This New OLED TV Measures BRIGHTER than LG's & Sony's Brightest OLEDs!

- Опубліковано 3 жов 2024
- We review the Panasonic LZ2000 OLED TV, whose latest-generation OLED.EX panel & additional heat dissipation layer allowed the company to drive the OLED to be even brighter than the LG G2 & the Sony A95K QD-OLED up to 50% window size.
Our review sample is the 65-inch Panasonic TX-65LZ2000B which is the UK 3-pin-plug version. The Panasonic LZ2000 is also available in 55-inch (model number TX-55LZ2000) and 77-inch (TX-77LZ2000) screen sizes.

I still have two Panasonic plasma TVs. Really wish they’d come back to the US market.
they left the Australian market too.
@@marklabbett2605 yep and my Panasonic plasma died :(
Same
@@showtekk2607 my pana from 2008 still kicking, just a little fan noise
VT60 here 😁
We need that side comparison next to the A95k s95b and G2 , to see how the Panasonic stacks up .
Me watching on my IPS pc monitor "yes I can see the difference now"
I truly know this becomes my new tv if buying this year. Thank you for the video and all your hard work.
4:48
True that there are always some issues on a tv but remember that there are many more positive points and most users will not look at it the way Vincent does. And some of these issues could even be mitigated with firmware updates. I understand your point but do not make it bigger than it is.
Why don't you just make an entire video about what is the best used as a monitor for a GAMER, LG vs Samsung vs sony vs Panasonic??
2:06 love the graph you started implementing this year. Keep it up because it makes it so much easier to compare TVs than just saying the 10% and 100% window figures.
I just want low latency and CRT level motion clarity at usable brightness. High brightness panels will allow black frame insertion modes to be brighter.
Latency is, in my opinion, as good as it should be - comparing 10ms vs 1ms would be a guessing game. But yeah, I wish motion clarity would improve. Some of those 240hz oleds that are coming out at the moment might be worth checking out in a year or so.
I don’t think high brightness is ideal with black frame insertion. At least on my C9, the bfi isn’t noticeable at minimum brightness but the flickering becomes more noticeable and distracting the higher the brightness.
You literally described an OLED TV
CRT will never equaled in terms of motion clarity by these displays. The physics of CRT is just inherently capable of instantaneous switching.
@@keyreeves4631 in latency only.
really getting sick of that MediaTek chipset😤
I have a LZ980 and I'm very happy with it, Panasonic tvs are seriously good
You mean JZ980, no?
I can't find the new LZ980 anywhere yet...
@@albundy1485 Oops yes, that one 👍
I am jealous and wish Panasonic would come back to the US.
LZ2000 has been out for about 3 months now in Japan and the price hasn't budged one bit from MSRP! 😕
I guess they know the people who want this TV will buy it regardless of the price.
It's now cheaper than the A95K here in the UK (£1700 Vs £2000 for the 55" model).
Where can u buy in usa
I would love to see a video on how the LG CX has aged with firmware updates and if there are any settings that you would recommend changing since your last video on it.

I bought it cause of him
CX got a lot better with the updates. Its pretty comparable with the C1 I would say
With updates, the CX is very close to the C1.

Look at you, another boss review. Thank you for keeping us updated & educating us about what is what. Love it :)
Hope to see a comparison between Panasonic new Lineup and Sony a95k 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Vinny I understand you’re just playing the UA-cam algorithmic game with the title but at the end of the day this video is a Panasonic LZ2000 review. You might want to put that in the title so people actually searching for reviews of this unit can find it.
you've heard of keywords/tags, right?
@@MetzGaming I understand that this would appear somewhere in the search results due to tags or UA-cam’s analysis of the content, but if I’m specifically looking for an LZ2000 review, I’m clicking on the videos with “LZ2000 Review” in the title.
It's a good point, these ambiguous titles are meant to be clickbait and it's stupid to see them in these tech reviews, but literally everyone does it.
I miss Panasonic here in the USA. All 4 of my tvs growing up were Panasonic.
After trying different high end consumer brand TVs only the Panasonic OLED from could fulfill my needs, so my next TV gonna be the newer Panasonic whenever I'm going to upgrade.
They're really good... I bought a 55ez952 over a Sony A1 4yrs ago... was very similar to my kuro.. sold the ez to my mates son and bought a 65hz2000 last yr just as the jz series were being released...
I still own/use a Panasonic 1080p 50" plasma. I have a brand new TV, but the plasma still looks better. Colors, motion, everything is better. If Panasonic still sold TVs in the US that's what I would buy.
Legendary set
well I had plasma and I see it differently, plasma is just no match for OLED, I'm not talking about motion, but about raw brightness and colour saturation, just put the qdoled close to the plasma feed it with the same content and tell me it's not better than plasma lol
@@ThereIsOnlyOneRandom Plasma now only wins with lack of vertical banding so obvious on every oled 😠
A 1080p blu ray on a plasma tv is still a treat.👌
My pioneer krp next to my Sony a95k on all SDR content the plasma shows better accurate colour more realistic skin tones and smooth motion. Seriously it’ only hdr what’s missing but on SDR content the oled doesn’t do anything better.
Damn you Panasonic. 💪 Come back to the states. 😂

