Like it all, except the wheel & tire selection.
Very Very nice. This is exactly what most guys are doing now. Your next build should be a mid-late 70's Muscle Car, They are the HOT build right now.
What an awesome build definitely something I could see myself driving around town in
What is their obsession with rubber band / balogna skin tires 🙄
For looks but not driveability
@@demarques1911 Looks stupid so even that is a fail.
@@shawa666 nah it looks sick
They look good but i'm a 17-18" wheel max type of guy to leave a meaty tire or some Vogues..
Honestly some 17’s with a good sidewall is way better than the 18’s or 19’s with no sidewall
👍 bravo!! Great to see a old skool engine vs the usual ls swap. This is so much better!!!
I’m so over ls swaps. Back to sbc 350 build for me
so cool to see these builds, love those old gm from the 80's❤ i'll share a story, it's 1987, i'm 13, my mom has a 1980 pontiac grand lemans 4 door, came with a 3.8 V6, mom's boyfriend took the car for a road trip and overheated the engine, her brother(uncle victor) had a general repair shop in bathurst new brunswick, my mom gave him the car to fix, a few weeks later she brought back the pontiac J2000 loaner and took her lemans back, i was in the car and heard my uncle tell my mom about how the car might have a bit more power and will cost a bit more on gas, that thing took off, i remember the rear of the car squatting when she hit the gas, snapped the drive shaft within a week, a few months later, i had an apointment at a hospital in fredericton new brunswick, on the way she stopped for gas, her at the wheel with her best friend in the passenger side, both smoking, me in the back reading my car&driver magazine enjoying the smell of gas LOL, mom asked the pump attendant to check the oil, he opens the hood, looks dumbfounded for a second, calls the garage mechanic over to check it out, then came the owner, all 3 under the hood laughing, mom wondering what's the problem, i get out of the car to see what's up, look under the hood, first thing hits my eyes, the mercruiser logo on the valve cover, went and told mom that uncle victor put a boat engine in the car, of course she does not believe me, when she got home she called her brother that confirmed to boat engine he took out of an old boat, we called that car the "boat" from then on, not sure if it was a 5.0 or 5.7, she got rid of the car in '89 for a '88 ford tempo GLS😒 you guys have too many videos, not sure if you ever tried something like that, if yes, share the link, if not, it would be an awesome project to punk people with 🤣
That car is sick. There is zero chemistry among the hosts though… it seems like they mostly hate each other. Dose not feel like some friends hanging out.
It is because they dated before, and the breakup was bitter
When I was a kid in 77 our family truckster was in the form of a 1977 Pontiac Grand Safari. Lots of awesome adventures in it. I loved riding in the rear facing 3rd row.
I could feel a little competitive friction there at the end ol Tommy stayed out of. Course he ain't got nothing to prove. Lmao.
Great show.
Had a 77 in high school, did something like this and put mud tires on it in the winter. With the posi it was a tank. Pulled alot of cars out of the ditch.
That wagon is Awesome! The wood wrap is perfect👍
The car is cool BUT, it would look better with color keyed wheels and trim rings.
I kept waiting for a supercharger install "boosting" the horsepower 😂.. hadn't had my coffee yet. Like the car a lot tho!
Got to say those wheels are totally killing the over all look of the car, as they stick out like vanilla icing on a chocolate pie. Those baby moons on those massive white wheels might look better on a 1950 Pontiac Chieftain. Everything else I am good with.
Awesome build choice.those box caprices are great cars .
Really, that's the best Y you could manage for the exhaust. 🤦♂️
Dream cruiser!!!
Wheels might be tolerable in black or silver but bright white , no mas.
Really enjoyed this video. This is a car from my childhood.
Just wish you had painted the wheels beige and add some beauty rings.
My mom had one like this inbthe 80's when I was kid. We'd throw everything in and go to the lake or the Starlight Drive In theater.
I love this car!!!!!!
$25k motor in a $2k vehicle.
Love the wagon, but put regular tires on it.
Dig the SBC content, seems like everyone and their brother are boosting LS swaps but never SBC's. Would be cool to see an e85 burning, 10:1, SBC with 10 psi of boost in one of your car builds.
