How funny. A couple months ago, I thrifted a side table that matches this table. I left mine as is, it’s cool to see what it could look like painted. You did an amazing job 💖
Glazing for me makes the piece feel dirty rather than antique looking. Although it’s not my style the piece turned out really nice. I also enjoyed the top natural. It’s nice to see someone giving something old a new life. We live in such a throw away society now. I see pieces like this on the curb all the time yet look how beautiful it looks in your space with just a little imagination and elbow grease💕💗💕

Question: Do you and your husband do renovations on weekends or weekdays? How do you balance your home renovations with your schedules? My fiance and I have normal work schedules and its taking awhile for us to renovate our home because we are both busy with work. My fiance does all the home renovations. His name is Thomas just like your husband. :)
If you take a large nail and punch holes in around the rim of the paint cans after you open them, the paint will drain back inside and save you more paint than trying to shove it back in with a brush or letting it just run down the sides of the can and be wasted.

This sturdy functional table is a godsend with young boys. I have a similar table I bought new in '99. It's lived thru play with toy cars and trains, little boy meals in front of the TV, feet of teens at same TV, etc etc etc. I'll try this refinish idea because she deserves a new look for the grandkids on the horizon.

I was surprised you didn’t have Thomas make a shelf to fit on the bottom like your inspiration piece. He is so talented at woodworking, then bringing your visions to life.

I love how this project turned out!!!!!!! I would never have thought to mix colors and use the wax to give it the finished look and the top of the table is gorgeous ❤️❤️❤️❤️
beautiful piece! but you have to put a sealer on it. raw wood need protection. u can use water based poly or furniture wax. but you need something to protect it.

He got a really good deal that's solid wood that's really you know that solid wood table for $35 you cannot beat that you can't go to the store and buy anything with solid wood much anymore
