A lot of these programs can seem scary to get into and being discouraged after lack of progress kills the creative vibe for me. I’m sure everyone would want to know your thought process on it all with how well spoken and easy to understand you are.

I knew it was going to be good when you instructed to right click and launch the program as an admin. ❤️The detailed instructions, providing the keyboard shortcuts, setting up the inputs, outputs, etc...🤯I learned so much and I'm so encouraged to learn more. Thank you Bro, My Mac died a couple of years ago and some of my gusto went with it. I turned my attention to composition with Finale and teaching piano and left recording alone. Then the Pro Tools bug bit me and I am back. Appreciate you. Brotha Doug
god dude never have i needed a tutorial more but in 2020 i have more options than shown here but i still was able to get it down if you havent already since i am at this moment just subscribing please do more tutorials first person ive been able to get this level of success from that is working from a PC as well...almost all of these tutorials are for mac and yeah man fuck yeah haha, tryna drop tracks dropped the money on the program and got hit with vocals coming outta one here no idea where to start to add effects or mixing, keep going!!

@@UnitedDestinyEntertainment it's definetly different, especially cause I'm not coming from FL studio or reaper or anything like that. I'm coming from MPC 2.9 and that one is straight forward. Pro tools is not lol but so far I'm loving it cause you have to work for everything in it, like creating a bus just to get head phones to work with it and I knew it was going go be a learning process but I'm going to stick with it.

Hi. I have a mac book pro with Sierra 10.12.6 on it. I tried updating to Catalina 10.15.3 for the pro tools 2020.5; The compatibility chart from Avid said that these two are compatible. When trying to install Catalina 10.15.3 on my mac book pro it says: This software is not supported on this system. Then someone suggested I install Mojave. I looked at the compatibility chart and it said that Mojave 10.14.6 is compatible with Pro tools 2020.5; When I tried to install that one it came back and said the same thing: This software is not supported on your system. -- I have 461 Gb of space; 8 Gb of Ram; 2.8 GHz i7 chip. Does anyone have a fix for this so I can get either Catalina 10.15.3 or Mojave 10.14.6 installed on this Macbook Pro?
Okay great tutorial but a very, very basic question. After I create or rather attempt to create a session, Protools First shutsdown after loading the 'edit window'.
My playback engine doesn’t give me an option to change it and it says windows audio device. I have a Scarlett 2i2 and cannot select it as the playback engine. PLEASE HELP!
Make sure your computer audio isn’t using it. Change your computer audio sound to something other than your scarlet. You can try other USB ports and restart as well
Yes considering your interface has a mic and guitar input or two inputs in general. You can arm both tracks. Make sure both inputs are engaged and turned up on your interface. Inside protools on track one set it to input one and on track to input 2 and arm both of them and record away!!!
No offense, but what has sample rate to do with dynamic range? Sample rate = audio bandwidth whereas your dynamic range is defined by bit depth. There is no sweet spot to be found with sample rate either. Cheers

hey I’ve been trying to record but when I’m done recording I wanna hear the audio but there’s no audio. All the audio levels are working they are going up and down and also the volume level on the top right, doesn’t go up and down while the other ones work.

Bit Depth affects dynamic range. Ssample rate affects frequency reaponse.

Does latency have a lot to do with how much ram you have and how fast your computer is? I have 64gb ram, 2.5tb ssd, and core i7 10th gen.

You have to have in’s and out put setup. Add a master track. Do you see the wave file?
