Hi, another great video. Brian Jacks, what a blast from the past. I, like you, regularly tuned in to Superstars in the 1980's. Looking forward to part 2.
I lived there at View Dee in 2018, Brian and Lek were GREAT hosts. A bargain condo on the dark side for 5500 baht. Quiet place with cable tv, wifi, a pool and lots of nice farang, mostly Brits.. and a few Aussies and myself a Yankee. Brian gave me the nickname Shaky Stevens. Brian was a good man.. TOP MAN as you Brits say. Curtis, retired Navy, now living in Mexico City.. but back in Pattaya / Jomtien in November.
Oh snap you're the guy from the video 🤣 legend. Me and my friends want to come to Thailand next year to start some businesses. We're Israelis. We want to be at the start of the next generation

I think Patts has improved a lot over the past 10 years to the point where you could absolutely make a decent case for living there other than the obvious. It's got really good restaurant and pub options, cheap eats, actually decent beaches down the coast a bit, really good golf courses and some really high end condo accomodation. It was a dirty shit hole with a beach that was unusable, no real facilities or high end malls, just 100 percent sexpats. And back then you'd see girls with the old guys that definitely weren't the right side of 18. It was frankly bloody depressing. So if you "fell in love with the place" back then I'd say.