I'm going to wait till later in the year some small price reductions before I buy the Panasonic LZ2000.
As recently spent a fortune on a 5.1 set-up and acoustic room treatment to go along with it.
Is the sound system integrated in Panasonic LZ2000 as good as a high level sound bar? If so it’s a bargain, that’s why I am asking
Danke für diese Videos. Habe mir den Panasonic in77 gekauft. Wirklich ein ein top Fernseher. Für mich bester man on UA-cam. Bitte machen sie weiter so.
Maybe it's time to change my 11 years Panasonic GT 20. Calibrated for the first time in 2020 had average delta e 1,3 and 130 cd/m2 contrast ratio close to 2500:1 and that 3d i love... if i have money it would be hard to resist because motion resolution seems finally beaten by oled fair and square. I will miss 3d tho but with all that bonuses... it's tempting. The lz 1500 55 seems the great deal with the oldel master pro panel as well
not sure they need to be brighter? but i guess it is good for longevity when you turn it down to reference levels
My 65JZX1509 arrived 30 min before, purchased it on sale from expert in Germany OVP for only 1499€ 🤘🏼
Can't wait to change it in the living room with my old baby, the 58DXW904.

I wish there were more places to actually buy a Panasonic TV.

Just purchased the Hisense U8H 2 days ago and waiting for it to arrive. Got it at $699. Should be a steal
Please come back to the USA Panasonic. Best plasmas I’ve ever owned and best TVs in my opinion.
I am really impressed how these new Oled EX panels hold up to QD Oled.

@@polishdude001 you are tripping bud. LG been making a 8k OLED for a long time by now. W-OLED is the way to go
@@alanclark9000 I have a w oled. And my buddies s95b destroys it. Brightness, colour, depth. ..
@@alanclark9000 😂 8K OLEds are less bright due to higher pixel density
Is the results of decade of improvement done by LG display
I wonder how some people is able to withstand such high levels of brightness on their TVs. I've been using oleds from LG's B7, all the way through C1. Currently I own a B7, a B9 and 3xC1 48" on my racing simulator. Now that I'm 40 years old I've been dealing with some form of astigmatism that even with prescription glasses can't go away and the high contrast between inky blacks and bright highlights (like text) makes it very difficult to enjoy watching most content. I tone down brightness to less than half in order to deal with this astigmatism somehow.
The real world has much higher brightness than any OLED tv or even FALD LCD!
Does your eyesight suffer outside in bright sunlight or at night bright vehicle headlights?
Astigmatism can be fixed with the right glasses or contact lenses. Last resort you can get laser eye corrective surgery to cure it for good.
@@C--AGot prescription glasses already but it seems my eyes' pupils are not responding to light levels as expected, a migraine develops which in turn deteriorates my eye sight even more giving me this "astigmatism" or blurred vision in the vertical plane that in some cases can have a red-green-blue gradient when the highlight is white, more so when tired of after a bad night's sleep. The inky blacks next to super bright whites accentuate this, because of the contrast.
It actually not HDR. My problem is using as PC. Wish most OLED can do 200 nit full white.
Watching at full power strains the colors and causes wash out..even on LED..not realistic,,,greys are the issues Uniformity
Why don't you just make an entire video about what is the best used as a monitor for a GAMER, LG vs Samsung vs sony vs Panasonic??
When will this SOC be exchanged for something that can keep up with LG and Samsung's HDMI connectivity?
next year
I bought a c1 this year and I love it but it's annoying seeing so much innovations this year alone lol I am happy with what I have tho
If I buy now I would go with Sony A95K because of the whites and good contrast.
Unfortunately not for sale in the US except for one retailer!!
Which retailer sells Panasonic televisions, please?
The Dolby Vision PQ you showed looks exactly like the Calman 2022 Murideo DV Absolute bug that is being investigated. I'm assuming you used a Murideo pattern generator?
Panasonic lz2000 55' = 3000€
Panasonic lz2000 65' = 4000€
Premium hit hard
A95K is still the TV to go due to its high color luminance.
Thanks again for your work. You are a beast. But i really miss you humour. I am looking forward to ear it again in your reviews.
Sr please compare sony x90k white panasonic hx800
Waiting for hdtv’s tv shootout for 2022 since the US version doesn’t have the panasonic and philips tvs.
Hooray for competition!
It just dawned on me that there's no music in Vincents video's
why didn’t Panasonic switch to qd oled at least with some of it’s models like sony? especially with the less saturation levels on high brightness and flickering around bright light in a dark scene, also it seems they have solved the overshoot and flickering right above black
maybe next year 77" oq-oled as been announced see oled news channel - new SOCs coming next year as well -as Mediatek has released a bunch of new skus - but really for most people all these TVs are great
The A95K or the LZ2000 ? Or wait another year ?
Wish Panasonic OLED’s were sold in the US
I think Vincent is a honest person. I hope he will stop this trend to make clickbait title. I prefer his genuine side mixed with his unique humor. Thanks for review 🙏🏻
what you do and know is amazing. thank you.
Since the European prices for the Panasonic LZ2000 are almost as high as the Sony A95K, and considerably more expensive than the Samsung S95B QD-OLED models, it had BETTER be a great TV...!
Remember that the high price is partly due to the onboard sound system - which you would probably have to spend £700 - £800 to better. The LZ1500 would probably be a better comparison. Having said all that, for built in sound system the one on the LZ2000 is fantastic, it more than fills my room with sound.
Its a shame that all 2022 oled displays lack 120hz bfi, 60hz bfi is not usable due to very noticeable flicker
It would be awesome to know which movies did you use for the review. Sometimes you say that sometimes not
Thanks for the video, Vincent. I'm sure I speak for many here when I say we've waited patiently for many months for your thoughts on this one.
I believe I'll be in the market for an LZ-Series TV this year. My question is though, is it better to get a ready-made audio solution in the LZ2000, or getting a LZ1500 and pairing with a Sonos Arc solution?
All the best.
Same reflexion for me. G2 or Lz1500 with Sonos Arc.
@@og9289 S95B all the day
At this point, other than initial setup, tv speakers are a thing of the past.
At a minimum, I'd recommend a sound bar.

