Thanks for watching, friends. We know not a lot happened today, but we have a ton of amazing things planned to show you in the next few weeks 🙏🏻
Fernando de Noronha next video?!
Before you both go please don’t let visit Iguaçu Falls and the Amazon River
You cannot go to Manaus because it's chaotic at the moment because of a new variant of Covid-19 that is killing many people and the hospitals are collapsed.
I'm always here no matter what!
I saw in a video that I had hair loss, if you have a father who is bald you can use Minoxidil, without alcohol at night without sun, to treat it, it grows, I am using it and it works. at the drugstore they tell you how to use it, you don't need a prescription, you can buy vitamins to help. another is hair implant surgery, you are in the country that has the best plastic surgeries, I know you do it and come back on the same day, you have 2 days of rest, because it is only on your head on your skin, you have to protect it from the sun. in your case I think the remedy is better, I liked it but my case is more advanced, it takes a while.

C'mon. You two have shown so much respect for Brazil that it even helps me keep good things about this country in my mind. Just the fact that you've put effort to say Recife and Pousada is awesome. I couldn't be more appreciative.
Esses nordestino carente q so fica falando merda do brasil é foda
I found it funny: Alex and Lindsay when faced with several fast food: "let's eat at home!!!!!!!"
@@Prof.Ricardo Exatamente.
@@Prof.Ricardo Perfeito seu comentário! Além disso, eles comem muito mal. Muita gordura, muito embutido, produtos processados, nada saudável.
Recife has many museums, I recommend you visit the Ricardo Brennand Castle (voted the best in Brazil, it is a medieval castle with medieval weapons), the frevo museum (there you will be able to learn more about the local culture and the local carnival), Synagogue Kahal Zur Israel (1st in the Americas, Jews expelled from here in the 1600s went to the USA and founded New York), and the Cais do sertão museum
Yessss
Up! Beautiful place, is amazing!
yeeeeeeeessssss
Meu Deus, sim
and the pernambuco state museum
Welcome to Recife Guys, visite Olinda City too.👍
“It’s like a taste of home” - fast food 😂
Brazilians are not used to eat a lot of fast food, we like more a “real meal” with vegetables, rice, beans and meat
Oba! Já veio com legendas!
It's a pity that you guys are here, in Brazil in pandemic times. Today is Carnival Friday and one of the best parties in Brazil would be starting there in Recife and Olinda. If you take an advice come back again to enjoy a real Carnival in Brazil. Best experience ever.
4:00 I don't know how it's like outside of Brazil, but these guys don't just fuel the car. They can help with the mechanics, check water, oil, etc (for free). They help a lot. Usually they say "bomba zerada" so that you can see that the fuel is actually being inserted (at that moment you look at the gas pump to see if the count is starting from 0).
I totally get what you guys mean about your home country food, I have lived in Japan for 14 years and one of the things I missed the most were food and drinks from Brazil, now that I'm back in Brazil I miss the japanese food, can't have everything I guess.
Ar least now there are japanese food everywhere in Brazil :)
@@filipebarral6312 actually not really Japanese food. Kind of... It's rare to find a real Japanese food in Brazil.
I have often wondered how wonderful it might be to travel all over the world, but I am much older than you both. I might not attempt to see all that you have seen because I might not be able to do all that climbing and trekking. I might have to stick to just the more easily accessible locations. I am experiencing all this beautiful wonders through you. Thank you.
Welcome to Recife, BR.
Shopping malls are very globalized - anywhere in the world you go, if there´s a mall, you see the same restaurants - pizza hut, dominos pizza, Mcdonalds, Chinese and Japanese food, Italian food - all frozen food. There is also a chain of Brazilian food - Fogão de Minas in our malls (not the same food as a stand-alone restaurant, but decent food) - they serve rice and beans, picanha etc... Recife has nice beaches, but the best thing I did in Recife when I went there was to board on a plane to the island of Fernando de Noronha - a paradise. This was back in the 90´s, not sure how it is today if it´s still as pristine as it was...
