I saw in a video that I had hair loss, if you have a father who is bald you can use Minoxidil, without alcohol at night without sun, to treat it, it grows, I am using it and it works. at the drugstore they tell you how to use it, you don't need a prescription, you can buy vitamins to help. another is hair implant surgery, you are in the country that has the best plastic surgeries, I know you do it and come back on the same day, you have 2 days of rest, because it is only on your head on your skin, you have to protect it from the sun. in your case I think the remedy is better, I liked it but my case is more advanced, it takes a while.

My God, okay, you'll have to go to Recife Antigo (Old Recife) there you can find the 3rd most beautiful street in the world (Rua do Bom Jesus) according to the American magazine Architectural Digest, also there are quite a few churches with some cool architecture so if you want to check that out, it'll be worth it. Then visit Marco zero, there's a boat ride that costs around 2 dollars to get to a little island with some sculptures. Centro Cultural Cais do Sertão is a good place to visit too and also Casa da Cultura. Palácio das Princesas (you can't come in wearing shorts Alex despite the heat ouch). But you'll HAVE TO go to Alto da Sé in Olinda, Recife's sister city. In Olinda you can also find beautiful architecture to take cute pictures, also a cultural place to visit in Olinda is Alceu Valença's house, a Brazilian consecrated musician. Don't forget to try our bolo de rolo, our carne de sol (sun beef), cuscuz com charque and Bolo Souza Leão. Don't forget to wear Sunscreen cause you're in Hellcife
the "R" in recife region has a difference pronounce because it has a lot of influence from the french revolution and the french language itself. Recife is in the state of pernambuco, which tried to become independent from brazil(still a portuguese colony) in 1817 following the french revolution. fun fact is that the first american embassy in brazil was the embassy located in recife. The united states supported recife´s revolt against portugal and france also supported it sending troops to train pernambuco´s state troop against portugal. The american embassy is still standing today in recife. The states of alagoas(maceio), sergipe(aracaju), rio grande do norte(natal), paraiba(joao pessoa) and part of bahia used to be all the state of pernambuco. After several revolts from pernambuco colony against portugal the states were split and that´s how they were created.
Hi guys, great video, and Yes, your Portuguese pronunciation is getting better and better. I like how quick you learned "Completa!" at the Gas station. I'm not sure how long you will be in Recife and what are your plans next, but since you are there, take a look at a flight to Fernando de Noronha, they have daily flights, it might be a bit of a splurge, but it will be a once in a lifetime experience. Unless you have plans to go back to Brazil some other time after this road trip, I would consider going there at least for a weekend. I will be happy to share details if you don't find enough information in English on the Island and National Park government website. Enjoy the Summer down there! Have fun!
do you happen to go to the south of Brazil? You also have to go to a Brazilian steakhouse (churrascaria) and eat our famous rodízio. You pay around R$ 40.00 reais and eat until you explode. there are steakhouses throughout Brazil, but the most traditional ones are in the south.
Your complete and euphoric joy at finding the Pizza Hut, in the mall, was fun to watch. No matter where you are, it's always good to find a taste of home!
I like seeing everyday/not touristic exactly experiences in foreign countries, like washing your car, going to pharmacy etc. Well done for the tip at the car wash! 🤗🤗
Welcome to Recife, guys!! 🦈🦈🦈 I wish you could see our carnival :(( don't miss the Catamaran tour, Instituto Ricardo Brennan, Museu Cais do Sertão and Marco Zero! Besides, Rua do Bom Jesus is also a great place to make some videos
Don't miss the "Alto da Sé" in Olinda, in a good day is a 30-40 min drive and is one of the best views of both cities. Also a good place to eat Tapioca.
This is a list of places to visit in Recife just google it : Mirabilandia : it’s an amusement park with a range of rides. Boa viagem beach : sand beach protected by reefs . Jaqueira Park : Urban gateway with green lawns and trails. Praça Rio Branco: Public plaza with geographical focal point .
Almost all manual services in Brazil are cheap compared to other countries, that's why here is very common to middle-class people to have maids (domestic servants / empregadas domésticas - I don't know the correct english name for it), and many brazilians go live in USA to work as house cleaners since they clean very well and don't ask a huge amount of money for it. But the problem is that the manual workers here who didn't take a specialized course in technical schools or universities tend to be poorer even though their service being good (it's not a rule, but it's most of them because the salaries aren't "fair" to the amount of work done and the inequality gets bigger, and if they put higher prices for their work they don't get customers).
Here in Brazil it is not necessary to clean the car when returning it. When we went to Maceió, I rented a car and before I returned it, I vacuumed the beach sand that was in it. When we arrived at the car rental, I saw that there was some sand that I hadn't cleaned and I apologized to the employee. He told me that there was no problem because even if I had cleaned the whole car, they would clean it again.
So far it looks like you both have made a great decision to visit Brasil. The more I watch your videos the more I wanna grab my backpack and go somewhere. Brasil is on my bucket list. You guys should make a video where you can teach us how to travel and have enough money to do it without a 9 to 5 job. Later guys
Cleaning your car is cheap here because labor is very cheap, manufacture goods on the other hand are very expensive. You'll notice that a cleaning lady, construction workers, and the majority of what is paid for a Brazilian worker is also very low. But a car, a computer, a cell phone is very expensive. It's sad, and It says a lot about what Brazilians value and what they don't.
did the cream work tho? btw I've heard that Recife is not a place to swim in the sea because there's a LOT of sharks there and it's open sea... Also there's a city called João Pessoa a few kilometers from there which is really pretty and nice as well, definitely worth checking
It's a pity that you guys are here, in Brazil in pandemic times. Today is Carnival Friday and one of the best parties in Brazil would be starting there in Recife and Olinda. If you take an advice come back again to enjoy a real Carnival in Brazil. Best experience ever.
Here in Brazil and other emerging countries have the possibility to have generic drugs. same formula, without brand names. big companies don't like it at all and some governments try to end it
Before the pandemic, when I didn't do remote work, I used to have lunch in restaurants from different countries. The variety of food is proportional to the size of the city. The same occurs within Brazil, each state has a typical food and sometimes this food is not found in another state. My wife from the countryside of Bahia and misses some typical foods and fruits. One tip is to search for food delivery in the iFood app. At least here in São Paulo pepperoni is pepperoni and calabresa is calabresa, the price and quality are different.
There's definitely a mix of different types of food in Brazil, not in the same amount as USA of course but its probably more in the bigger Brazilian cities like Sao Paulo where you can find a lot of Italian, Lebanese, Japanese food etc
I have often wondered how wonderful it might be to travel all over the world, but I am much older than you both. I might not attempt to see all that you have seen because I might not be able to do all that climbing and trekking. I might have to stick to just the more easily accessible locations. I am experiencing all this beautiful wonders through you. Thank you.
The thing about the car washers is: most of the places where is a person washing, you're supposed to "book" because it usually takes an hour or more to wash. That's why they kept on recommending other places, so you don't have to wait 😁
Most Brazilians are honest hardworking people - but please do be careful - even little things like when employees bring over a swipe (card) machine - make sure no one sees the keys (pin numbers, passwords, etc) you type plus never handle people your credit cards 💳 or debit cards (you might get asked to) - there's been incidents they swipe your card using a machine that copies your data - it's a way they clone credit cards in Brazil

