#HAKA
#MOARIALLBLACKS - Спорт
I remember watching this a few years ago. Best Haka that I’ve ever seen. The guy at the front with the wooden axe shaped weapon looks bloody badass. The way they walk forward, plus the fog in the air. Too good.
The weapon it's called a Tewhatewha it serves both as a weapon and a signalling staff to give warriors battle orders during battles. Veteran Warriors acting like NCOs carried this weapon.
The guy at the front I think is Hika. Find the 2011 All Blacks hakas against Ireland too!
@@pauladdae3130 Yep, Hika Elliott nei?
who won? ...... ;)
That's not an axe, it's a sweeper for the excrement left behind by their enemies.
I went to a Maori funeral last year. The men, all dressed in All Blacks' jerseys did a Haka before the hearse left with the dear man's body. The powerful energy coming from the Haka gave me goosebumps - one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had.
I love rugby, thank you for the video 💖 from Australia xx
Debe haber sido una experiencia inolvidable y una gran bendición haber participado en algo tan íntimo para ellos ❤️
@@valentinamoyano9067 yes it was. He was such a loved man and a beautiful custom to witness 💖 xx
Question: why ia it that You Australia don't do aboriginal war dance ect like all nz do Maori Haka's?
Why Australia is not treasuring the Aboriginal people's culture then? Might give you some energy too aye
@@cynga6067 yes, I agree 💖 xx
Amazing. I never ever get bored of watching the Haka, whichever version it is, it calls back to a warrior spirit means so much to the Maori people. Love it.
Yes... Me too... Never ever gets old. It's impressive, inspiring, and even touching on some deep level. Love the synchronicity, the rhythm of the choreography so to speak, and the commitment of the haka performers.
And there ancestors would be embarrassed to see it performed over fuckn games!
@@flok.8317 It's so lame. it's just a fucking football game and not a war over life and death. can you imagine how ridiculous it would be if a pool player acted like that before a pool tournament? it's just shameless
@@Michael_Howard59 Cultures evolve or they are left behind just like everything else. If the Haka was purely a war chant like it was in the early days no one would perform it these days and it would be forgotten slowly but surely.
It seems that the majority of the Maori are for these new expressions of their culture and if they are fine with it so should we.
.....and then they lost 🤣
I've seen a few different groups perform the Haka, but the All Blacks are the only ones I've seen where, by the time they've finished, I feel a near-compulsion to go out and pick a fight with the biggest, meanest-looking badass I can find. Which is kind of silly, considering I'm an old lady with sciatica and really bad arthritis who can barely walk. Just pity the fool who tries to break into my apartment - they gonna git hurt!
It don't matter how old you are the haka well give you the mana to hold your ground to the death .it's plaseing to the God of War. Tumatauenga
If I were on the opposing team I would run as far away as I could get. They are just plain scary
I just pick fights with my husband. He just laughs at me. 😂
@@IrishAnnie not if you kick him in the balls .he wouldn't. Lol
@@IrishAnnie I want a divorce
🤜As a South African, and a big Springbok rugby supporter,,i always enjoy watching The Kiwi's Haka👍it's always Super Awesome to watch them,it doesn't matter who they, and in which country they play🏉 It's Always cool👌For me its always about Respect and good Sportsmanship 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
Class.
It just never gets old. That's saying something if an Australian man is loving it
The amount of testosterone in that Haka is just off the chart!!! :)
This being done with the heavy fog all around them makes it even better.
The place there where this game is played is known as the mist of the mountains
It is an amazing chant, from the first time I hear it i couldn't stop watching it again and again... big respect to you and I hope this wonderful culture will remain for ages ahead
haka is not always about intimidation and warfare. it is often about indigenous relationships to their lands and peoples. some haka project a particular message in response to a struggle or hardship a person or community has faced. the intensity and heightened expression is a visceral projection of the values embedded within the message of the haka - frequently choreographed . Here is an interpretation of this haka quoted from NZRUGBY: "It tells the Māori story of the creation from the void, the nothingness, the darkness to what we have today. It also tells of a gathering of young warriors, young chiefs, young rugby players who are making a statement and setting aims, objectives and strategies to achieve mātauranga (knowledge), whanaunatanga (unity) and taumatatanga (excellence)."
Haka is not always about intimidation and warfare. It’s often about indigenous relationships to their land and people.
Well it is effective! Definitely grabs everyone's attention !
Thanks…I didn’t know what it was all about. I knew it was from Māori and I also saw one done at a wedding, as respect for beloved teacher etc.
@@christineribone9351 actually is tho - despite your ALL CAPS
Yeah. Looks like it.
