What a beauty! Nice job cleaning it up. Fantastic stitches. New machines can’t do that without having seizures!

Mine is a 28k which is the precursor to the 128k. It's the same but the bobbin winder is mounted lower.
These wonderful old machines are therapy to operate. So rhythmically hypnonic. 💖

I also have a Singer 128, but it's not quite as pretty or old as yours. Mine is from the late 30's with the celtic knot decals. I've had quite a few sewing machines but this is by far the one that I've liked best. It's small, gracefully styled with nice curves and golden flourishes but made of cast iron and robust enough to hem a pair of carhartts. It is the most treasured thing I own and I love seeing old Singer machines kept alive. Thanks for the content. Alfred.

Congratulations! I guess that is similar to Singer 99 ("The Beast").

I have this exact same machine, and the decals are called 'La Vencedora', made between 1912- 1925. The Singer 128 was made right up until 1960, but not with that decal. Also, I don't know what size needles to get for it. Can you please tell me the size? Thank-you!

You can use modern sewing machine needles. I use Schmetz needles.
The size depends on what you are sewing. For quilting cotton I use a Schmetz Universal size 11 or 12.

I oder parts here. You are better off with a new foot pedal. I don't like to use old ones in csse the wiring is faulty.

Hi, Diane! I was just gifted this same machine and I feel so fortunate. I believe mine was made May 26, 1925. You didn’t mention the year yours was made. Do you know? I can’t wait to get mine cleaned and ready to sew. Your video is great. You did a good job. Thanks.
