FTC This is a design essentials sponsored video. I was essentially sent a tonne of products and I selected the ones that my hair LOVED and that were relevant to the theme of this video. As many of you know I have been using the protein treatment for nearly two years.... - Фільми й анімація
Great length retention! Very informative video on moisture & protein balance. This video can really help me now since I'm still trying to figure out how to keep my normal to low porosity hair balanced.
So glad you mentioned that the design essentials lines as a good store bought brand to choose. I just got into it( found it at my local Sally beauty supply) and my hair loved it the moment I slathered it in! It's affordable, all natural and a perfect balance of ingredients that my hair needs.

Hi honey looking gorgeous ❤ I wanted to know if you have used the Philip Kingsley elasticizer and the Cantu hair products? If so what do u think? Also pls do vids incorporating fresh avocados, I would love to try your trusted recipes x
I abandoned hair products, all my woes comes from using hair products, I now use whats in my kitchen. When i was relaxed or colored it was ok to use a little protein. Now that I'm all natural, protein is my foe. It just registered to me from what you said that processing stripes hair of protein.
You look really flawlessly beautiful
Kukenza Moore thank you my love xox
Very helpful! Tfs, God bless.
Beautiful!!! 😍
I did an avocado protein mask one time and it turned out straw like. I had to put a bunch of leave in conditioner in it for a few days, and work with it to get it normal. 😊
Awesome video
OMG you have the most beautiful hair.
Great information, tfs

Great info! Question does clay clarify the hair? Your hair looks super amazing!
Yes
Hi, how do you detangle your long beautiful hair? My hair is growing and I want it grow it as long as yours. Do you flat iron your hair? If so how often? Do you have a video of you washing and detangling your hair? How do you keep your hair when going to bed? How long did it take you to grow your hair so long?
Avoid glycerin in during cold weather or dry climate that has very little humidity.
Hi I just sent it when I got home. I was nervous about sending it. ☺️
Hi curly, I have very fine hair which do not hold curls very well. Please do you recommend me doing a protein treatment as well as a moisturizing treatment every week to gain strength in my hair? Thank you.
my hair gets oily the second day. does that mean my hair has too much moisture or too much protein? i can't figure out what to purchase
I would like to know what products you used to nourish and style your hair as it was growing out
I really miss you doing your all natural recipes for hair. I guess it takes too much time. But I just feel like there are a lot of products to try/purchase in your vids lately. still love you girl and your channel. always great info. but I just don't want to keep buying different products. I'm a self recovering product junkie and don't want to go back lol. luv u
TheJanicetunes there have been some consistent products such as the DE Creme gel and Kera Care Creme cleanser. As a hair blogger I try a lot of products and like to refer those that I enjoy, but I hear you ....I have was thinking just today that I need to do more recipes .... Thanks for the suggestion. Xox
Thanks Curly P for your response and you're very welcome. We (you tubers) appreciate you so much and I'm so grateful for you and others who share their tips. Keeping going girl. I'm just trying to get my hair as long and thick as yours:)
Do you have any recommendations for a dry and ichy scalp. I want to try your oil treatment in one of your other videos but was wondering if you have anything for this? Thanks.

Great video love your look here!
can you use these products on relaxed hair? I'm afraid to do the big chop so I want to do texlax to grow it out before cutting off the straight hair....so i want to be super good to it in the interim.
Can u do a henna gloss and use heat or a steamer to help with moisture retention
born with it
I believe this is what's happening to my daughter's hair. it keeps breaking and coming out
when I'm combing it. I wet her hair hair everytime I comb it and its muchy .
Do your diy conditioner pl
Hey Curly Proverbz i have a Question.i did my priosity test. My hair stayed on top and when I push it down it stays at the bottom lol and when I balance it in the middle it stays their😲 I'm confused what type of hair do i have?