Really great work in other words I’m fascinated, but I would like to ask you what kind of samples you used for reviews when it comes to the image quality by that I mean those footage samples are HDR10+, Dolby Vision, color-depth, Chroma Subsampling and of course coding format of the footage.
I guess owners of PS5 are curious to know info like latency and ports of TV.
Thanks again for your work
Love the content as always!
Lol, I can't keep up. Have spent months deliberating now. C2, then S95, then G2, now this model is coming out, I can't make my mind up
Get the G2, it’s just the best package all around

Will you be reviewing a Z9K?
Will you be reviewing the 48" versions which will have the older style panel I think?
Is LZ2000 just better calibrated TV than LZ1000 or LZ1500? Or, is it the matter of the hardware? Anyone knows?
Mr Burn, we salute you for ALL of your efforts and perseverance in getting to the bottom of all of these tvs BUT I want to buy The Best (70-77)” TV (4k or 8k) now but there is no end in sight of your endless analysis🫤. Would you please get the list of the BEST tv for the size so that I can go buy it?😇🙏🏽🖖🏽🌈
Cool but not sold in USA I recall
Is the Panasonic better than sonys xr oleds in granular luminance control?
When test Sony A90K!!!!!
I don’t understand any of the issues about brightness because I watch and play games in a dark room all the time. You all need to buy curtains and blinds and block out the sun.
Vincent do a video on settings for the C2 and g2
Not always an option at all times
Also it’s more about HDR performance, which you want to be impactful in a dark room as well
@@BartRovers_ then you need to buy a bigger house so you have options. HDR is meant to watched in a dark room that’s what it’s designed for. Anyway I am not going back and forth. Good day.

Why is Dolby Vision such a mess? I had to give up on it because of its bad implementation on Sony OLEDs.
Will Panasonic tv's ever make their way back to the US. I'd highly consider a panny tv, I own the ub-820 4k player and its worth every penny.

Is there any pink tinting on the edges?
@Links Awakening: WBE panels will always exhibit pink tint off-axis, so depending on how far you sit from the TV, the sides may exhibit pink tint, since the sides are off-centre relative to your eyes.
@@hdtvtest In my 83" one third of the screen, upper part, is visibly pink. Not in 100% whites, but can be seen with all kinds of greys at least. Up part is pink, lower it's green, then again bottom is slightly pink. A bit annoying, but I try to live with it. Doesn't change at all off-axis.
I'm actually referring to the left edge being warmer about an inch thick (lg c1 65) noticeable in full white menus. Also noticeable regardless where I'm sitting
Just to clarify, how far from the TV or from the center?
@@kiisseli1337 yeah mine is like from left to right:a thin stripe pink then cooler and the rest pink.