One of the best haka I have ever seen.
Ha, Ha, Ha!
It's a joke!
@@zealantis 1) You're, not your. 2) You read this comment not heard. 3) You are incompetent.
@@melanisticmandalorian One of the best hakas (plural, not single haka). Or have you seen only one....? How can it then be "one of the best" you've seen when you've only seen one?
And technically, you haven't SEEN it unless you were there personally and saw it with your own two eyes while it happened...!
No, you've VIEWED it on your cell phone or your lap top or some other remote device displaying a video recording of the event.
You're not the only one that can split hairs or correct other people's grammar. People who resort to that sort of thing on UA-cam or other social media usually do so because they lack substance in what they have to say.
But you didn't really say anything, did you? You TYPED it....! That is not the same as "saying it" now, is it? So you can not be credited or faulted for saying anything, now can you? Because you haven't "said" it.
I would like to see you offer that defense in a court of law when you are being sued for defamation, or something.
If only Amber Heard offered that argument as her defense for the Op Ed she published in the Washington Post....! Then she wouldn't have been liable for 15 Million USD.
"I didn't say it ,Your Honor, I typed it...!"
Get real, Bro.
@@danielcoetzee5793 That is pretty asinine and ridiculous to say you have not seen it unless you saw it personally and not in a video. Get over yourself. "One of the best Haka I've seen" or "One of the best hakas I've seen" are both proper, grammatically to use because, I am referring to this in particular, but am not comparing it to the others. If you are going to try to tear apart someone's argument, at least know what you are talking about.
@@melanisticmandalorian Oh, you started this ridiculousness (and excel at it).
It is YOU who have to get over yourself (and get over your ridiculous haha haka.
(Or go and VIEW another million haha hakas and tickle yourself).
OR, you can find something better to do with your life than starting ridiculous arguments.
It is utter ridiculous to say that you haven't heard something if someone else said it in writing....!
Writing is a representation of what you say as you write down your thoughts and your ideas and you are TYPING WORDS>>>>!
If you are typing words then those words can certainly be "heard" when you read them.
Writing is "remote speaking" and writing words is just as good as saying them.
(or did you forget how you learned to read..? your teacher taught you to articulate the words by making the sounds that those letters represent).
Are you hearing what I'm saying, Bro..?
(Just ignore the few unsavory words in between which I have deleted, I cannot say it out loud but I'm sure you can still hear them even though you haven't read them. HA HA HA!
I'm sure your ears are ringing now...!
Besides, if you are saying "One of the best" YOU ARE comparing it to the others you've already seen (which were not as good as "One of your best". (What a stupid comment to make). "I'm not comparing it"...when you are in fact comparing it...; that is the whole gist of your comment).
Eish...!
The haka is one of the most powerful tribal rituals worldwide even non religious atheist people like me acknowledge its huge spiritual and intimidatory power the haka both intimidates and honours its opponents in equal measure it is an honourable ritual with huge significance.
Thats such a good analogy, thanks man
Haka awakens something in us my brother, you probably aren't as atheistic as you think- is stirs up our Wairua..( spirit) ❤
Beautiful NZ never gets old.
Respect to all first nations 🙏.
That is so impressive and a thrill to watch. This is a great way to preserve and demonstrate history in a proper venue and thus “teaching” what the Haka is about to new generations and other cultures. The Haka was a prelude to tribal wars many years ago but now it is a symbolic heritage demonstration of Māori pride.
Timatanga
That’s not all it was back then either my bro
It is NOT a demonstration of Maori pride! Mana is SPIRIT. and you dont "teach" new generations, they grow up with it, living it, breathing it
I was there that night up on the grass embankment and it made the hairs stand up on my neck from a distance !
Shaun, I bet it was awesome!!
Wish I was there
This Has To Be The Greatest Haka Ever Performed
I love cultures. History and cultures must be preserved.
I agree with others. Best Haka ever. I think it’s because these guys are all jacked and built like a brick house. Their physique add a layer of badassery to the Haka.
El baile,el folklore, las danzas me fascinan, pero la Haka en particular es un ritual que me atrapa, por el poderío,el vigor y hasta la manera como intimidan estos "guerreros" a sus adversarios.Fascinante!!
I love seeing Haka. It’s about the people. It’s the culture that has been passed down generations to generations still carrying the legacy of the true warrior bloodline of Māori people. I love the fact they continue this tradition and forever be remembered.
I love watching the Haka it's so powerful . Respect to your culture 🌿💫
Originally they didn't take it seriously themselves. But hey, if you enjoy grown men doing a silly dance then...