I'm more of a big block guy, a 454 or a 460ci BBF woulda stirred the pot for the viewers..lol But i understand they wanted a cheap, easier fix..
That's Badass! I'd drive that everyday!
Don't like the wheels with short side wall tires
Single exhaust?
EFI small blocks need to resurface. The LS stole all their glory before they even had a chance.
Absolutely love this car! I want a station wagon in the worst way!
I don’t think Payton and Joel like each other.
Cool Wagon there. I'd get the AC fixed throw me a nice sound system in it and cruise.
Back end needs to sit bit higher and a nice set of polished aluminum 16" Boyd Coddington wheels would look killer👊
Cool wrap!
Even if you install a later model FI fuel pump, you still need to baffle your fuel tank. The stock carbureted tank isn't going to have baffles and you will get air in your lines and your car won't run right. You need a later model fuel tank to go with it.
But that wood vinyl was PERFECT for this wagon.
Guess it's a real cool project all in all
Why does the final cruise with the guys feel so tense?
I would paint the front grill n headlight trim gloss black while keeping the bumper chrome.. Only thing the exterior is needing..
Fuel injection changed the game a whole lot now u can probably go new style or old style engine and have a daily driver instantly
My next purchase will be a box wagon I got a 93 now dressed up as an impala
Should have put a 200-4r in it that way you can use the stock drive shaft.
Kid taxy, grocery getter, party wagon, low profile camper.dragon wagon to turn your friends green, just a all round gas guzzler.
I'll take it. Keepemcoming
Great video. Anyway we can see how and where your ran the fuel lines and set the TV cable? Thanks!
Love it
Chevrolet Caprice Wagon
Very cool wagon! Should've went with the classic rallye wheels instead of the larger diameter smoothies. And the wood grain wrap really makes it stand out.
Why after all that work it has a single exaust and why those rubber band tires and wheels
Wheels and tires suck.
I love the music 2 all these types of shows it's heavy metal and heavy chevys
Wheel and tire combo not cool ! Chevy ralley wheels would look great !
I'm just keepin it real, this episode SUCKED, you didn't even lay into that motor.... single exhaust???? Wtf was this episode?
Disappointed you guys didn't go aftermarket for the trans crossmember.
Deserved a real paint job blue n chrome
A 4 speed transmission? Seriously? Why? It can't be that much more expensive to put in a 5 or 6 speed. Fuel economy, responsiveness, acceleration, and other driving factors will be improved. What a huge miss.
There’s less extreme modifications with the 700R4 transmission, as it is an almost direct replacement for the older Turbo 350 with better reliability. That’s why they did not go all stupid 5/6 speed transmission, as that would require modifying the trans tunnel. Something they didn’t want to do.
Those wheels 😦
Everything was going well until the wrap.
Pac-man chop
Headliner needs changing but nice car overall
Grandma might drive it better. Keep it under 35 mph boys.
Won't even do a burn out
A Y exhaust? Yuck!
sorry to say in my opinion those wheels are just butt ugly. other than that it is quite a nice looking car and i would love to own it. i love wagon's.
Cool car, awful wheels.
I see Mr Hissy Fit is still on the payroll.
Who is Mr. Hissy Fit?
Wheels are horrible.
Aren't they the wheels from greased lightning?
No 383 in this day and age ?
Get outta here : )
Tires package is terrible.
Sausage Mobile
How is this show still on...
Don’t jinx it damnit
Cool build but the wheels are dogsh*t, looks like your car is wearing golf shoes about town
Those wheels really look terrible!
The wheels are nice. Who's the maker?
hideous wheels
agreed, altho they were ok for cruising wheels, i woulda put a set of 17 inch rally style wheels
I can imagine it was a dispute over pronouns or something? This version of automotive performance entertainment is dead. We just want dudes working late hours, and slinging together budget builds. They can’t accept that throwing stupid money at a project, and lame ass scripted “bros” isn’t the formula anymore. PowerNation, get a hold of me, maybe we can make some real content 😂😂😂
REVENGE....
Build a Chevy with a FORD engine.
Why wasnt there a burnout
man I was all for this build until you put those hideous wheels on the car!
nope should have left the stupid wrap off, makes it look cheesy