The relaxed ABL contributes to a better result for the white subpixel dilution?

Is OLED burn in purely a temperature issue? Is that why it happens?
A higher pixel temperature absolutely contributes BUT it's not the reason
"tu tutu tu tuuu" 🤣 what a year!
I have been brushing Panasonic off in the last year or so due to seeing them less on the high street and big box stores, but you remind me why I liked them slightly more than the Sony equivalent but that could also be me just being a Panasonic camera enthusiast.
Vincent, will you be looking at the Philips OLED 807 on your channel please :c or will you be waiting for the 9 series in the later months in the year, thnx you :)
Philips is like the Volvo of OLED TVs. Great Colors, Ergonomic design etc. but always forgotten halfway its lifespan.
Got to be honest, I’ve never bought any of my main TVs from a big box store….I always go to a specialist store, you get a much higher level,of service, both pre sales and after sales. When I’m spending several thousands of pounds on one electronics product I don’t want some guy at Currys giving me the runaround when I need after sales service.
@@rufdymond i do agree ill have to one day buy a tv precalibrated from Vincent and Co. I think currys has great deals and vochers you can snag tho but more over their 5 year extended care on most OLEDs is dirt cheap so you dont need to run around chasinf the manufacturer for up to a 28 day repair, even if currys after service is meh youre well in your righr wirh their warranty for a right off if its not back to you on the 8th day.
I have personally used currys for tv extendd warrenty repair myself and the service was standard as in they kept to what was on the tin fix in 7 days or new one.
Just a small note tho I think Panasonic marketing for in store is non existsnt tho (at least where I live) Currys and other shops would have a dedicated Panasonic stand Panasonic would pay for but its no longer there.
Philips used to have beautiful brand stand but they now use brand reps (despite being in Currys shirts) to sell for them but I hope the stands return.
@@hastensavoir7782 I agree with your sentiment!
The presentation was a bit one note on this video - sometimes Vincents videos have a tendency to be same as he uses the same footage so much and says the same things in the same way this video was a noteable example of that - also I notice he doesn't really show the actual TV much - people like to see the TV the remote, and know about quality of life issues like LG's bad habit of welding in the power cord that is to short to reach the ground when wall mounted. (this defeating the entire point of the G series).
Vincent seems very "videophile" focused - which to be honest I don't care about really - I care about how easy it is to use and the TV's features, so I appreciated that he mentions that the broken black frame insertion or when a set had the common sense to bond it's eArc functions to a legacy HDMI port standard so you didn't loose a 2.1 connection that is all good quality of life things to mention.
But I can't say I've ever heard him mention things like how the TV functions in actual use - not just lets sit down and watch a Movie or play a game but when people are using it in a variety of more elaborate ways - like does the chromecast work - does it even have it. (I've seen some TV make a mess oh the sound when streaming from a phone) also some manufactures demand a lot of personal info before some features even work - which isn't nice Feature lock out is to be frowned on too.
I do like that he catches most things - but I still think when he fails to mention something is it because the TV lacks it or works fine so wasn't worth mentioning - there is certain things I'd use a lot most reviewers just don't mention - such as Picture in Picture options - Samsung "almost" got that right allowing you to place a streaming site in one window with a game or TV source in another but didn't handle the sound properly for that - making using a UA-cam guide along side a game difficult with only one sound source being accessible at a time. when what you'd want is the ability to redirect one sound source to an external speaker or split left and right.
Another quality of life feature people never mention is the subtitle options some TV's have loads of options for how they are displayed some have none - and it's just default or nothing.
Oh course Vincent was kind enough to highlight how some TV self-limited themselves to 100MBPS for their internet connection until one worked around it - but some TV's have a 300MBPS limit and some are unlocked up to 1GBPS so that is something worth a mention too perhaps.
I don't think he has to mention all this stuff in an individual review - but I do think these sorts of subjects might be worth thinking about when he's filming and saving some footage for later to make a "subject" video instead of a specific one for the TV - which he does sometimes do - and those are appreciated too.
I would say to Vincent though perhaps he can try to enunciate the word PRE better when talking about Pre-Calibration as he sounds like he's saying FREE and that might be confusing.
When will the reviews LCD Sony 2022? X90K/X95K?
Why would you buy LCD? Honest question, is it price?
What about the new Phillips ambilight TVs?
Hi, is the sound on this better than the Philips OLEDS with their Bowers and Wilkins built in sound bars?
I wish here in the US we was able to make this purchase come on Panasonic can you show us some love and actually make tons of more money selling to USA?
Is the 2022 series still not capable of full resolution 4K 120Hz VRR with HDR due to the mediatek chipswt?