Girl, your make up is 🔥
+Nakaya Manning thank you my darling x
I'm so distracted by your makeup, it looks natural and amazing! I can tell you have great skin! great video!
asweetmshell aww thank you that means a lot I have been trying to up my game!! It's nice that you noticed ...
asweetmshell i always love your hair. Make up is nice, but the upper right part of your face doesnt have foundation
@curlyproverbs so with the moisture and balance step by step if doing this which step is the henna mask/gloss or do I just make make it with the deep conditioner
this girl is a Natalie she's so good her hair turned out so well when he was so short
Are yu saying that it's ok to use products that contain those proteins but not to use hard core treatments like apoghee when using ayurevedics? For some reason, I'm thinking of henna as an equivalent to protein so one has to choose between henna or hard-core protein treatments to avoid damaging the hair. Can you please clarify? Tia
How often do you flat iron your hair? I did the technique you use to revert straight hair back to curly minus the henna. It worked really well.
Thanks for all your tips.
With the exception of this year every 18-24 months but I have done it twice this year xo
Curly Proverbz ok 😎
Wow all great stuff. I think i need to get a book for my hair. How many times a week is it recommended to do scalp massage and for how long?
Sierra Sierra thank you love. I would alternate days for 5-7 mins x
What u doing 2ur skin body? U have a nice colour . What the best product did u think or u tried and u got a nice result from it ?
Beautiful sis
Is there a growth oil without msm that will still encourage growth?
Can you tell me about the product you use
Hi dear can u do skincare routine plse plse love u
So is hot oil treatment protein or mousturizing? I use a mixture of avocado oil, mustard seed oil, and pure vitamin E oil infused with vitamin C (my hair loves it. feels super thick, elastic, soft, shiny).
A. J. A Oils help to maintain protein :) But they don't contain protein. I would not say they are moisturizing
A. J. It depends on the definition of moisture you use... many dictionaries say water 💦 or liquid most say moisture is water based. It keeps moisture in provides lubrication and elasticity and in that way I would say it's very similar to moisture....
If you use fully or partially penetrative oils like coconut or olive oil (I can't remember the other one(s)) for your treatment they can enter the hair shaft and nourish the hair from the inside out similar to a moisturizing conditioner. But they won't give moisture to your hair (no water), so if you're in need of moisture after a protein treatment, opt for a moisturizing deep conditioner and do hot oil either afterwards or on another day altogether.
That is a great tip thanks for sharing - never thought about doing my hot oil treatment after instead of before the deep conditioner to seal in the moisture - but then you still need to rinse it I guess (and therefore loose some oil and moisture altogether) (?) - I am actually more confused lol
Didi rci Well some people like to do it after conditioning to seal. And yeah it'll be rinsed out, but unless you shampoo it out there will still be oil enough on your hair to seal. Alternatively you could do it on another day (when you need a conditioning effect on your hair but not necessarily as much extra moisture). Also you could do a hot oil treatment and treat it as a pre-poo. Most of it would get shampooed out but the oils (esp. penetrative oils) will still benefit your hair this way too.
Also just to make you less confused. Oils, even when they coat the hair will never completely block out water. So when you rinse the oils out of your hair, water is going to enter your hair and the oil that's left over is going to seal some of that water in and increase the moisture levels of your hair indirectly. So even though there's no water in oil, hot oil treatments can generally be thought of as moisturizing as they can help to retain moisture in the hair shaft. Penetrative oils are better though if you want your hair and scalp to benefit from their nourishment. Coconut oil actually acts similar to protein with continued use so be mindful. But heavier oils like castor or shea oil will sit outside the hair and help it retain moisture better like I mentioned.
hello I love your videos very informative. I have a question. let's say your having a problem with breakage how often would you suggest doing a protein treatment once a week once a month? what are your thoughts? also what if you are just maintaining how often would you suggest at that point 1x a month? your input is appreciated
SHENA CROWE is the breakage def due to a lack of protein what is your current regimen? Xo
Curly Proverbz well I had noticed alot of shedding and it was broken hairs so I got scared so I started doing weekly protein treatments every Sun and then cowashing every Wednesday with a moisture conditioner as well as using it as a leave in. I'm trying to retain length but I have had a few setbacks so I was waist length and now I'm bra strap length. I started cowashing and detangling midweek because I was finding that although I'm protective styling the detangling at the end of the week was doing more harm then good. I don't use any heat and my hair I would say is your texture low porosity but not as thick so I'm trying to work on that too. any suggestions will be well appreciated I'm so frustrated and tired of having set backs.
