    Catholic Video Summary:
Getting things in right in their order is pretty important if they are to make proper sense.
Imagine you were going to read JR Tolkien classic the Hobbit, but instead of reading the pages in chronological order, you read the book by randomly selecting pages.
You start by reading page 97, then hundred and fifteen, followed by eight. Your turn a few pages and read page fourteen, two-handed and five, seventy-nine and then one-hundred and fifty four.
If you continue reading the book, jumping from one page to the other, not only will you miss the meaning of the story, your experience would be terribly frustrating, anything but enjoyable. Why? Because it doesn’t make sense.
Everything is all mixed up. Chaotic.
But if read The Hobbit, the way it was meant to be read, in chronological order, what unfolds is one of the most beloved works of classical fantasy of the 20th Century.
You have of Bilbo Baggins’, a hobbit, who’s nice quiet, comfortable, unambitious life,
is abruptly distributed, when the wizard, Gandalf, and a company of thirteen dwarves arrive on his doorstep one day to whisk him away on an unexpected journey.
They have a plot to raid the treasure a very large and very dangerous dragon!
It was the first real book I every read, and would still enjoy to read now!
You see it’s important to have things in order if they are to make sense. And so it is with life.
We when don’t place our priories in proper order, life start to loose it’s meaning. Life is no longer a joy to live. Everything seem chaotic and meaningless.
When we our life is in God’s order, life is a joyous adventure!
So what is the proper order of things?
Jesus said, “But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
What’s the first thing, God. What is the second thing, everything else. It is important not to get those two confused.
Because when God becomes the second thing, and other priorities become the first thing, we loose God, then our meaning. And then we loose our joy.
And our God given story, why we were created, this great eternal adventure, gets lost in meaningless living.
Days turn to months, months to years, years, to a life. There we will find ourselves, a spoiled life, about to die, though we never lived.
But when Jesus takes first place in our hearts. He authors a story with our life that is meaningful, that is living giving to others, that reflects His goodness, truth and beauty.
This story, that God authors with our life will be celebrated for all eternity.
Mother Teresa said, “I’m a little pencil in the hand of a writing God, who is sending a love letter to the world.”
May your life be a beautiful story by placing Jesus as the first thing in your life.
Catholicism explained simply - it's all about Jesus! This is what the faith, Roman Catholicism is all about.

Ahhh, ok God. I hear you now! I have been kept up now at 3 am thinking about what the purpose of life is. I’ve been kind of struggling with my faith and just thought about it. If there wasn’t such thing as an after life, what is the purpose of life? Why would we be here? But now I see what you’re doing. God is just straight telling me I’m putting him on the back burner, which I have been, very knowingly but not caring... I surely know what I’m doing for lent now.

this is cool and all but did you know
Gru is the most powerful being in the universe, and here’s why: according to the height of a Minion (which is 3.5 feet on average) Gru is 4 minions tall, which means he is a godly size of 14 feet tall. Second if any of you remember the original Despicable Me, you Know there is a scene when Vector kidnaps the three girls and shoots a series of heat-seeking misses at Gru, he then dodge them all. According to the speed of an average ballistic missile (1900 mph) and the size of the missile according to his ankle size, Gru can perceive and move at such a speed that the missiles only move 9.5 miles per hour, 0.5% of their original speed. Plus after this Gru punches a shark and it is paralyzed meaning its spine is probably shattered, to remind you it would require a force greater than 3,000 newtons to fracture the spine. That’s equal to the impact created by a 500-pound car crashing into a wall at 30 miles per hour. I rest my case.

Discuss the trouble and chaos caused to all the abused and sexually molested children of God, in the church by priests, discuss that!

    • @AmericanBerean
      @AmericanBerean 7 років тому +14

Yes, let's discuss it. First of all, there is no more sexual offence in Catholic institution than in the other Christian institutions. And in secular institutions (ie public schools) your child is ten times more likely to be molested. It's just that the Catholic offenses are more publicized by the mainstream media (who are progressive liberal dumocrats).
As to the catholic offenders, all the accounts publicized in the media these days are old events, from the 20th century, not present-day offenses. There have been no new offenses publicized, that I've heard. It is bad, I agree, that some of the offenders were not prosecuted under the law, and shuffled around. But all these things have been corrected (though you can never totally eliminate sin from any group of humans). Since the 2000's, due to steps taken by the American dioceses (ie background checks for ALL adults working anywhere near the youths), there have been on average seven credible allegations per year of sexual misconduct by clerics. That's about .0002% of the clergy. Compare that the late 20th century which was the height of the sexual offenses, it was maybe 2%. The late 20th saw these offenders able to work their evil deeds because of the liberalization and homosexual infiltration of some seminaries back in the 50s and 60s, producing priests out of men who were not fit for the vocation.
Now, since your institution (whether Christian or not) is no more sinless in this regard than the Catholic Church. you should examine yourself and work to correct the abuses therein. The Catholic Church is already effectively combating perversion among the priesthood. Sadly, Jesus pointed out that His Church would always have some evil people in it, until the Return of the King (the parable of the wheat and the tares). We strive to minimize it, however, and the Catholic leadership has made great strides to that end.