Welcome to Recife, BR.
*TIPS* ABOUT RECIFE HERE IN BRAZIL ...THE PIZZAHUT LARGE SIZE HAS A BETTER TASTE AND FLAVOUR THAN A PERSONAL SIZE PIZZA, SO ASK A LARGE PIZZA FOR TWO, ITS BETTER, I ALWAYS MAKE THIS CHOICE......... *TAKE CARE ABOUT SHARKS IN RECIFE IS FATAL, DONT ENTER IN OCEAN* IT SERIOUS !!!
I totally get what you guys mean about your home country food, I have lived in Japan for 14 years and one of the things I missed the most were food and drinks from Brazil, now that I'm back in Brazil I miss the japanese food, can't have everything I guess.
Ar least now there are japanese food everywhere in Brazil :)
@@filipebarral6312 actually not really Japanese food. Kind of... It's rare to find a real Japanese food in Brazil.
you were in several cities and did not go to any mall, you didn’t go to any self service restaurant, you only ate street food all the time, but I understand, in your country it is different, but in Sao Paulo, Rio, Salvador, Recife you find Mexican, Chinese, pizzeria restaurants everywhere
O local com maior diversidade culinária é SP.
Bem vindos a Pernambuco
Há outras praias que sugiro vocês visitarem
1 - Cabo Santo Agostinho
Calhetas e Gaibú
2- Paulista
Marinha Farinha
3- Goiana

