little snippets. I've not had a busy day but I wrote about the puddle jumping boy and my dogs and then I drew myself shooting this youtube video. Even the pretty bird you saw out the window when you were washing the dishes this morning is fodder for this kind of journalling.
Loved your set up, I'm a big movie and book fan so I know there will be quite a few reviews in mine too. I saw vicky's set up and ordered one from B&N ( I live uk) cost around £7 p+p which I thought was fine as I know this book vicky showed will last a couple of years. I too have sort of fallen out of love with my midori and really haven't bonded with it. I'm new to graph paper but I can't wait for it to arrive. love your stickers too I may need to look for those. I have a few different sets of the heeda ones coming from etsy. I'm hoping when I receive my B&N book and been in it a few weeks I may be brave enough to do a video.
I was trying to see if I could order form B&N but it wouldn't let me estimate shipping. That's pretty good though. I'm assured we can actually get them in Paperchase, they're the Miquelrius brand. But they only have the A6 in the online shop, you have to go local apparently. I absolutely loved my midori for my journal when I first got it, but I've been using it as a planner instead for the last couple of months. I love working on graph paper. Somehow it's easier to ignore the lines if you want to than it is on lined paper. But you still have the structure there if you need it.
I love Kawaii stuff and chunky books. I think I *need* one of these! Maybe next month or the month after, I have spent way too much on stationery this month :( Need to earn more money lol! Are they pre-dated or can you fill that in? I love the doodle of you hanging your nets.
The A5 grid book I have now like MissVickybee's you can get from Paperchase for £9 or £7 for the A6 and it's just a complete grid paper. The Hobonichi itself is dated and you can only get the English one in A6. This one is the MD Midori from the Journal Shop, nicer paper, borders and stuff but no dates, £13.
Yes, it probably would, though you might nobly be able to have this one. I've used a pocket moleskine + thin moleskin chairs and the thin ones always get pushed out. I suspect this would happen with the MD. But yes, it's only about 1/4 inch thick, if that, but 176 pages. In weight it's somewhere between the lightweight and the plain grid paper, but it's very sturdy.
I just use whatever I hear that day that I like, often from something i've read of just off Facebook. If I repost a quote on Facebook it will probably make it into my journal.
This is the book MissVickeybee uses. They have over 500 pages. I've been buying them for years--I love them. I have them in blue, red and black. The covers have gotten thinner over the years but the paper is great...especially for the price. I LOVE MissVickybee too! www.barnesandnoble.com/p/home-gift-black-soft-bound-medium-journal/12601534
I really really hope you like the chunky little guy!! I LOVE it and I really hope that you get just as much joy out of him too!!
I
Very enjoyable to watch, thanks for showing us your hobonichi!
Thank you. I'm surprised you don't have one, it seems like your sort of thing?
I don't think I will be able to keep up with it on a daily basis right now, but its definitely something I'll probably get into in the future :) I love your vids, keep 'em coming!
Thanks for sharing. I'm working on my Fauxbonichi now. I love the skeleton washi for a migraine, it fits perfectly!!

Hi! New subbie and I found you from Artmingle's channel. I have throughly enjoyed your share of Hobonichi! I am very excited to try it! Tfs :)
Glad you could join us, have fun with yours!

Are you hand writing the date by hand or using a stencil it looks so great and perfect. What is your spacing for the top of your pages?
I wrote those by hand. The spacing is 4 | 7 | 2 and 4 deep, the same as on the Hobonichi.
Do you think this misprint notebook would fit in my a5 size fauxdori?
Yes, it probably would, though you might nobly be able to have this one. I've used a pocket moleskine + thin moleskin chairs and the thin ones always get pushed out. Teehee watching older videos... I love Chibi Rhomany :) We should all chibi ourselves... shortcut to world peace (see what I did there?)
Forgot where do you find your quotes.
