@@eachin9105 yes, I also use that word when people have high abilities and seem confident (and can come from envy), but Milo isn't arrogant. He's confident in a good way and knows his limits and abilities.
As a dad I have to admit I have learned a ton about parenting my girls. Specifically how to dad when the kids are involved in some dangerous sports and hobbies. The thoughtfulness you show to the boys is inspiring. Keep it up!!!
Great example of how to properly support a young processing rider or anyone processing for that matter, lots of helpful tips and encouragement without pressure. Milo has a really strong approach to these challenges, kid is a beast
You are killing it as a dad. Giving them just the right amount of confidence and not pushing them beyond what they are ready for. It's hard sometimes to let them try new things that you might not know they are ready for, but letting them trust their instincts. You're kids are growing up to be such awesome riders!
2:49 seth often mentions this. maybe it would be cool if he did a video where he measures the lengths of all the gaps, heights of all the drops and the steepness of the sections like the Elmer fudd bridge on berm peak express to give us more of an understanding watching these videos
I don't have kids but this makes me consider having one or two. That smile from the pops watching his son grow with new experiences it truly heartwarming and I see it as one of the best feelings as a parent.
Great footage, and great job Milo! I’ve been having these conversations with my kids for years now. Teaching them how to calculate risk and accurately assess the “risk versus gain” while assessing their technical ability. Learning life lessons as a family! Great stuff!
I love this. I literally just got back from riding dirt jumps with my 11 Yr old grandson on our bmx bikes and saw this. It's a great bit kinda scary thing to do but he's absolutely buzzing right now. Well done Milo 👍
This was honestly such a great video. Milo was so dialed in! It’s great to get to watch the youth these days pushing their limits. We did not have the privilege of videos and older people helping us when we were kids in the early 80’s learning how to jump and do stuff out of our comfort zone. Lots of times it ended in disaster or sometimes we pulled it off. All in all it’s a learning experience you can apply to other things in life as well! Thanks for sharing such a cherished moment! Milo you rock buddy!!!🤙
I enjoyed this video SOOOO much. Congrats Milo you're crushing these features!!!! Always great seeing collaborations between Seth and the Porters. Thanks all!
Hell yea Milo! I have to say, you're one of my dad role models. My daughter's 5 and we just ordered her first "real bike" for her 6th birthday, a Specialized Jett. She loves riding and I'm excited to grow with her. Keep it up
That's awesome to hear! It's pretty fun helping the kids have a good time on bikes, and it just keeps getting better. Have fun riding with your daughter, tell her I said Happy Birthday!
Ex Bmx racer and 4x in the uk.kids got skills.I like how you broke things down with him, correct way.I like also stating doesn't matter how long it takes.I always say commit or don't bother its OK to come back and try another day if it doesn't feel right.but once committed no backing out getting caught in two minds!
Finally!!! A new Porter Mtb video. These videos are amazing. You guys should come down here to SC and ride Biggin Creek. I would love to show y’all around!!!
The boys have definitely come a long way, fast skills wise and the new FS bikes have definitely stepped their confidence up to another level. After seeing Milo at Berm Park, he definitely had all those features at Berm Peak, and had every right to be proud, hopefully Dad reminded him of the difference between confidence and cocky - one is good to have, the other can get you in trouble.
I’ve said it before, but it’s worth repeating; what an awesome pair of boys you’ve got! They have a real chill and knowledgable teacher also though! 🥰👍
Skills! Not only was waiting to hit these features a good idea because Milo didn't get hurt, but he also had fun. Always important to keep the stoke alive and not burn out because of stress.
About the snowboard jump, that’s absolutely insane! I have no clue how he had the guts to send that big of a jump on a board! I ski, but you still need a lot of courage, tell him he did a good job
I wish I was lucky enough to be Milo's age with the gear these kids have at there disposal and the facilities too! The progression they are capable of is insane now compared to when I was in my peak riding years looking back as I'm about to turn 46 in a few weeks.
You know you should tell Milo about Nica racing park city high school has a team and it is super fun it keeps them in shape and give them different places to ride and experiences they won't forget. I ride for Lone Peak and have been doing it for two years I assume Milo is either in 8th or 9th grade but you should do it next year.
He is racing for the Wasatch Middle School Team, he's in 7th grade! We'll be at the Cedar City race, and did the Eagle Mtn race last weekend, it's so much fun!
@@PorterMTB I know just from watching he will super love cedar city course my advise is, take the techier lines cause other kids won't but he will so he can pass those kids. Good luck thanks for the amazing videos!
Porter, great to see you discuss risk management and being patient to manage confidence vs skill. As a dad of a twelve year old son, this is great advice for me. Thanks.
How into Jaxson Riddle is Milo?! Those glasses hes wearing make me think of the Rampage Peoples Champ. Man Milo shreds, no surprise, hes a Porter but damn. That Berm Park video was 🔥 too. Thanks Porter family. You guys are an inspiration for us and our little shredder.
Wow what a fantastic video really enjoyed watching it and it’s fantastic to see a child got a Dad like you to teach a child. I would love to learn how to do those things been riding mountain bikes for over 20 years and never been shown how to do those fixtures
Is there any chance you could make a short video on how to install o rings? I know it’s really basic but I can’t figure it out and a video would help a lot!
I’ve always wanted to get into mountain biking or snowboarding but my family doesn’t have the money for those type of festivities but I’ve been skateboarding for about 4 years now witch I love and is the closest I can get to that
Milo at 12 hitting those jumps that smooth on a snowboard was siiickk
That's a huge jump. Takes some speed and balls to hit.
No he is bad and really aragent

One of my fav things about mountain bike culture is we all leave our helmets on even when not riding, it’s so classic
Really great job Milo, so cool to see that progression.
Wouldn't mind a video recapping Milos snowboarding winter haha.
Nice one milo! Much love from the Philippines! 💖
Thanks! We would love to go to the Philippines!!
I just want to say that the glasses look really good on milo
So rad! Nice work Milo! Great coaching by Seth and dad too!
We all knew Milo was a ripper, but he looked super comfortable. Nice work, Milo!
Way to go, Milo! That was sick! -Blake
You are my favourite UA-camr you inspired me to start mtb
Fun to see how fast milo has progressed!!

That last piece of advice from Eric is great.
Hahaha he did the introduction in a way that I am loving it, and Oscar stole the show.
Try the bike trails of Fairhope Alabama I went there last spring and it was extreme

When he landed the whale tail i was so releaved but excited, as a father myself. He's gonna be a pro with sponsors in no time.
The hub on that bike is so obnoxious, and I absolutely love it.
Haha me too
Just saw y’all at the gailbreath CDC race. Nice job milo on first place in his first enduro race.
Funny my local there's a few bigger jumps and no ones ever hits them I mean I love too do them with someone lol slow and steady progression
It was the same at my dirt jumps growing up, took me years to safely work up to the big jumps!
Milo is a shredder! Great job dad!