4:00 I don't know how it's like outside of Brazil, but these guys don't just fuel the car. They can help with the mechanics, check water, oil, etc (for free). They help a lot. Usually they say "bomba zerada" so that you can see that the fuel is actually being inserted (at that moment you look at the gas pump to see if the count is starting from 0).
They paid $ 30 for the ointment and found it cheap.
This is as expensive for us as if you were paying $ 150 in the USA
Have fun!
Look for a good "pizza rodizio" in recife. It is very different from American pizza and you can taste different flavors too
do you happen to go to the south of Brazil?
They need to be careful and dont go swimming in BV beach 🦈
@@rafaelgalindo4794 I talked to Lindsay about that on Instagram and she said they were aware. Hopefully they will give us some videos in Boa Viagem :)
Excited to be here 🙏🏻
Sou de Minas Gerais e fui turistar no Nordeste. Apaixonei em Recife, cidade muito linda
Don't miss the "Alto da Sé" in Olinda, in a good day is a 30-40 min drive and is one of the best views of both cities. Also a good place to eat Tapioca.
This is a list of places to visit in Recife just google it :
Mirabilandia : it’s an amusement park with a range of rides.

Later guys
Visit the *Ricardo Brennand Castle* in Recife!!! Highly Recommended!!!
It's just like when we spend a lot of time in US eating burgers all days and sometimes we want the "real food", like rice and beans!
Lol i feel this
Cleaning your car is cheap here because labor is very cheap, manufacture goods on the other hand are very expensive.
Also there's a city called João Pessoa a few kilometers from there which is really pretty and nice as well, definitely worth checking
thank you for visiting my state...welcome always!
It's a pity that you guys are here, in Brazil in pandemic times. Today is Carnival Friday and one of the best parties in Brazil would be starting there in Recife and Olinda. If you take an advice come back again to enjoy a real Carnival in Brazil. Best experience ever.
Here in Brazil and other emerging countries have the possibility to have generic drugs. same formula, without brand names. big companies don't like it at all and some governments try to end it
boa... bem lembrado!
Boa viagem!
Pq tava parado com pandemia hehe
Go to Olinda, it's unique! Recife is a normal big city.
At least here in São Paulo pepperoni is pepperoni and calabresa is calabresa, the price and quality are different.
thank you for sharing your trip here in Brazil from last year!!! Really nice!!!
Thank you.
Poxa. O vídeo terminou tão rápido. 😢😭
The thing about the car washers is: most of the places where is a person washing, you're supposed to "book" because it usually takes an hour or more to wash. That's why they kept on recommending other places, so you don't have to wait 😁
Fofa demais...
Most Brazilians are honest hardworking people - but please do be careful - even little things like when employees bring over a swipe (card) machine - make sure no one sees the keys (pin numbers, passwords, etc) you type plus never handle people your credit cards 💳 or debit cards (you might get asked to) - there's been incidents they swipe your card using a machine that copies your data - it's a way they clone credit cards in Brazil
that was the worst looking pizza i have ever seen haha....
That’s what I thought...all base and minimal topping. Dry looking
No need to apologize for being a bit homesick and craving for some homelike food. It's pretty understandable.
Recife é considerada a Veneza do Brasil .
This is one of the wonders for americans who visit Brazil. A dollar is worth more than five times a Brazilian real.
Note: Glad you liked the food court in the malls here.
Thanks for the nice video! I'm sorry people bother you about your skin; your explanation was spot on though 👌 And don't let anyone make you guys feel bad just because you aren't eating what they think you should. Good job on the driving too! I did 1700km in Ecuador a few years ago and that South American driving is no joke! Fun but always crazy.
It's a pity that you guys couldn't enjoy the carnival this year. It would be end of this week, you would have had a unique experience in life!

13:15 technically you do need a prescription to buy it in Brazil as well. At least it’s what that red label at the box says

Principalmente se for alérgica a frio e calor.
For dinner in Recife you should try Entre Amigos O Bode , regional food. Goat picanha is one of the different flavors you guys can get.
Hahaha. it's true Lindsey! ... it's not just foreigners who have this problem. I also have this difficulty with the people here. When I ask for information, people insist on giving the direction, but I just want the name of the place or the address to put on the GPS.
Guys, You need to go to Olinda! Also taste juices of siriguela, umbu, caja !!! And pay attencion at the local music, o FREVO! Its amazing!!!
