That was a lot of work. It looks great. Ashley you really look like your mother. That stonework you used for the fireplace looks great. I like that you did the shiplap vertical. Flooring looks perfect too. Even painting the wicker furniture is a great update. And all the finishing touches, it's so warm and inviting. Your mother is really going to enjoy that room.
If you can't get the white paint off the black pants, take a sharpie and color over it a couple of time. The sharpie may fade after washing, so color over it again. It won't look perfect but it looks so much better. I have had this happen to me before.

Painting one room takes an entire week, creates havoc in your life, diet and family time. If you hire a professional, they come. They work. They clean up after themselves. Then they leave, and it is done. Meanwhile life continued as usual. The housework is done. Decent meals were prepared and eaten. The children went to school with their homework completed. Mom and Dad might have even had some alone time. Life is good.
