The way I found it was because today, at school, in music class, my teacher played a Nutcracker song for us. And I immediately knew that it was the song I was looking for. She didn't tell us the name of the song, but because she at least told us that it was from the Nutcracker, and because I have the Nutcracker suite on my iPad, all I had to do was skim through all the songs and I found it.

As much as I love this song I cannot listen to it anymore. A year ago at work I played this song to two young people in the break room and asked them if they knew what it was. One didn't know but the other did so I gave him a dime as a reward (the only change I had in my wallet). Several months ago he went on a trip which would he hoped would be the first of many in his endeavour to see the world. He died in a tragic accident, leaving behind a 2 year old child.
Whenever I hear this song I think of him.
May he Rest in Peace 😥

Bach, Mozart, and Hans Zimmer creates 44 accounts to dislike this because they were jealous.

    •  10 років тому +64

Bach has nothing to be jealous about. He is basically the father of music as we know it today. And Tchaikovsky himself was obsessed with the music by Mozart. He was his greatest idol :) Hans Zimmer and his crew though, THEY may have more reason to create 44 accounts to dislike this video ;)

I honestly think the Trepak is even more Nutcracker-y than the dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy and most people might think of this melody when someone mentions the ballet. It's so well known, but ask someone about the Flutes, or Arabian; blank faces staring back at you. Maybe that just means it's the best piece of the Nutcracker (I certainly agree. Now if only it were longer...)

Turns out, Home Alone has an extremely similar song called Holiday Flight,