Naturally u have long wavy hairs then how do u get that curly hairs ?
Can you please do a tutorial for this look?
alicia tiongison sure .... it's super simple was thinking of doing this look with a different lip colour for valentines
How does one achieve a curly hair naturally
Dang at 0:16 I heard a song I loved. But anyway I'll pass along these info.
How often do you do protein treatments? I really struggle with identifying when my hair needs a protein boost.
Once a month
Can you show how you did your hair please?
Marie Claude just a wash and go my darling xox routine video up in my channel used the design essentials defining Creme curl xox
Nice video must say, but where can one get hydrolyzed wheat protein, collagen, silk protein as you mention cause my hair is low porosity.
How often can one do protein treatment.
Will hot oil treatment help with elasticity of the hair?
If yes what's the best combination?
Kiki Va
Jennifer Johnson Dont understand
Thank you SO much for sharing all those tips - I was so happy when you announce it on Instagram (meandmycurls :) ). It is so thorough and full of details so thank you thank you! I understand now why my hair does not respond so well anymore to products that have protein in them if I use them too much - I used to have coloured hair and also to use heat so it just make perfect sense now why my healthier hair does not need so much! I am still learning but that is a great start! THANK YOU for being amazing xoxoxoxox
please help.I always thought that my hair was low porosity but right now I am lost. I have noticed that my hair get dry super fast when i leave the shower to put the deep conditioner on my hair, like really fast. I have also noticed the same thing when I wash my hair after I put the deep conditionner. It dry so fast that i have to put water again in some part of my hair before I put the leave in. I have read that when the hair dry that fast, it a sign that your hair is high porosity. But I the same time after I have deep conditionner and put the leave in and sealed the moisture with an oil (generally coconut) my hair get time to dry. Everytime I did the glass water test, My hair stayed at the top of the glass. I haven't relaxed my hair since 2012, and the last time I did a brazilian blowout was in 2014. So my hair can be damaged because of chemical process since I have been natural since 2014 after cutting every relaxed and chemically treated hair and my hair is very curly. I am so lost and depressed right now. I have done literally everything and spend so much money on my hair and it still not growing. I have been thinking maybe I was doing the wrong things since the beginning I don't know. Maybe it's the clarifiying shampoo that I am using that is drying my hair I don't know. Please help ! (sorry for the mistakes I am french !)
capricorn girl I have high porosity hair. I would clarify shampoo once every 2 weeks only. use bentonite clay to wash ACV to rinse every couple days and then put an aloe vera based leave in. next use an oil not coconut than seal with a heavy cream like shea moisture deep treatment masque or any of your DCs. try it out let me know.
Can I add glycerin to my conditioner?
Can you please give me the link to your moistures you made with slippery elm and marshmallow root? I cannot find it
The ‘4 detanglers you need in your life’ video x
i have no curls, can i use these treatments. i want to start using the ayurvedic routine to grow my hair.
I am pretty sure you can
I have a bottle of vegetable glycerine and don't know how to use it. Can you give me any suggestions?
Donnie Love you could add it to water in a spritz bottle with some essential oils or add to your deep conditioner
please curly,i have a 4c hair and is so dry n frizzy.my scalp itches me alot.please what deep condition or routine should i follow?waiting for your reply please
Odonye Verere tgin naturals or aussie moist 3x moisture or mielle organics deep conditioners
Doing the henna mask doesn't replace a protein treatment, does it?
Leisurely Natural it fills in gaps in the hair shaft almost like cement and keeps the integrity of the hair's protein.
Curly Proverbz Thank you for that clarification.
Im curious i have straight hair (im hispanic) does this work on any hair type or only curly hair?
I think it works on all of them
How ican balance? Some time use protein mask and next wash moisture ? Can help please
Hey love you can either use them in combination or one after the other. If I do a protein treatment I rinse and apply a moisturising conditioner... That works for me but you have to listen to your hair x
