- In “Saving The Best For Last,” a former BMX kid eventually, at age 40, finds the capability of a mountain bike and merges his past with the present for some wild stunts.
“I couldn’t not, I just couldn’t drive or ride past these spots anymore without knowing what it felt like to ride them,” Allan Cooke said. The Old Dawg is up to the same tricks-enjoy the show.

Proof you don't need a billion dollar budget to be excellent. This made me want to ride more than any over produced drone zipline slowmo hype edit ever did. The focus is on the riding , not the hype. Keep up the good work.
All about talent and creativity! That’s what I love watching, film it on an iPhone 4 idc.
yeah this is a sick edit. vibez
welcome to reality
That log ride was spicy
Seems like every day I find a bmxer I used to look up to and love watching from my bmx days, riding a mtb. So much of my mtb riding style and inspiration comes from those days, and it’s so rad seeing all these riders absolutely shred big wheel suspension bikes. Stay rad!!
I am a non denominations cycle enthusiast, anything with 2 wheels and handlebars and I am cool...except scooters that is. Haha
When the TM better than the riders. So good.
LOLOLOL.
yea agreed 1000%
Love it. So fresh. Always a fan of AC and whatever he does
Love the old skate vid vibes.
Innovative stuff.. this makes me want to go ride my bike.. and jib.. in the mountains..
Hells yeah, that is the best possible outcome from doing an edit like this, getting the people going is what it is all about.
Coolest MTB Video 2023!!! Respect!!!!
Cheers my man, thanks a ton for the love.
agreed
This is sooo good!
Remind me of those aggressive inline edits from 2000's - the thing that got me into extreme sports
I love it. Everything about it. Production quality was perfect for an edit. It made me go back in time. So sick.
as a beginner rider who goes to ucsc a lot, edits like these where I can actually recognize some of the trails such as at 0:50 are really inspiring and awesome to see. great video
Hells yeah my man, fires me up that these clips stoked your fire, get out there and send it!
Music & riding was rad
that stumpjumper is surely taking a beating hahahaahha
That skinny and rockslide cage ride was gnar, hell yeah! 😆🤘👊
Still get sweaty palms watching that quarry drop. Haha
Sick Video! I have ridden for years past that skinny and wondered Who would ride that and now We Know!
Love the creativity!! Reminds me what Think Thanks production did for snowboarding! Such inspiration!
Hell yeah. What an excellent video
Absolutely epic and personal. The video made me feel like part of your bike gang.
Nice, turns out everyone is in the "Good Times Crew" just not everyone knows it yet. Haha
THAT SKINNY WAS SERIOUSLY GNARLY. LOVE THESE KIND OF VIDEOS!
Oops caps lock was on.
Nice to see something other than bike park lap after bike park lap. Looking forward to the next edit.
Wild!
Different mtb riding and I love it !
Back to why we started mtb : find things to ride, do it et find another one 😊
MTB, mountains not needed. haha
Damn that was gnarly! So stoked to see Allan still sending it!

Cheers My Dude!

Cheers Duder.

Can't stop, wont stop! 😎

It was just there, someone had to send it, haha.
Hype 🤘
So wild
This is awesome
Cheers player.
Yeahhh! He does it for the love of the ride. Inspiring? Hell Yes. No armor, just skill.
Sometimes the only way to get myself is to have no plan B, no pads no worries. Lol
Using a short travel stumpjumper as a slopeduro is so steezy 🤙🏼 the treeride was sick too reminded me of rough af rip Jordie ❤️
Cheers my man!
Gnarly-tastic!
aaaaand that's a new word for my vocabulary.
Sick
Bravo 👏