*TIPS* ABOUT RECIFE HERE IN BRAZIL ...THE PIZZAHUT LARGE SIZE HAS A BETTER TASTE AND FLAVOUR THAN A PERSONAL SIZE PIZZA, SO ASK A LARGE PIZZA FOR TWO, ITS BETTER, I ALWAYS MAKE THIS CHOICE......... *TAKE CARE ABOUT SHARKS IN RECIFE IS FATAL, DONT ENTER IN OCEAN* IT SERIOUS !!!
It's just like when we spend a lot of time in US eating burgers all days and sometimes we want the "real food", like rice and beans!
Lol i feel this
Welcome to Recife - PE, hope you have a beautiful time here, nice video 👏👏👏👏 Congratulations. If you like art and history Instituto Ricardo Brennand is a must. A place as nice as it can be it is nice to miss home, when it's a good place. Enjoy all that it is there for you, have a blessed time 🙏
MY LAND
My God, okay, you'll have to go to Recife Antigo (Old Recife) there you can find the 3rd most beautiful street in the world (Rua do Bom Jesus) according to the American magazine Architectural Digest, also there are quite a few churches with some cool architecture so if you want to check that out, it'll be worth it. Then visit Marco zero, there's a boat ride that costs around 2 dollars to get to a little island with some sculptures. Centro Cultural Cais do Sertão is a good place to visit too and also Casa da Cultura. Palácio das Princesas (you can't come in wearing shorts Alex despite the heat ouch). But you'll HAVE TO go to Alto da Sé in Olinda, Recife's sister city. In Olinda you can also find beautiful architecture to take cute pictures, also a cultural place to visit in Olinda is Alceu Valença's house, a Brazilian consecrated musician. Don't forget to try our bolo de rolo, our carne de sol (sun beef), cuscuz com charque and Bolo Souza Leão. Don't forget to wear Sunscreen cause you're in Hellcife
Here in Brazil it is not necessary to clean the car when returning it. When we went to Maceió, I rented a car and before I returned it, I vacuumed the beach sand that was in it. When we arrived at the car rental, I saw that there was some sand that I hadn't cleaned and I apologized to the employee. He told me that there was no problem because even if I had cleaned the whole car, they would clean it again.
Cool! Hope you had a great time and be safe!!!!!
You guys are the best I love your videos Recife is a large city beautiful place Boa Viagem is very nice beach and warm water just watch out for the sharks. :). Thanks again
the "R" in recife region has a difference pronounce because it has a lot of influence from the french revolution and the french language itself. Recife is in the state of pernambuco, which tried to become independent from brazil(still a portuguese colony) in 1817 following the french revolution. fun fact is that the first american embassy in brazil was the embassy located in recife. The united states supported recife´s revolt against portugal and france also supported it sending troops to train pernambuco´s state troop against portugal. The american embassy is still standing today in recife. The states of alagoas(maceio), sergipe(aracaju), rio grande do norte(natal), paraiba(joao pessoa) and part of bahia used to be all the state of pernambuco. After several revolts from pernambuco colony against portugal the states were split and that´s how they were created.
Cool time lapse of city at night with the music. Great travel information today. Looking forward to your adventures. Cheers to pizza & soda!
🇧🇷fomos invocados
Hahahahah so funny see you guys eating and happy with your kind your food!! I know exactly how it's because when I go abroad I feel the same after some days eating diferent food ! Every time you "need" to have some familiar food go to a mall. You'll find all principals amercian's food brands. Big cities it's easy to find😉
For dinner in Recife you should try Entre Amigos O Bode , regional food. Goat picanha is one of the different flavors you guys can get.
Go to Fortaleza....it's beautiful too.
Boa viagem!
Pq tava parado com pandemia hehe
Almost all manual services in Brazil are cheap compared to other countries, that's why here is very common to middle-class people to have maids (domestic servants / empregadas domésticas - I don't know the correct english name for it), and many brazilians go live in USA to work as house cleaners since they clean very well and don't ask a huge amount of money for it. But the problem is that the manual workers here who didn't take a specialized course in technical schools or universities tend to be poorer even though their service being good (it's not a rule, but it's most of them because the salaries aren't "fair" to the amount of work done and the inequality gets bigger, and if they put higher prices for their work they don't get customers).