The fact that this tradition keeps going is beautiful but Im always genuinely curious about what the opposing players feel/think and if they respect it as much as we all do ❤️
They're all shitting themselves obviously, which in itself is a very beautiful and noble thing. One of the most cursed things any fool can do is disrespect the Haka.🖤 The All Blacks are more than just a rugby team. Fearsome fearless warriors.
this is how I express myself to the judge every time I go to jail.
THis was one of he best Ive ever seen. You people everyone needs to do this to our respective government leaders.
Ash Dixon is an absolute warrior. Love this haka so much
Magnificent
Jesus, I used to play a bit of rugby, I’d have passed out had I have faced that…. Brilliant
Timatanga, my favorite Haka. 💪🏾
This is always awesome to watch, it always gives me goosebumps. Kia Kaha ❤️👍
Good way to psych out your competition! Awesome!

These guys are great! Who does not love a good Haka?
Interesting. The Celts were also known to have their own pre-battle prep.
That was the best I've seen, sounded great
I honestly would love to see either a rugby game or football game between the US nfl championship team vs the Europeans rugby championship team. ( i feel the US team might get stomped.)
Powerful. Nice head action there on the left.
You can feel the mana comin through these guys. Ooh baby. Aloha
Been watching this since the beginning and it never gets old 🖤🤍
I love to watch the Haka.
LOVE IT.
I love this!
Im proudly South African. But never have I loved the Maori more. Take it out on the field boys.
Awesome 👏 I am so moved by it .
I have had enough of the Haka.
Time to drop this mega bore.
Pahahah too bad
Fantastic Haka - certainly gave me goosebumps through the whole ceremony.

Yea man ✨ amazing
Totally love our Maori AB's. I wear my shirt around the Highlands of Scotland and people toot, thumbs up, quietly comment (the Highland way), kids are in awe, and I walk tall (I am, but beside the point). You guys are just awesome, and whenever I put that shirt on, I know I'm safe. Nui ake te kaha me te kaha ki a koe katoa. X
Aaaaaamazing😍
Only a few days ago I saw the first Haka in my life thru UA-cam. Now I’m looking everywhere for Haka. It’s interesting and meaningful. I like 👍 it a lot. ( respectfully ) I was ignorant of this tradition entirely.
Best HAKA, especially with the mist and fog covering the pitch. Looks like WAR
Reminds me of the 1700 when the British were conquering everything. This would have been a perfect battle scene
Wow!!!! I’m speechless!
DAMM YOU'VE BEEN SERVED !!!!!
I think this is my fav one ❤
Love this haka❤ so fierce💪🏽
That is great
Love it
I love this
Here for it!!
This doesn’t intimidate or scare me, I find it funny.
Same here. I dig the Haka as such and I think it´s cool traditions like that are kept alive. But performing it before a rugby game degrades it to a clown show in my opinion.
Stand in front of it poppy
This is the best version I've seen. I like the beginning part
WOW! Just bloody wow!
Sensacional 💙💙💙
Love the Haka, U.S. approves, thanks!
Spine Chills bro absolute chill
At the same time the team from San Francisco, the All Pinks, broke out in song singing a medly of Cher hits.

It is so important to keep alive our countries great heritage. This is a great example. Love it:-)
Haka. Like growling beasts. Beautiful. Inspiring. Deadly.

this is what i love about a game like Rugby, its a chance for each country to show its ferocity through tradition. Its a War cry, meeting good sportsmanship.. absolutely love tradition +Culture..all of it

Shivers. Goosebumps. I love it.
If I was on the other team I'd be clapping saying, "I like it! That's good! That's very good!" 🤗👏👏👏👏👏👏

Incredible, powerful energy of the All Blacks
If you fellas want to see a real emotional Haka done with heart. Look up Anzac or soldiers doing Haka. Just as good if not better..
That cut to the component team member just dead staring is so funny😂
I will always love a good Haka. It's the perfect fusion of Performing Arts and Ultimate Bad-Assness.
Timatanga 💪🏼👊🏼🖤
Damn I love my culture gets me so amped down to the molecules of my very being

Thank God for the gift of REAL MEN
What if we all had our tribal rituals before rugby? It would be quite intense.