Such a sick video boys

Fuuuuuck yeah one of my all time favorite riders
Cheers my man!
What a Mad dog!!
Wooofff, cheers my man!
HELL YES.
Some things never change huh, just like old times out there. Lol
Heck yeah Allan! As long as we''re still out there rolling and getting our giggles that's all that matters. 🤙@@allancooke6798
@@ronpitcher138 100%
That was fucking insane!!!
Aye! Some of that was filmed at UC Santa Cruz. I am at a total loss for words for describing how insane riding down the rock wall at the Quarry is. It's a sheer vertical cliff. How do you even look at that and think of bombing down that?!
In my head I was like, its about the same as the roll in for the Mega Ramp and I did that on 20" wheels so why not ride down the cable mesh on a MTB, haha. Glad that one worked or it would have been a long night.
@@allancooke6798 You sir are an absolute mad man! Mega props to ya for sending it. In the shot of you sizing up the run, I thought it was gonna be a part of a narrative and had zero expectations you'd actually ride it. Absolutely blew my mind! Are you a Santa Cruz local or were you just in town for the shoot?
@@chrisminnig7144 Sick my man, glad it got you stoked. I live here in SC, been here for about 11 years and it is safe to say this is HOME. No plans of leaving...ever.
This edit and a 50to01 video in the same week? What did we do to deserve such delectable offerings??
My riding is heavily influenced by the time I have been able to spend with the 50to01 fellas, real people, real motivation and an inspiring way to see the world. ❤
@@allancooke6798 Ah I thought it was influenced by being a legendary BMXer and riding in the golden era of BMX with all the greats lol. It's pretty validating how many of my BMX heroes are on MTB now.
That was my hood!! FUCKING SWEET!!!
The Best Hood there is, SC for the win.
now this is freeride. what its about
Ride Your Bike Everywhere!
What helmet is Allan wearing ?? I want one .
Great marketing video for the stumpy flex stays
Some gnarly riding and great clips. It would be even better without destroying other peoples property. 1:26
We did do our best to leave everything as it was before we filmed any clips, apologies for any collateral damage, sometimes I just can't not.😉
Damnnnn that skinny is gnarly
But it fell there so why not, haha.
From a bmx viewpoint. This is what rollerblading is to skaters.
Oofff, that was a bit harsh. I am not sure if a few of these moves are possible on a 20" but would be stoked to see someone try. Let me know if you need the coordinates to any of these spots, would love to see you give it a go.
Don't get me wrong. This is some good stuff but it's nowhere near what riders like Brett Silva or Dacota Roche pull off.
Myself, hell no I'm not pulling off shit like this. 😂
@@mountaincruiser817 lol your comparison is nowhere near any of the riders you just mentioned.. completely different riding style
@@dr3iii ain't that the truth.
@@mountaincruiser817 Yeah couldn't agree more, those cats are on another level indeed.
Dude I'm old and im tired of riding all over UCSC looking for that big ass jump. Im a local born and raised in Santa Cruz....WHY CANT I FIND THAT FUCKIMG BIG ASS JUMP??? SOMEBODY TELL ME BEFOFE WINTER!!@!!!
Take a right at the Step Up on Juggs, its right there.
Right on brother!! I race North Star DH 40+ in the summer, I need to get my big stuff practice in. THANK YOU!! @@allancooke6798
that's an edit
Went from riding nyquist park to riding a mountain bike wtf
Great riding but it bothers me that you damaged the roof of the self storage building. I hope you had the decency to get it repaired.
Ngl, this shit made me turn off the video half-way and go ride my Bike instead of wasting away here..
Thank you,
I'll come back for the other half 😘
Yessss, mission accomplished then, it was all worth it.
"former bmx kid" uh he won x games dirt back in the day
if its a city biking video then dont put forests in the middle
like... if all footage is daytime dont put night shots inbetween
Apologies for the lack of continuity there for you, it's just a collection of how I ride. In the streets, forest or whatever we find its all bikes.
sweet jibs. music blows tho
somethings wrong with this guy
I AM OK! Haha
Property damage isn’t cool. Roofs are expensive and damaging a roof is really disturbing. Ridding was awesome, camera work was great. Just hope these Jack asses can grow up and stop breaking other people’s shelters.
No roofs were damaged in the making, I did bend the hell out of that gutter when I 60/40'd that Storage facility. We did repair it and no roof tiles were broken. We are still jackasses and probably wont be growing up anytime soon, but we have become much more respectful on how we operate.
Thanks it was a awesome edit.
@@ianswayne7296 Oh yeah I forgot to mention too, it was a Public Storage facility roof we were on. A quick google search let me know the companies annual revenue is 4.3 billion so I figured they could take the hit if needed. Haha
Super bummed I had to watch the whole video with the sound off because the shit choice of song. I tried to ignore it but couldn’t. Seriously tho, who thought that was a good idea?
We think it's a good song choice. Maybe it's just you? lol
dude the video is rad but the music is unlistenable. video 10/10 on mute