Here in Brazil and other emerging countries have the possibility to have generic drugs. same formula, without brand names. big companies don't like it at all and some governments try to end it
boa... bem lembrado!
The restaurant Parraxaxá is a great place for you know the local food
Verdade !
Brazil instituted a thing where we just permitted company’s to make the same medicine as the branded ones (generic)
That made the prices get fair here… principally comparing to the US
Vocês precisam ir pra Fortaleza cidade top demais.
The night shot is spectacular. I like the view.
Verdade, eu moro em Recife .Saludos Ivete manica Casagrande.
HELLO Lindsey Alex 🇵🇪🇺🇸
I definitely knows how it feels, I went to US in 2018, had a lot of American food, but the best meal I had was in a Brazilian Restaurant eating my daily food of Brazil lol
Enjoy Recife, you can visit Marco Zero and Brennand museum, u guys are getting closer to my hometown, Fortaleza.
Awesome I’m going there next month
PLEASEEE GO TO FERNANDO DE NORONHA ITS ME MOST BEAUTIFUL ISLAND IN BRAZIL
Ohhh ! Vida boa !
Exciting to see how you guys were glad to visit the mall haha You should visit Brasília too, the country's capital!
I’m with you on the food! I just moved here, been here for 2 months and would just die for some good Mexican food, poke bowl, Thai food, just a good American style club sandwich with bacon and avocado 😋🙌🏻💜 The US has such a huge variety of foods, you can’t beat it...
I've been renting cars during my vacation trips around Brazil, and I have never taken them to wash before giving them back. I'm used to asking the attenders about that necessity previously, and they always replie me that's not necessary.

The car washing was cheap, even for Brazil. Normally is around R$40.00 in Southeast of Brazil.
yaaay you guys at my city ❤️
It was fun to watch this video because it was different. I think l prefer large cities, at least there are more things to do.
Thumbs up! Be aware about the sharks on the beachs of Recife.
Once time in Orlando, FL I bought a hot dog+plus large soda, for $1,99 at Seven Eleven. But if I had bought just the hot dog, I would pay $2,30. Honestly I guess that in US they give soda for free...hahahaha🤩
You should stick to the car if you're coming north. Much easier to move around in a private vehicle here!
This is one of the wonders for americans who visit Brazil. A dollar is worth more than five times a Brazilian real.
Note: Glad you liked the food court in the malls here.
Even in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo the car wash would be a lot more expensive.
YES, a lot of various drugs are OTC here in Brasil, including BP meds
About the only that need a prescription are psych drugs, but easy to get through any DR
More than HALF of Brasil is on psych drugs like Sertalina, Paxil, Zanax etc, their dogs too !
Nice trip and thanks for the video guys, but be very careful with sharks in Recife.
Try to find a cream for Alex´s wrist called Canela de Velho - it´s worked for my tendonitis... you pour it on the affected area and massage for a little bit, then after a while, the inflammation is gone...
you guys need to try this food called PASTEL
fingers crossed it works for you
great video has always
try living here in the uk we get ripped off everywhere for anything
enjoy guys keep safe

Q&A what did you think of the hospital's structure, attendance, the amount of time it takes, is it what you're used to in the US?

Geeez. Car wash is at the fleet rental’s expense. They are equipped for such. All you need is to turn your ride with a full tank and no additional dents other than what was pre reported.
As for Recife, grow eyes on your back. I heard plenty petty crimes take place on Recife. Since the pandemic, the number of scams have skyrocketed. Main targets are unsuspecting tourists and elderly folk. So watch fir tiger camera gear , cell phone. Street artists target those Knick knacks above all other items.
Carry cash for a hold up. Stick the other half on your shoes ( that’s right , no sandals ). And make sure to wear the cheapest and most comfortable footwear you can get your hands on.
You kids are too good natured. Get smart.
Please, go to Jalapão
That’s a plan!
meu país pernambuco
You guys really need to have a true Brazilian pizza experience
Are you guys using sunscreen? Please take it serious in order not to get insolation or severe sun burns! You have to use it every hour
Aqui joga tudo no bueiro.
